Chapter 98

Report

As soon as Angor shouted, the glowing green runes on his back suddenly shrank and returned to their original position.

When his voice fell, some things changed strangely, just like his holographic tablet.

Before Sunders' dagger could land on Angor's chest, a giant mouth full of fangs suddenly appeared on the wall behind him and swallowed Angor whole. Sunders was left holding the dagger and sticking it into the ground with a confused look on his face.

The wall returned to normal after swallowing Angor. Sunders did not care about the dagger on the ground. He touched the wall in surprise. It was flat without any bumps. That giant mouth with fangs that appeared out of nowhere was like a dream …

"Damn it! It got away!" Sunders punched the ground.

Angor thought he was going to die after being swallowed by the giant mouth. If he knew he was going to rot in the stomach of some monster, he would rather die in the hands of the younger Sunders!

When Angor thought he was going to fall into the monster's stomach full of corrosive fluid, the giant mouth spat him out again.

Angor was spat out by the giant mouth and landed on the ground under a wall.

He wondered why the giant mouth didn't eat him, but he was relieved that he managed to escape from Sunders' clutches.

However, the pain did not ease. He still could not stand up.

Angor tried his best to stay upright and looked around. He found himself in the same maze of alleyways. But to his surprise, the alleyway looked a little familiar.

On the wet ground not far away, there was a horizontal and vertical Chinese character: An.

This was a mark he had written with his finger. Did that mean that he had walked through this alley before? Angor looked at the character and felt a little relieved.

He was back at the same place as before, but at least he was sure there was no monster here.

He could not even move now. If he was killed by a monster in a strange place, it would not be worth it. At least for now, Angor was lucky.

Angor's injuries were much better after one night.

The pain on his body lessened a little. The pain on his back, especially, was almost gone. Angor was surprised. He did not use any medicine, but his injuries were mostly healed.

Angor was also surprised that he did not bleed at all. Were they all internal injuries? Angor stood up and walked around a little. Apart from some joints that were not damaged, there were no signs of internal injuries.

This was a miracle! Could it be that after experiencing the near-death experience brought about by the wall, his body's recovery ability had greatly improved? Angor thought to himself.

He checked the time. It was 8 o 'clock in the morning. After another night, Angor decided to continue his journey.

However, there was only one path in front of him, which was the same path he took yesterday. He had to go through the hall guarded by the blue giant to reach the next stage. He tried all the other paths, and they all led to dead ends. This was the only way for him to move forward.

Angor's journey, he kept thinking about the younger version of Sunders. Was he really his mentor who had entered the Nightmare Realm with him? If that was the case, why did he become so young and his strength so weak?

If he wasn't, then who could he be? Angor would not believe it if someone told him he was not Sunders. There was too much evidence to prove his identity. But if he was Sunders, would he attack Angor like this? Angor could not say for sure. He did not spend much time with his teacher, so he did not know his real purpose.

Still, Angor believed that the younger Sunders was some kind of projection in the Nightmare Realm. "Projected reality" might not just be a simple projection of buildings, but it might also be a projection of people. Maybe Angor's projection was somewhere else! Angor pondered.

If the younger Sunders was not the real Sunders, he had to find the center of the maze as soon as possible. He still needed Sunders to teach him how to return to reality.

"I just hope he's not the real Sunders." Otherwise, he would be trapped in this Nightmare Realm forever.

With this hope in mind, Angor flew toward the hall he came from yesterday.

It was a peaceful journey. Angor heard some rustling noises from time to time, but he did not see any monsters. When he was about two corners away from the hall where the blue giant was, Angor slowed down.

He did not know if the young Sunders was still alive, or what happened to the blue giant. Both were unknown. Angor could not deal with either of them. He could only hope that he did not run into them. Compared to the blue giant, Angor did not want to run into the young Sunders even more. The blue giant's body was not suitable for running. Angor's biggest advantage was his flexible movements. Sunders could fly just like him. Even if he was not as agile as Angor, he was still more of a threat compared to the blue giant.

Angor knew that most creatures rarely looked up, so he flew to the ceiling and slowly moved toward the hall while sticking close to the ceiling.

After passing the first corner, he did not see anything unusual. There were only some traces left by yesterday's fight.

The hall was the second corner. Angor moved even slower. He held his breath as he approached the hall. Then, he stuck half of his head out and peeked inside.

He quickly noticed something different about it.

The decorations in the hall were messy. The blue giant was nowhere to be seen, and there were lots of blood stains on the luxurious carpet.

Angor took a closer look and saw the entire hall. The blue giant was not there, nor the younger Sunders.

"What happened? Did they leave after fighting for a while? " Angor thought about it. The blue giant was huge, but the wooden door on the side of the hall was small. The blue giant should not be able to get through. Angor did not see any sign of the blue giant coming toward him. Did the blue giant just disappear into thin air?

Angor looked at the wooden door on the side of the hall. It was closed yesterday, but now it was open. Someone must have left through there.

Angor guessed that it was the younger Sunders who left.

Did Sunders defeat the blue giant and pass the test? Angor did not know if he was right, but he knew he was lucky.

Without the blue giant and young Sunders, Angor's safety was greatly improved! He let out a sigh of relief and flew into the hall with a bit of hope in his heart.
