After a great battle, the hall was much more damaged.

??

Broken stones, blood, and rags could be seen everywhere, which proved how fierce the battle was. Even now, Angor could still feel his heart trembling.

There were bloodstains of two colors on the ground. One was blue, and the other was bright red. The blue blood should belong to the blue giant, while the red blood, if there was no one else, was 99% likely to belong to young Sunders.

The blue bloodstain stopped at a pile of rubble. Angor assumed that the blue giant died here. As for why the body disappeared, either young Sunders took it away, or something else happened.

The red bloodstain extended all the way to the wooden door. Young Sunders must have left this place while being injured.

The wooden door was the only exit in the hall. It was also the only way Angor found after searching for a long time. He had to leave this place as well. Before leaving, Angor glanced at the bookshelves nearby.

As a book lover, Angor would not let go of these books. Besides, he was also curious about what the books in the Nightmare Realm would record.

Angor remembered when he was testing his talent in Padt Manor, he accidentally entered the Nightmare Realm and saw Mister Bunny reading a book. While hiding behind Mister Bunny, Angor peeked at the book and found it to be a fairy tale with hypnotic effects. Without realizing it, Angor became the heroine of a fairy tale, controlled by Mister Bunny. Angor managed to escape in the end, but the danger he faced was not something that could be covered in a few words.

Angor was very curious about the books on the shelves in the hall because of the book's miraculous nature.

Angor walked to the bookshelf and saw that the books on it were all messed up after the battle. Many books were scattered all over the floor.

There were red fingerprints left on the sides of some books. Angor assumed that young Sunders read these books before leaving.

But Angor was surprised to see that only some of the books had blood fingerprints, which meant young Sunders did not read all of them before leaving.

What did this mean? Did young Sunders lose patience after reading one or two books because he thought the books here were worthless? With this in mind, he picked up a book that young Sunders was reading. It was a book with a blank cover. Angor opened it and froze.

The book was about a basic alchemy method, and a very common one at that. He saw it in Sunders' library before and even recorded it.

He checked the hologram tablet and compared the alchemy method he recorded. Sure enough, the text was exactly the same.

He picked up a few more books, some of which were read by young Sunders, and some he did not. They were all simple wizardry knowledge, and many of them were the same as Sunders' books.

No wonder young Sunders didn't care about it and left after reading a few books.

Angor did not refuse any of them. Some of them overlapped with Sunders' collection, but there were also some books that Sunders did not collect because they were too basic. It took him half an hour to record all the books on the bookshelf that he did not record yet. These books were all about beginner wizardry knowledge, which should not be expensive even if he spent money. However, he should save as much as he could. He only had a small amount of magic crystals from Greya, so he had to save them before he found a job.

When he finished recording, Angor stretched his body. He looked at the blood trail that extended from the wooden door and sighed. Then, he began his adventure again.

Behind the wooden door was an unchanging maze of alleyways. Occasionally, he saw ditches along the edges of the alleyways. These were the city's sewers, after all. But Angor was curious. Why did the ancient wizard turn the sewers into a maze?

Following young Sunders' blood trail, Angor reached the first fork after leaving the hall.

There were three forks that led to different directions. Two of them had blood in them, while the other one did not. Angor crouched in front of the fork and observed the blood flow. There were two lines of blood on the right fork. Young Sunders must have chosen the right fork. But for some reason, he backed out again, and now there were two more lines of blood.

There was only one row of blood on the middle fork, which meant young Sunders went to the middle fork after leaving the right fork. Judging from the color of the blood, young Sunders must have left a long time ago. It had been a long time, but young Sunders did not return.

Either there was a monster ahead that killed him, or the fork in the middle was the right choice.

Angor had to make a choice. Of course, he eliminated the right fork and chose between the middle one, which young Sunders chose, and the left one, which did not have any blood.

The left fork was unknown because no one had explored it before. The unknown was Schrodinger's cat. No one knew if it was good or bad. The middle fork, young Sunders did not return. It might be the right path, or it might lead to a dangerous nest. No matter which path he chose, there would be some degree of danger. Angor stood in front of the fork for a while and finally chose the middle one.

Angor didn't mean anything by choosing this path. He simply felt that young Sunders was much stronger than a mortal, even if he wasn't as strong as the middle-aged Sunders. It might not be the right path, but it was better to sit back and enjoy the fruits of someone else's work.

With this in mind, he simply chose the path of young Sunders whenever he had to choose a path.

After walking for an unknown amount of time and choosing multiple forks, Angor was wondering if he should change his path. Suddenly, he saw the image of a single-eyed smoke ghost on the wall of one of the tunnels.

Angor did not feel scared. Instead, he was surprised.

The monster in the image was a Witch's Eye! Before entering the Nightmare Realm, Sunders mentioned that the Witch's Eye lived in the central area of the sewer maze. In other words, if he saw a Witch's Eye, he would not be far from the exit.

However, Sunders also added, "The Witch's Eye is cruel and cunning, and they live in groups. With your strength, you'll be reduced to a pile of bones in one go."

Sunders was only joking when he said that. He did not think Angor would face a Witch's Eye alone. Even if Angor was sent to the sewer maze, he would not be able to reach the central area.

To Sunders' surprise, not only did Angor make it to the central area, but he also only fought one battle from beginning to end. That time, it wasn't a battle with a demonic creature, but a battle with a younger version of himself.

Angor did not run into any monsters along the way, so he assumed young Sunders was clearing the path for him. When he saw another fork in the path, Angor did not hesitate to choose the path young Sunders took. He was already in the central area. With young Sunders clearing the path, he might be able to reach the exit.

But before he could do that, he heard a scream coming from a corner not far away.

Angor looked forward and saw young Sunders.

Young Sunders was fighting against dozens of floating shadows. Suddenly, one of the shadows pierced through young Sunders' chest. Young Sunders screamed in disbelief, spat out a mixture of blood and organs, and lost consciousness on the ground.

Angor was about to turn around and leave. However, as soon as he moved, the shadows let out shrill screeches and scattered away as if they were scared out of their wits.

When the shadows disappeared, Angor saw a large eye in the center of them. It was a Witch's Eye!
