Saliva?!
Angor tasted something nice in his mouth. He thought about how he kept drinking the water droplets that fell on his lips in his dream. Actually, it was nice and refreshing.
But no matter how nice it was, it was still saliva!
Angor felt nauseous all of a sudden. He sat up and vomited to the side. Strangely enough, he did not vomit anything despite the nausea.
Angor, who had already sat up, suddenly remembered what happened before he fainted. That feeling of near death was terrible. What the hell was with that wall?! Luckily, the vines pulled him away in the nick of time. Had it been one second later, he would have died here. Angor remembered seeing the flower in the air before he fainted.
So, he was saved by the flower?
If that was the case, wasn't it inappropriate for him to vomit in front of the flower? If he remembered correctly, the water droplets only came when he shouted "I'm so thirsty" in his dream.
Someone else — oh, the other "flower" tried to save him, but he vomited in front of the "flower". That was so rude.
With that in mind, he suppressed the discomfort in his stomach and thanked the flower in the sky.
Angor did not receive any response, but he sensed that the jawflower — let's call it "Jawflower" for now. It seemed to be happy that he woke up.
Angor sensed some rustling around him. He turned around and saw a group of "mouth flowers" that came out of nowhere and surrounded him.
The mouth flowers kept hopping around him. Angor could see their roots poking out of the ground every time they hopped around. Those roots were the green vines that took him away from the wall.
Angor mumbled to himself, "The mouth flower saved him." He suddenly remembered something. When he was flying toward the wall, he was "ambushed" many times by the jawflowers. Angor did not notice it at the time. Now that he thought about it, maybe the jawflowers were warning him to stay away from the wall?
But he was still confused. What was going on with the wall?
The mouth flowers did not have their own thoughts, but Angor could sense their emotions. They seemed to be celebrating something.
Are you celebrating that I'm awake?
Or is it to celebrate that I'm awake so that they can stew me?
He believed the former was more likely. The jawflower seemed to be friendly toward him. At least, he believed it would be the best chance for the flower to harm him while he was unconscious.
Angor looked at the strange but cheerful jawflowers and felt that they were quite cute. He tentatively reached out his hand and touched the petals of a flower.
Angor carefully probed. He was actually quite nervous.
Angor found that the jawflower did not mind his touch at all. It even snuggled in his hand like a baby bird. The petals tickled his palm.
While caressing the flower's petals, he was thinking about something else. Was the flower a monster?
Didn't Sunders say that monsters in the Nightmare Realm would attack outsiders? Why hadn't he been attacked by monsters since he entered the Nightmare Realm? Of course, the wall was an exception. Angor still did not know if the wall was a monster or not.
Angor happily touched the flowers around him. He did not notice that the one with the most colorful petals suddenly released a displeased emotion.
The Mouth Flowers around Angor all disappeared as soon as he sensed his displeasure. They would either scamper off into the distance or drill into the ground and disappear without a trace.
Angor also sensed the emotion of the flower with the starry petals.
Why was it unhappy? Don't tell me you want to kill me? Angor looked at the flower in the air and felt a little nervous.
He still did not know why the flowers saved him or why they were being nice to him. Angor did not think he was special. He did not think he was a main character in a novel who attracted beauties, treasures, or mythical beasts. Angor knew his place, which was why he was so nervous.
Since it was able to make the other jawflowers leave because of its annoyance, this black jawflower was probably the boss of all the other jawflowers.
Angor looked at the unhappy flower in the air and did not know how to deal with it. He reached out a hand to comfort it.
When Angor touched the flower's petals, the mouth on the flower's stamen immediately grinned. The displeased emotion was gone, and the flower looked much brighter now.
Angor looked at the Jawflower King, who was acting like a spoiled child in Angor's palm just like the other jawflowers. Is this guy doing that because he's jealous?
Angor believed he was right.
Looking at the joyful flowers, Angor was still a bit cautious, but he was much less worried now.
"Who are you?" Angor asked in a low voice.
The king of the jawflowers seemed to be more intelligent than the others. It actually answered Agor's question.
"I'm a flower." It was very happy.
"Why did you save me?" Angor asked.
"Don't die." Angor was a little nervous.
Did you save me because you don't want me to die? The flower's intelligence was limited. It did not seem to understand Angor's question. Its replies were always fragmented.
Angor thought it was too indirect, so he decided to go straight to the point.
"Do you like me?" Angor felt his cheeks getting hot. Wasn't that too narcissistic?
However, the flower did not understand human thought. It waved its petals without any hesitation.
"Yes." It was very happy.
Angor relaxed a little when he got the answer. It seemed the jawflowers didn't mean him any harm.
"Why do you like me?" Angor shamelessly asked again.
This time, the flower took a long time to answer.
"You have the aura of a king." There was a hint of respect and yearning in its emotion.
The aura of a king? Do I really have the potential to become a dragon? Angor looked at the flower in surprise and wondered if it had something to do with his talent. Maybe his talent was the kind that could destroy everything in the world?
But the next moment, Angor thought he was hallucinating.
The flower took the initiative to answer again.
"You have the aura of a queen! I like it! "
Angor was petrified by the answer. W-w-w-w-queen? What the hell?
Angor asked again, "Who's the queen?"
The flower swayed its petals while drool dripped down from its mouth, filling the ground with a strange fragrance.
"The queen is the king." There was respect in its emotion.
"What's the queen's name?" Angor wanted to know why he had the aura of a queen.
"The queen is the king?" There was respect and confusion in its emotion.
Angor asked a few more questions, but the jawflower only gave vague answers. The main reason was that the jawflower was not as intelligent as a three-year-old child. Angor couldn't ask for more from it.
Angor did not give up. "Where's the queen?"
"In the king's place." There was respect in its emotion.
Angor had no other choice but to give up. He did not know how long he had been sleeping.
He did not have time to waste with the flower. God only knew how long he had been sleeping. The flower did not even have the concept of time. How could it answer?
The most important thing now was to find Professor Sunders, or he would not even know how to return to the wizarding world.
Angor suddenly remembered that Sunders gave him half a Twisting Protozoa before entering the Nightmare Realm. That seemed to be his ticket to leave the Nightmare Realm. Angor quickly searched his pockets. He did not lose it. He found the Twisting Protozoa in his inner bag.
