Saliva?!

Angor smelled something sweet in his mouth. He remembered the water droplets that dripped onto his lips in his dream … It was nice and refreshing.

However, no matter how fragrant it was, it was still saliva!

Angor suddenly felt nauseous. He sat up and vomited violently. But the strange thing was, although the nausea was very strong, he didn't throw up anything.

Angor, who was already sitting up, suddenly remembered what happened before he passed out. The feeling of dying was terrible. What was with that wall?! He was lucky that the vines pulled him away in time. One second later, he would have died here. Angor remembered seeing a flower in the air before he passed out.

So, was he saved by this flower?

If that was the case, then wouldn't it be inappropriate for him to vomit in front of this flower? If Angor remembered correctly, he only saw water droplets when he yelled "thirsty" in his dream.

Someone else … Oh, another "flower" was trying to save him. How rude of him to vomit in front of another "flower".

With that in mind, Angor endured the nausea and thanked the flower in the air.

He did not receive any response. However, he sensed that the flower in the air — let's call it "Jawflower" for now, Angor thought — seemed to be very happy that he woke up.

Angor sensed some rustling noises beside him. He turned around and saw a group of "Jawflowers" that came out of nowhere and surrounded him.

The mouth flowers kept jumping around Angor. Every time they did so, Angor could see their roots breaking out of the ground. The roots were the same green vines that brought him away from the wall.

So it was the flower that saved him. Angor muttered to himself. He suddenly remembered something. When he was flying toward the wall, he was "ambushed" by the flowers many times. Angor did not realize it back then. Now that he thought about it, maybe the flowers were warning him to stay away from the wall?

Still, Angor was confused. What was with the wall?

The flowers did not have thoughts of their own, but Angor could feel their emotions. They seemed to be celebrating something.

Are they celebrating that I'm awake?

Or are they celebrating the fact that I'm awake so that they can stew me into meat?

Angor believed the former was more likely. The flowers seemed to be friendly to him. At least, Angor believed that it would be the perfect opportunity for the flowers to do something bad to him while he was asleep.

Angor looked at the strange-looking yet cheerful flowers and suddenly felt that they were quite cute. He reached out a hand and touched the petals of one of them.

He carefully probed. In fact, he was actually quite nervous about it.

Angor was glad to see that the mouth flower did not mind his touch at all. It even acted like a spoiled bird in his hand. The petals tickled his palm.

As he touched the flower's petals, he wondered if the mouth flower counted as a monster.

Didn't Sunders say that all monsters in the Nightmare Realm would attack outsiders? Why hadn't he been attacked since he entered the Nightmare Realm? Of course, the wall was an exception. Angor did not know if the wall was a monster or not?

While he was happily touching the mouth flowers around him, he did not notice that the mouth flower with the brightest petals in the air suddenly showed an unhappy expression.

As the displeasure spread out, all the mouth flowers around Angor were swept away. They either hopped away into the distance or burrowed into the ground and disappeared without a trace.

Angor also sensed the emotion of the flower in the starry petals.

Why was it unhappy? Could it be that he wanted to kill him? Angor looked at the flower in the air and felt a little uneasy.

He still did not know why the flowers saved him or why they were kind to him. Angor did not think that he was special. He did not think that he was a lucky main character in novels who would get all kinds of beautiful women, treasures, and mythical creatures. He knew his place. That was why he felt uneasy.

Angor assumed this black mouth flower was the boss of all the other flowers here, since it could make all the other mouth flowers run away because of its annoyance.

He looked at the unhappy flower in the air and did not know what to do. Out of instinct, he reached out a hand to comfort it.

As soon as Angor touched the flower's petals, the mouth on the flower's stamen immediately broke into a big smile. The unhappiness was gone, and the flower became much more cheerful.

Angor looked at the Jawflower King who was acting like a spoiled child in Angor's hand just like the other jawflowers. He wondered if the thing was trying to get rid of Angor's anger because of jealousy.

Angor believed that he was right.

Looking at the jubilant flowers, Angor was still cautious, but at least he wasn't.

"Who are you?" Angor asked in a low voice.

The king of the mouth flower seemed to be smarter than the others. It actually answered Angor's question.

"I'm a flower." It was very happy.

"Why did you save me?" Angor asked.

"Don't die." It was a little nervous.

You saved me because you don't want me to die? The mouth flower's intelligence was limited. It did not seem to understand what Angor was trying to ask. Its answers were always in bits and pieces, and Angor could not find any clues.

Angor thought that the question might be too indirect, so he decided to go straight to the point.

"Do you like me?" Angor felt his cheeks getting hot. Wouldn't it be too narcissistic to ask that?

However, the mouth flower did not understand human thoughts. It waved its petals without hesitation.

"Yes." It was very happy.

Angor felt a little relieved after hearing the firm answer. It seemed the mouth flowers meant him no harm.

"Why do you like me?" Angor asked again with his cheeks burning.

The mouth flower took a long time to answer this time.

"You have the aura of a king." It was a little respectful, but also a little yearning.

The aura of a king? Do I really have the potential to become a proud dragon? Angor stared at the mouth flower in surprise. He wondered if it had something to do with his talent. Maybe his talent was the kind that could destroy everything in his path?

But the next moment, Angor felt that he was hallucinating.

The Mouth Flower took the initiative to answer again.

"The aura of a queen! I like it so much! "

Angor was petrified by the answer. The aura of a queen? What the hell?

"Who's the queen?" Angor asked again.

The mouth flower waved its petals. Saliva dripped from its mouth, filling the ground with a strange aroma.

"The queen is a king." It was a little respectful.

"What's the queen's name?" Angor wanted to know. Where did the aura of a queen come from?

"The queen is a king?" It was both respectful and confused.

Angor asked several more questions, but the mouth flower's answers were all vague. Angor could not ask for more, mainly because its intelligence was too low. It was about the intelligence of a three-year-old child.

In the end, Angor did not give up. "Where is the queen?"

"In the king's place." It was a little respectful.

Angor had no idea what to do with this conversation. He had to give up.

He did not have time to waste on the mouth flower. God knew how long he had been sleeping. The mouth flower did not even know the concept of time. How could it answer him?

The most important thing now was to find Sunders. Otherwise, he would not even know how to return to the wizarding world.

Angor suddenly remembered that Sunders gave him half of a Twisting Protozoa before entering the Nightmare Realm. It seemed to be a ticket to leave the Nightmare Realm. Angor quickly searched his body and did not lose it. He found the body of the Twisting Protozoa in his inner pouch.

He put away the Twisting Protozoa and decided to continue his journey.
