Chapter 96

Report

About ten minutes later, Angor found himself at a fork in the road.

He looked at the three paths that led to different directions and sighed. Which one should he choose? What would happen next? Would there be monsters? Angor had no idea. He was completely blind right now.

It didn't matter to him anyway. He picked one at random, left a mark on it, and kept going.

Another ten minutes later, Angor saw another fork in the road. This time, there were four paths. Just like before, Angor left a mark on the path and chose one at random.

About an hour later, Angor found himself at a dead end. He had to go back and choose another path. After going back and forth for a while, Angor finally found a path that seemed to be the right one.

However, Angor was puzzled by the fact that nothing strange happened along the way. There were no monsters either. According to Sunders, the sewer maze shouldn't be so peaceful. He could only think of it as luck. Besides, he didn't run into any monsters, which saved him a lot of trouble.

Little did he know that it wasn't that there weren't any monsters along the way. It was just that he had drunk the Jawflower's milk, and his body had been tainted with the Jawflower's scent. The scent of the Jawflower was terrifying and oppressive to the monsters living in the underground maze. Many low-level monsters would run away when they sensed Angor's scent. That was why Angor was not stopped by any monsters.

However, the scent was only effective against low-level monsters. The more powerful ones would not run away just because of the mouth flower's scent.

After flying for about three hours, Angor finally saw his first monster.

Angor stopped at a corner and peeked at the hall in front of him.

Not all paths in the sewer maze were tunnels. There were many other environments, such as halls, gardens, and sandy areas. Angor found himself in a large underground hall.

The hall was about twelve or thirteen meters tall and had a radius of thirty meters. It was beautifully decorated. The floor of the hall was covered with a large carpet with exotic patterns. On the right side of the hall, Angor saw a fireplace, tables, chairs, and bookshelves.

But none of that mattered. Angor's attention was fully focused on the giant figure in the center of the hall.

It was a blue giant that looked fat and sturdy. He was about three or four meters tall and had a leather skirt around his waist. He wore a horned helmet on his head and had three eyes. The eye in the middle was vertical and there was one eye on each side of his cheeks. He had sharp teeth in his mouth and looked particularly terrifying.

The blue giant was fighting against a small figure. Angor couldn't see who it was because he was dozens of meters away. He could only see a blurry shadow from afar. It seemed to be a human or a humanoid creature.

The only way out was through the hall and a small door near the furnace. But now that there were demons fighting inside, he had no choice but to hide far away.

The battle in the hall became more and more intense. The blue giant's physique was terrifying, but its reaction speed and movement speed were not fast. He was toyed around by the small figure, and from time to time, he would be cut by the other party's weapon.

However, the blue giant was strong. Even from dozens of meters away, Angor could feel the ground trembling with each jump.

After being toyed around for a while, the blue giant suddenly howled at the sky, picked up a large rock, and threw it at the small figure. The stone was thrown at the entrance of the hall, so Angor was far away from it. However, the short man was hit by the flying stones. He staggered a few times and was sent flying into a corner not far from Angor.

Angor finally saw the small figure's face. Compared to the green giant, the man was indeed small. However, he was also taller than Angor. It was a young man who was covered in blood. Blood was still spitting out from his mouth, which meant he was badly injured.

More than half of his face was covered in blood, but Angor still felt a sense of familiarity from his facial features. Gray-green short hair, a handsome nose, and a lean body. Angor felt that he had seen this person somewhere before.

Angor was puzzled by the fact that the man didn't look like a monster. Instead, he looked more like a human.

Angor was sneaking glances at the man, but he didn't conceal his aura. The terrifying aura of the mouth flower instantly attracted the man's attention.

"Who's there?" A cold voice reached Angor's ears.

I'm discovered? Angor was startled when he saw the man running toward him with a weapon in hand. Without thinking, Angor turned around and flew into the sky.

Angor felt a gust of wind behind him. He looked back and saw the man was also flying in the air. The man was swinging a short staff at Angor.

"Shit!" Angor stomped his foot on the ground and quickly changed direction, dodging the attack by a hair's breadth.

"Die, monster!" The man with short grayish-green hair swung at Angor again.

"I'm not a monster! Don't kill me! "Angor heard the man's words and yelled.

However, the man didn't seem to hear him. He didn't slow down at all. Instead, he sped up. Angor had to dodge again. Luckily, Angor was already familiar with moving in the air after flying for so long. He was much more agile than the man.

"Monster, don't even think about running away. I'll cut you down!" The cold voice reached Angor's ears again.

While dodging, Angor thought to himself, What a familiar voice. But he couldn't remember where he heard it before.

The blue giant arrived as well. It was puzzled to see another man in the air, and the human it wanted to kill was fighting with him.

The blue giant picked up the giant stone pillar in its hand and was about to throw it at them. At this moment, it suddenly smelled a faint fragrance coming from the body of another small person. As soon as the fragrance entered his nose, the blue giant's expression changed drastically. Even the eyes on his cheeks suddenly widened.

The blue giant looked at Angor in fear. It glanced at the short man it wanted to kill and stopped attacking. Instead, it slowly retreated back into the hall.

Angor was hoping the blue giant would fight with the man so that he could escape. But the blue giant actually gave up?!

"Stop! I told you, I'm a human! A human! Not a monster! "Angor yelled.

However, the man opposite him did not seem to hear his voice and continued to attack him. "Deaf …" Angor muttered under his breath and kept running.

Angor was flying faster than his opponent, but he had to change his direction to dodge the attacks, which brought them closer and closer to each other.

"You're fighting that blue giant. Why did you change your target? Aren't you going to get your revenge? "Angor tried to distract the man while running.

But it didn't work. The man didn't even blink his eyes.

Maybe he was really deaf? Angor thought to himself.

Angor turned a corner and looked at the only direction he could go. He suddenly felt a chill in his heart. That was a wall, a dead end for him!

Behind him was a madman and a deaf man, and in front of him was a dead end. Angor's face turned pale. Was he going to die here? He didn't die at the hands of a monster, but at the hands of a madman?
