Chapter 369

Report

Elwyn gasped for breath, quickly passing through the group of fallen centaurs that were crawling on the ground. Like Ugart, the fallen centaurs were all motionless.

They laid there quietly, their expressions were still the same as before. Some were surprised, some were panicking, some were delighted, some were cowering, and so on.

Apart from Elwyn and the evil god, the entire world seemed to have stopped.

Elwyn's Guardian Angel continuously revolved around his body, a white energy barrier protecting him from the evil god's whispers and the spreading negative emotions.

In the sky, the evil god's gigantic spherical body had already expanded beyond the imagination of ordinary people. It was like the moon that had suddenly landed on the surface of the earth.

On its body, the incessantly swaying tentacles covered the sky.

At the foot of the centaur statue in the center of the temple, Elwyn raised his head. Apart from the evil god's body that was full of scars and was continuously enlarging, he could not see anything else.

Everything in front of him was dark, but Elwyn's target was extremely clear.

He had just sensed that all the magic energy from the sorcerer's stone had gathered at the head of the centaur statue. The evil god's wooden statue was hidden nearby.

As if specially prepared for him, a stone staircase stood there quietly, extending from the foot of the statue straight up, all the way to the highest point of the clouds.

Following the stone staircase, Elwyn raised his head to take a look, feeling a wave of dizziness.

"So be it if I die." He made up his mind, overcoming the fear in his heart, and ran towards the stone staircase.

In the next second, a sudden change occurred.

The bodies of the centaurs that were motionless beside him suddenly changed. Their skin continuously rolled, bulged up, or sunk down, their flesh was forcibly torn apart.

Under the evil god's control, the centaurs all turned into terrifying monsters.

Some parts of their bodies still retained the characteristics of the centaurs, but other parts started to become horrifying and strange. Their eyes bulged outwards, and their bones started to deform.

Their original faces had now turned into a gigantic mouth, like an opened clam. The edges were filled with fangs, while the inside was filled with tiny teeth.

In the middle of the gigantic mouth, was an incomparably large red tongue.

They wriggled there disgustingly, licking the skin on the inside of their mouths.

The Fallen Horse monsters quickly rushed towards Elwyn. Elwyn used all his might to run forward, panting heavily. The monsters behind him were much faster than him.

This wasn't the way to go on. He wasn't Ugart and couldn't fight these monsters head-on. He bit his lips, stopped, and quickly turned around.

Elwyn wiped the sweat off his forehead and waved the wand in his hand.

Golden flames spurted out from the tip of his wand. This was the Inferno Spell.

Elwyn had used this evil spell once in Aragok's lair. At that time, it had almost burned the entire cave, including the gushing spring water.

Just like last time, all the flames seemed to have a life of their own, revolving and roaring as they charged towards the nearest Centaur.

The evil flame devoured everything it touched. It confronted the Evil God in the sky and the evil creatures it had created. Both sides seemed to be competing to see who was more evil.

After casting the Inferno Spell, Elwyn didn't even look, and ran straight towards the stone stairs beside the statue.

He used all his strength to sprint upwards, passing through the layers of stairs.

Below him, the flames started to change shape, turning into a large group of beasts made of fire: Fire Snakes, Chimera Beasts and Fire Dragons. They soared up, fell down, and soared up again.

The entire platform at the top of the temple had become a sea of flames.

Countless Fallen Horse Monsters were toyed with by the flames. They dodged in all directions, seemingly able to escape, but very quickly they were engulfed by the flames from hell, turning into ashes that scattered with the wind.

The flames wreaked havoc, and the fire beasts thrashed about in the flames. Their claws, antennae and tails flailed about, even the obsidian ground was roasted red.

There was an unpleasant burnt smell, and smoke rose into the air.

Strangely, the ground and walls that were covered by the Evil God's antennae did not suffer any damage. The flames stopped there, and did not harm the Evil God at all.

"Foolish human sorcerer, you tried to use your weak magic to challenge my power, but you don't know that you are getting closer and closer to death." The Evil God said slowly.

The spherical body slowly rolled about, its huge eyes turned to the bottom, using a terrifying cold gaze to stare at Elwyn.

"Have you ever experienced the feeling of death?" It asked quietly. "But this is not the most terrifying thing, in the long and strange passage of time, death has its end."

Elwyn ignored it, he panted heavily, the stairs flashed past in front of him.

He did not know where he was, the stone stairs seemed to have no end.

He tried his best not to look or think about the scene below the statue, to prevent himself from feeling dizzy. On the inside of his body was the gigantic and crude centaur statue.

On the outside, was the Evil God's gigantic body that was becoming clearer and clearer.

Countless flesh and blood were gathered and devoured by it, but it was still not satisfied, the swaying tentacles were still illusions, and its meaty body was covered with wounds.

Every wound was so deep that one could not see the bottom, green mucus flowed out from them.

It kept on saying crazy words to Elwyn, disturbing his mind, but because it did not form tentacles, it did not have any substantial attack power.

Elwyn climbed faster and faster, sweat poured down like rain, and liquid even started to flow out from his eyes.

He felt that he should have collapsed from exhaustion, but his legs were still climbing up.

This was a never-ending battle, Elwyn's stamina was completely exhausted, he just wanted to lie on the ground and rest, but under the oppression of the Evil God, he was still squeezing himself dry.

Maybe this was what Gryffindor wanted, to test Elwyn's limits.

The instinctive fear towards the heights, the fear towards the Evil God, had already been thrown to the back of Elwyn's mind.

He had nothing to fear now, there was only one thought in his mind, and that was to climb up.

He wanted to climb to the top, destroy the statue of the Evil God, and stop its descent.

He did not know how much time had passed, the dusky sky became darker, and gradually became completely dark, the sun disappeared, and the stars unknowingly filled the night sky.

Finally, Elwyn climbed to the top of the statue.

He passed through the thick whirlpool-like clouds, the Evil God's gigantic body had already disappeared, and he was now standing on top of the clouds.

The scene in front of him became incomparably vast, and the bright moonlight shone on his body.

Elwyn had never seen such a blue night sky before, this place was like a fairyland, there was nothing else around him, and countless clouds surged under his feet.
