Hearing Ugart's words of thanks, Elwyn was still in a daze.

What use was the promise of an ancient centaur from eight years ago, this was just an illusion created by Gryffindor. In the real world, Elwyn and Ugart did not know each other at all, nor had they met before. Furthermore, this centaur had already turned into a specter without a body.

Elwyn's consciousness was still immersed in the yellow fog. That feeling, he could confirm that he had seen a similar description in an ancient magic book.

He seemed to know what these monsters were, but he could not remember.

On the ground, the smashed corpses of the monsters were still emitting a disgusting buzzing sound.

Large amounts of yellow maggots burst out from the remains of their corpses, scattering all over the ground. They wriggled forward with all their might, slowly dragging the smashed flesh back to its original position.

They fought over the smashed flesh, not caring if it was their original body.

Elwyn had a misconception, that these monsters were originally made up of countless of these yellow maggots, and the horrifying appearance he saw just now was just a facade.

The monster's buzzing sound continued, as though it was issuing orders to the maggots.

The nauseating feeling once again assaulted him, interrupting Elwyn's train of thought.

He saw many maggots crawling towards him and Ugart, dragging behind them a glistening mucus. They hastily retreated backwards to dodge.

"They are not dead yet." Ugart loudly reminded, but did not know what to do.

This was completely out of the centaur's understanding, he would rather fight against the ferocious fire dragon than face these strange and disgusting maggots.

Elwyn closed his eyes, concentrating on sensing the indistinct magic in the air. He then discovered, the source of everything was in the monster's head that was filled with holes.

A thought flashed in his mind, and he hurriedly said. "Attack their heads, there should be a bright pink core inside, that is their weak point."

Elwyn recalled the statues of these monsters he saw in the temple, those statues that had already turned into stone could more directly display the monster's body structure.

Inside the green hollow head was a pink, irregular, oval core.

He chanted a spell and waved his wand.

A silvery-white light flashed past like a sharp arrow and hit a monster's head that was full of holes.

Its body stiffened, and it died just like that, no longer making buzzing sounds.

On the ground, many yellow worms that were dragging pieces of flesh died as well.

Seeing this, Ugart hurriedly walked over and stabbed the spear in his hand into the heads of the remaining two monsters, ending their evil lives.

In the dim tunnel, neither of them spoke a word.

This was truly a strange and extremely thrilling battle. Looking at the ground covered in minced meat, they even desperately held their breaths.

Ugart motioned for Elwyn to climb onto his back, and he sped forward. When the surroundings returned to normal and the smell of blood disappeared, he slowly slowed down.

"Disgusting Evil God creations!" Ugart said angrily. "They were researching and creating these things before, but I never thought they would actually succeed!"

"How did the Fallen Centaurs do it?" Elwyn asked.

"Flesh and blood, large amounts of flesh!" Ugart said with disgust. "The Evil God told them how to make it. They captured large amounts of creatures in the forest and cruelly killed them, mixing the flesh and blood together. Through a ritual, they summoned those monsters."

The top of the Moon Temple could absorb the power of the stars and convert it into pure magic. This magic could help the Fallen Centaurs complete this evil magic.

Elwyn did not know the principles of the ritual, but it was definitely very evil.

In the development of modern magic, even the most evil black magic would not involve the flesh and blood of a large number of creatures. This sounded a bit like the mysterious witchcraft that spread in the African region or the magic that the ancient warlocks used to summon demons.

In the book Secrets of Black Magic, there was such a magic recorded. Through a special ritual, a corpse could be sacrificed to summon a low-level demon.

However, the records of this magic were not very detailed. Elwyn studied it for a long time without any clues, and could not figure out where the demon came from.

There was no progress in the theoretical research, and he could not really use a corpse to summon a demon, so the research on this magic ended up with nothing.

"Two years ago, I found the ruins of the Evil God in the depths of the swamp. It was an ancient temple left behind by humans, and it was completely deserted." Ugart said with self-reproach. "I ignored the warnings given by the elders and the planets, and in order to prove my foolish bravery, I stubbornly barged in."

Elwyn did not speak, and quietly listened to Ugart recollect his story.

"The abandoned ruins were very large, very quiet, and full of plants that I had never seen before." Ugart said, "The upper half of it had been buried by the mud in the swamp. After passing through a blocked passage, I came to a very wide circular hall at the bottom. The hall was about the size of the entire Moon Temple."

According to Ugart's description, Elwyn's mind sketched out such a large classical temple, just like the astonishing buildings of ancient Greece and Egypt.

This was a miracle left behind by the ancient Warlocks, and there were countless mysterious spells hidden inside, silently proving that the glorious era had passed.

"What was in that hall?" Elwyn asked.

"There's nothing. The white marble walls are engraved with strange magic symbols and human words that I can't understand. The floor is full of complicated patterns and magic patterns, just like the ones on the top of the Moon Temple. Maybe they can be used to absorb the power of the stars." Ugart continued, and there was a clear trace of pain in his voice. "That was what I thought at the time. I galloped through the empty ruins, and after running for about twenty minutes, I reached the center, and then I saw …"

Elwyn concentrated, and he was not surprised by Ugart's reaction.

Centaurs were not a race that was good at magic, and unless it was displayed, he would definitely not discover the magic hidden in the ruins.

He was considering whether he should go to the ruins in the depths of the swamp after returning to the real world, and see what the ancient Warlocks had left there.

Perhaps, he could also find out the identity of the Evil God.
