While Eleena was helping the tortoise colossus defend, the Saintess-in-training was still human, and she certainly wouldn't be a match for the Mecha Giant in a head-on fight.
After all, the ancient Mecha Giants were created to destroy Rule weapons such as the Elven SIN in the first place!
Leaving aside the fact that the tortoise colossus had more or less lost some durability, Eleena herself was almost at her limit (meaning that she couldn't drink cola and wanted to go to the toilet).
"The countdown is almost over! Everyone, hold on until the end! "
Edward, who still had a little bit of HP left was harrassing the Mecha Giant on his Blackfire Dragon in an attempt to draw its aggro, but to little effect.
Come to think of it, the Mecha Giant wouldn't even take Marni's Taunt, preferring to ignore the lively Marni to attack the tortoise colossus. It certainly wouldn't be distracted by Edward's clumsy Taunt.
Of course, it could also be because the Mecha Giant had already killed Marni once, which was why Marni's mystical ability to draw aggro was ineffective …
The other Players who had survived until now were doing their best to focus as well, intending to launch a final assault on the enemy and do their best to delay its attack on the tortoise colossus.
And yet, the Players had been too focused on defense and drawing aggro that they had neglected a more important issue.
Even as the Players stared at the Mecha Giant's head and watched out for its mana ray, the Mecha Giant suddenly extended its hands and stuck them heavily into the wall of the crater!
"Oh no, it's trying to climb out!" Edward, who had been watching the situation from a high vantage point, quickly realized that something was wrong and yelled, "Demolition team!"
"There's no demolition team for a long time!" Leah the Warrior Princess, who was buffing the other Players, reminded him loudly. "They're too close to the crater and were all dead half an hour ago!"
"Damn it! Of all times! "
Edward made up his mind after a split second of hesitation, and steered the Blackfire Dragon towards the wall where one of the Mecha Giant's hands had stuck into.
The Blackfire Dragon promptly burst into a blazing red lotus, breaking the wall and tearing the Mecha Giant's hand out, causing it to lose its center of gravity even as it climbed up the wall and appeared to be on the verge of falling.
It was the second attack of the Skyblaze Herald's Level 50 Crimson Eyes Black Dragon Wave. It was much stronger than the Blackfire Dragon's attack, and it would be even more powerful if the Players rode it.
Naturally, the Players could choose not to ride it and just let the Blackfire Dragon blow it up, but that would mean that the Skyblaze Herald Player's mana bar (known as Blaze Bar after class-change) would be melted down. They would not be able to use any skills that cost for a while, and they would be disabled with normal attacks …
"Revive!" Jessica cast the last resurrection spell that she had been casting for a long time on Edward and pulled him up.
"God Resurrect" Edward cast the Resurrect God.
Edward did not even have the time to thank the Ancient Mecha Giant after being revived.
Just as the Ancient Mecha Giant was about to fall back into the cave, a third giant mechanical arm suddenly stretched out from its back and clung to the edge of the cave. While stabilizing its body, it used its two arms to climb out of the cave!
"It wouldn't have been trapped for so long if it had that hand from the start. It might have grown a new limb just now to free itself!"
Princess Leah watched the Mecha Giant warily. "There's no way to stop it. It's too late even if we dig the hole again …" Edward couldn't help feeling helpless against the mountainous Mecha Giant that was approaching them step by step.
"There's no way to stop it, and it's too late to dig a new cave …" Edward could not help feeling helpless against the mountainous mechanical giant that was slowly approaching them.
But just as Edward thought that she had a solution, the girl smiled. "It's time!"
Just as Edward thought that she had a solution, the girl smiled. "It's time!"
After being reminded by her, Edward hurriedly opened the system page and found that the mission was indeed displayed as completed.
But the tortoise colossus didn't seem to have changed at all.
The Mecha Giant looked up, and a crimson beam shot out at the tortoise colossus once more!
Eleena hurriedly raised her meteor hammer to raise a barrier, but something reacted faster than her this time.
The Pyrocrystal Cannons on either side of the tortoise colossus abruptly turned and blasted out in unison.
The two behemoths hence clashed, and after a series of violent explosions, both attacks canceled each other out.
The Mecha Giant slowly advanced, seemingly intent on destroying the tortoise colossus with physical attacks.
Meanwhile, the tortoise colossus's Pyrocrystal Cannons had turned to the back for some reason.
Then, a few cracks appeared over its head, and the shell of the tortoise's head shrunk back layer by layer with its mouth at the center. The last layer opened up like a flower, revealing the pitch-black cannon muzzles within!
For some reason, Edward felt a dull pain in his crotch at the sight, and couldn't help clamping his thighs together …
The Mecha Giant appeared to be moving slowly, but each step it took covered hundreds of meters, covering a distance of several kilometers in a few steps.
All three of its arms had been constructed with brand-new structures. They were terrifying weapons that whirled at high speed like a chainsaw, their blades imbued with searing magical energy!
Normal city walls would be no different from paper in front of the Mecha Giant!
But just as the Mecha Giant's attack was about to reach the tortoise colossus, the cannons on the tortoise colossus's head finally fired.
In that split second, Edward felt as if his eyes were scorched by light, and the world seemed to have lost color and sound, with everything turning into a distorted sight of black and white.
There was no explosion, shockwave, or blast winds.
When Edward's vision returned to normal, the Mecha Giant that the Players couldn't even scratch a single bit of its HP had vanished. All that was left where it had been was a clump of black dust that slowly faded with the wind.
After that, the Pyrocrystal Cannons behind the tortoise colossus started to spew out searing white steam with a hiss, as if they were cooling the main cannons. There were also fragments of Illum crystals inside, and those were bizarre particles that emanated eight-colored radiance …
This also seemed to announce one thing to the players.
The [Elven SIN: Ancient Sins] event has officially come to an end!
