"Sister, are you taking part in the Pet Contest too?"
On the second floor of the assessment shop across the street, two pretty girls were standing by the window.
Cleo looked at the pet shop across the street. Her eyes flashed when she saw the crowd outside. She said, "That's right. I signed up for the Ocean State and the Fate State. You're taking part, too, aren't you?"
"Yes, I signed up for the Ocean State and the Void State."
"Are you signing up in Woffett City? I think the competition here will be very fierce. After all …"
"Sister, I'm not that stupid. My two Class A Vast Sky Thunderous Dragons probably won't even win first place in the same city if I sign up here."
"…"
Cleo smiled bitterly.
That was indeed the case.
In the past, it would've been easy for a Class A Vast Sky Thunderous Dragon to win first place in the city. After all, its opponents were all at the same level.
A Vast Sky Thunderous Dragon's natural advantages and its Class A aptitude could've easily crushed all its peers.
Only a few other pets could've been a match for it!
But at that moment …
Battle pets with Class A aptitudes had suddenly become commonplace.
They were still rare in other places, but they weren't so rare in Woffett City anymore.
The Pixie Pet Shop wasn't just any "mischievous" shop.
It had raised the standards of the battle pets in Woffett City by several levels on its own.
"It's a good thing that we can sign up in another city with our family's privileges, or we would've been buried here," said Lily with mixed feelings.
She seemed to be around eighteen years old and didn't know much about the world, but she was quite smart.
Cleo nodded, a hint of sympathy suddenly appearing in her eyes.
She could use her family's privileges, but the people of Woffett City weren't so lucky. Those who were registered in the city could only sign up here.
Those who were strong enough to compete for first place in the city could only rely on their luck.
Or maybe they could get a training spot in the Pixie Pet Shop.
The number of people waiting outside the Pixie Pet Shop had skyrocketed because of the approaching Pet Contest, and the price of the spots was also revealed. It was said that the first fifty spots were being offered twelve billion!
As for the top twenty spots, they were being sold for twenty billion, but not many people were selling them. After all, those people weren't stupid; they could earn back their money if they trained one more Class A pet.
"I think the Pet Contest this year will be very intense." Lily's eyes flickered. "I don't think my two battle pets will be able to win the first place in the district. I don't know how fierce the competition will be at the international level …"
Cleo had the same feeling. She couldn't help but look forward to it.
In the past, a few Class A pets were already enough to cause a stir in the Pet Contest.
But this year …
There were enough Class A pets!
Cleo guessed that the final stage would probably be the competition between Class A + rare pets!
…
Outside the shop.
At ten o 'clock in the morning, the shop was finally opened.
Su Ping walked out of the shop. As usual, the customers who had come to pick up their pets entered the shop first.
He would entertain the new customers after they had picked up their pets one by one.
Soon, the shop was full again.
In the meantime, exclamations were echoing on the street outside the shop. Those who had picked up their pets had already received the test results in the assessment shop across the street.
All of them were Class A, without exception!
The lowest aptitude was A-. Occasionally, there would be Class A + pets, which made countless people envious.
The cheers traveled through the assessment shop to the streets outside, and into the ears of the people waiting in line. The people who had been waiting in line out of boredom were now excited, as if they had been injected with chicken blood, and became very excited.
The rumors were true!
All the pets trained in this shop had Class A aptitudes!
The products would be Class A!
"Hello."
Right when Su Ping apologized and was about to close the shop, a middle-aged man suddenly came to the front of the stairs. The man looked at Su Ping in awe. "Hello, sir. My teacher wants to visit you."
"Visit me?" Su Ping raised his eyebrows and shook his head. "I'm not a celebrity. There's no need."
During the past few days, many people had come to visit him, to ask for advice, and to give him gifts, all so that they could cut the line and get a spot for early training.
But he couldn't break the system's rules. As for those people changing positions outside of the shop through their own means, Su Ping didn't care as long as they didn't do it in front of him.
After all, no one was allowed to cut the line.
If a Star State expert were to come, all the people in the line would make way for them out of fear. Then, that Star State expert would naturally be the first in line.
Su Ping couldn't stop them even if he wanted to.
"Sir!"
The middle-aged man grew anxious when Su Ping refused. He quickly said, "My teacher is Master Pablo."
Su Ping: "?"
The middle-aged man was stunned for a moment after seeing Su Ping's confusion. He quickly said in a low voice, "My teacher is a four-star master trainer. Sir, you have a grandmaster trainer in your shop, and he's here to ask for advice. I hope you can let my teacher meet you."
As he spoke, the figure of an old man wearing a hood walked over.
Silver strands of hair could be seen on both sides of his face under the hood.
Su Ping noticed him and perceived him, only to find that he was a Fate State expert.
"A master trainer?" Su Ping slightly raised his eyebrows. He had a general idea of what a four-star master trainer was after searching the Federation with the Lord Badge. To put it simply, they were trainers of a higher status than the Holy Spirit Trainers on the Blue Planet. They could enlighten a pet's understanding, talent, and intelligence!
However, the pets that they could train were limited to those below the Star State.
It was possible to train Star State pets, but they wouldn't be able to stimulate their powers of understanding and talents; they could only improve their combat ability.
One had to be a grandmaster trainer in order to achieve a qualitative change in a Star State battle pet.
That was why even Star Lords would welcome grandmaster trainers when they entered a solar system.
Not only could grandmaster trainers train Star State wild beasts, but they could also train Star Lords. Most Star Lords could only ask grandmaster trainers to take care of their pets if they couldn't find Transcendent trainers of a higher level.
"Are you the master trainer?" Su Ping looked at the hooded man who was trying to keep a low profile.
He spoke telepathically. Since the guy was keeping a low profile, there was no need for him to publicize it.
"Hello, boss. I'm Pablo." The old man raised his head slightly and revealed a pair of extremely calm eyes. A light flickered in his eyes and the calmness on his face fluctuated slightly. He was a little puzzled.
He sensed that Su Ping was actually at the Void State!
It didn't seem to be a disguise, but his real level!
As a master trainer, he had a unique secret technique of perception. Over the years, no creature except the Star Lord battle pets had been able to hide their level in front of him. They would be completely exposed!
However …
The young man in front of him was a Star State expert who had fought against Garland and the other Guardians.
Fighting one against three, forcing two to retreat and keeping Garlan here!
How could such a person be at the Void State?
Is it a rare disguise skill … Pablo's eyes flashed, and he was secretly alarmed.
The disguise skill was rather horrifying, since he couldn't perceive or see through it.
It had to be noted that his job was to make a living. His perception was one of his best skills, but it didn't work at that moment!
"Yes."
Su Ping nodded and said, "There's no need to visit me. I'm the trainer of this shop. As you can see, my shabby shop has been doing quite well recently. I don't have time for training exchanges."
"…"
The old man was stunned.
In the next moment, his eyes slowly widened as he looked at Su Ping in shock.
What the heck?
You're a trainer here?
He swallowed and said, "Boss, I'd like to visit the grandmaster trainer in your shop …"
"I'm the only trainer in this shop," Su Ping said helplessly. "As for whether or not I'm a grandmaster trainer, I don't know. Anyways, I'm still learning to be a trainer. My abilities are limited and my training skills are shallow. I can only be regarded as an elementary trainer." Su Ping was speechless.
"…"
Pablo was dumbfounded.
He believed that Su Ping wouldn't have dared to pretend to be a grandmaster trainer if he wasn't trying to get himself killed.
After all, that would be a serious offense!
The shop didn't seem to be trying to hide the identity of a grandmaster trainer. Asking someone to pretend to be him … was unnecessary!
But …
Was Su Ping really the grandmaster trainer?
But this grandmaster trainer was the one who defeated the Star System and captured Garland alive!
Was fighting just his side job?
Pablo was more or less confused. Su Ping's words rendered him speechless.
A grandmaster trainer claimed that his training skills were shallow, and he claimed to be a beginner trainer … Then what am I?
An apprentice trainer?
Or an apprentice trainer who's beyond the threshold?
