Luke took out his lighter and ignited the line of gasoline.
Bright flames quickly rose, and the black widows backed off in fear.
Whether it was fire or light, they were both things that they were afraid of.
Luke smashed the window of the truck next to him with a punch and poured the rest of the gasoline into it before he put the barrel away.
He then released the truck's handbrake and hit the steering wheel with a baseball bat, before he threw the burning lighter on the driver's seat.
Flames rose and quickly engulfed the cab of the truck.
Luke then walked to the back of the truck and reloaded his M4A1. Holding the gun in his right hand, he abruptly raised the truck with his left hand and turned it thirty degrees.
He turned his head and checked that he was in the right direction. He pressed his left hand on the back of the truck and roared, unleashing a tremendous force.
The truck was immediately pushed forward at a speed similar to a normal starting speed.
Luke gradually increased his speed and exerted more strength.
The burning truck forcibly accelerated under his brute force and slammed into the broken warehouse door at a speed of nearly twenty kilometers per hour.
With a loud rumble, half of the truck was stuffed into the warehouse door.
Luke fired nonstop with his M4A1 to kill the black widows that were coming at him from all directions.
After cleaning up the place just now and blocking the exit for their reinforcements, the number of black widows quickly dwindled.
In a few minutes, Luke used his M4A1, Glock and M500 revolvers to blow up dozens of black widows in the underground garage.
Luke reloaded the three guns and found a car. He smashed down the window and drove it to the back of the truck like a car thief did in movies and TV shows.
Pulling the handbrake, he got out and pushed the car so that it stuck to the back of the truck, before he stopped in satisfaction.
He packed up all the flammable junk on the car and threw it into the front of the truck so that the fire could continue.
Luke then took out his fake phone and checked the time. It had been almost fifty minutes since he notified Captain Wales. Reinforcements from the FBI's 17th Division should be arriving soon.
At that moment, Selina's voice rang out over the walkie-talkie. "Luke, I think I hear a helicopter."
He was overjoyed. "I'll be right back. I've taken care of everything down there for now."
After setting up a camera to monitor the exit of the underground garage, Luke quickly went up the stairs. When he passed by the staircase, he asked Chris to remain on guard.
When he got to the second floor, he emptied the magazine of his M4A1 and cleared some of the spiders at the entrance. He said, "Everyone, stop shooting for thirty seconds."
Ten seconds later, the defending townsfolk finally stopped shooting.
Luke took off his earpiece and listened through the open window for a moment, before he was finally relieved.
It really was the sound of a helicopter! The helicopter that came to this remote town at night couldn't just be passing by, right?
He looked up at the dark night sky, where the sound of the helicopter had come from.
A moment later, two flashing red dots appeared in the night sky.
At that moment, Luke's phone rang.
He got out of the way and gestured for everybody to resume shooting, before he ran back to the first floor and picked up the phone. "I'm Luke."
The person on the other end of the phone immediately said, "It's me, Luke. Charles, I've been ordered to help you. We're close to Boom Town. Please hang in there … "
Luke interrupted him. "Alright, thank you very much, Charles. We're in the shopping center. You should be able to see where the gunfire is the most intense. I have to remind you that those giant spiders are very troublesome. They're too good at jumping, and they can ambush you from the roofs and walls. "
Agent Charles (whose real name was Cheney Spicer) on the other end of the phone said, "Captain Wales has already reminded us, so we won't land for now. We'll support you from the air until most of the spiders are taken care of."
Luke was greatly relieved.
Captain Wales was truly a frontline commander, unlike Deputy Director Duane Robinson, who was used to sitting in an office and wouldn't send his subordinates into a fire pit.
The helicopter's greatest advantage was that it was so high up in the sky that the spiders couldn't fight back.
A moment later, Luke realized how reliable professional operatives were.
He had thought that the reinforcements would be shooting from the helicopters. After all, that was how the police operated most of the time.
In the end, after a series of low and intense noises, chains of fire swept down from the two helicopters and plowed up a cloud of dust at the entrance of the shopping center.
Luke was lost for words. They weren't using rifles, but six-barreled cannons!
The two helicopters circled the shopping center three times, and the giant spiders near the shopping center were reduced to a handful.
They had been so arrogant a moment ago, but now, they were like cockroaches that had run into a pair of slippers.
After a brief silence, the residents in the shopping center suddenly cheered.
Luke contacted Samantha over the walkie-talkie. "Keep the residents under control and don't let them run around. Reinforcements have arrived, but they'll still be in danger if they run into any spiders that slip through the net. Do you understand? Tell them to stay here until the FBI's reinforcements get rid of the spiders. "
Samantha had been cheering too, but she came back to herself when she heard that.
It wasn't until then that she realized that some of the crazed residents around her were already shouting to open the door and get revenge on the spiders.
She immediately sweated. "I'll try my best, but something's wrong with them. They seem too excited."
After a brief silence, Luke said, "Got it. Keep them under control for now. I'll come down and talk to the hotheaded guys later."
Great sorrow and great joy could easily make people lose control of their emotions.
These residents were just ordinary people, and it wasn't unusual at all for them to lose control of their emotions.
Ending the call, Luke took out his M500 and fired.
Now that the residents were basically cheering and the spiders outside had collapsed, they stopped shooting.
The M500 revolver's loud gunshot suddenly rang out, causing everyone to jump in fright.
They turned around, only to see that Luke was calmly standing there with his gun raised. Everybody subconsciously stopped cheering.
Luke's valiant performance in the previous battle had left a deep impression on them!
Humans would always subconsciously respect the strong, especially when their lives were entrusted to the strong.
In the silence, he opened his mouth and said indifferently, "Everybody, I have to remind you. Just an hour ago, you were crying out in fear of those giant spiders. "
