Huo Yao smiled, and a rare gentleness appeared on her cold face. She gently stroked the old lady's white hair and lowered her voice as though she was coaxing a child. "I've settled the paperwork for my transfer, so it's time for me to go. Take care of yourself and remember to take your medicine on time. I'll visit you when we get back to City S. OK?"
Yang Qiuhua's throat turned dry when she felt Huo Yao's gentleness. Moments later, she held Huo Yao's hand tightly. "Okay. I'll listen to you."
"Good girl." Huo Yao nodded in satisfaction.
He Xiaoman felt upset. She had talked to the old lady until her mouth was dry, but the old lady did not agree to go back to the city with her. Yet, the old lady had agreed to go back to the city with just a few words from Huo Yao.
It seemed that she had underestimated this wild girl's ability to coax people!
At that moment, the ambulance arrived.
The old lady was carried into the ambulance by the paramedics at He Xiaoman's insistence. Before she went to the hospital, He Xiaoman did not forget to warn Huo Yao to get lost.
After He Xiaoman left, Huo Yao went back to her room and pulled out her suitcase from under the bed. She had already packed it.
Even if He Xiaoman had not done this today, she would have left soon.
Huo Yao had not returned to the Huo family in the past few months since Lu Yao changed her name to Huo Yao. Firstly, she was worried about Yang Qiuhua's health. Secondly, it was the second semester of the second year of high school, so she had agreed with the biological parents of this body that she would transfer to another school after the semester was over.
Huo Yao took out a letter from the drawer of her old desk. She flicked the corner of the letter with her slender fingers before stuffing it into her backpack.

Huo Yao had just closed the courtyard door with her suitcase when she heard a horn honking. She raised her head and narrowed her eyes at the black car that was making the sound.
Although the car had an ordinary Volkswagen logo, the shape of the car looked cool and smooth. It was low-key yet ostentatious.
Before long, a man wearing a black cap got out of the car. He leaned against the car door lazily and looked in Huo Yao's direction.
Huo Yao raised her brow. Her exquisite face looked a little more relaxed. She pulled the suitcase and walked over to him. She smiled when she got closer. "Were you waiting for me?"
The man crossed his arms in front of his chest and raised his jade-like chin slightly. He scanned Huo Yao from head to toe before his eyes landed on her suitcase. He said playfully, "Did you get kicked out?"
Huo Yao glanced at him. "Eavesdropping isn't something a gentleman would do."
Min Yu sneered. "Have you forgotten that we are only separated by half a wall?"
"So, my neighbor, did you wait here just to mock your savior?" asked Huo Yao as she crossed her arms and smiled ambiguously.
After knowing Huo Yao for almost a year, Min Yu had gotten used to Huo Yao's habit of never asking for his name and insisting on calling him the neighbor. Of course, he knew about Huo Yao's background.
"What are your plans now?" Min Yu raised his brow. Huo Yao's features were stunning under the cap, especially her eyes. They were deep and boundless like the stars.
He paused before he added. "Of course, if you have nowhere to go, I can take you in for the time being."
