Huo Tingrui's face froze.
However, Huo Yao had already veered her eyes away. Her phone was vibrating in her pocket.
Huo Yao took out her phone and checked it. Then she got up from the couch and put on her coat as she said, "I'm going out to get something."
Huo Tingrui heaved a sigh of relief when he saw her walking to the door.
He pressed his left shoulder, thinking that he had noticed something.

It was already dark outside. Huo Yao walked through the garden and saw the man standing outside.
He was dressed in a long, dark-colored coat. His aura was like a snow-covered mountain, and he exuded an air of nobility that could not be ignored. He was holding a bag in one hand while his other hand was casually tucked into his trouser pocket. His head was initially lowered, but he seemed to have sensed something and raised his head to look at her.
Huo Yao touched the tip of her nose before she opened the door and walked out.
Min Yu could not help raising his brow when he saw Huo Yao wrapped in a thick coat. "Why are you wearing so much?"
Huo Yao replied vaguely.
Min Yu could hear a slight nasal tone in her voice. When he handed the bag to Huo Yao, he held her hand. It was ice-cold. "Did you catch a cold?" asked Min Yu.
"I'm fine now." Huo Yao coughed. She could feel the warmth in her palm as though it was trying to drive away the coldness in her fingers.
Min Yu glanced at her ambiguously without saying a word. He held her other hand and wrapped it around her hand. He stood there quietly for a while until the coldness in her hand dissipated. Then he placed her hand in her coat pocket and said, "Rest early tonight."
Huo Yao raised her head to see the faint blue in Min Yu's eyes. She paused before she said, "You too."
Min Yu nodded. It was windy outside, and Huo Yao's eyes were very bright. He smiled and suddenly hugged her again. His face was close to her ear. After a while, he let go of her and said, "Uh huh. Let's go."
"Okay." Huo Yao walked to the door and turned slightly to see Min Yu still standing there. She contemplated before she asked him. "Are you having a problem?"
Min Yu was slightly stunned before he shook his head. "No."
Huo Yao wrapped the bag around her arm and did not probe further. "Goodnight."
"Good night."
Min Yu's gaze deepened. He only retracted his gaze when he could no longer see Huo Yao.
His car was parked at the intersection. After he got into the car, he drove out of the estate. He did not return to his villa.

When Huo Yao returned to the living room with her bag, Huo Tingrui was drinking a glass of warm water. He was about to head back to his room to rest.
Huo Yao placed her bag on the cabinet. A thought crossed her mind before she raised her head and asked him. "Brother Tingrui, why did Fang Chen look for you?"
"We just had a meal and chatted for a while." Replied Huo Tingrui. He pondered Fang Chen's reaction today before he added. "But I think he might be looking for you for something."
Huo Yao contemplated before she nodded. "I got it."
Looking at the time, the medicine she gave him last time should be finished soon.
Huo Yulin glanced at her. His left shoulder was hurting badly, so he did not say anything to prevent her from noticing. He merely gave Huo Yao some instructions before he went upstairs.
Huo Yao leaned against the sofa's armrest and watched Huo Tingrui's back as he went upstairs. She was not sure if she was imagining things, but she felt that his back looked a little stiff.
His left shoulder, in particular, was slanted as though something heavy was pressing down on it.
Huo Yao narrowed her eyes.
