Half an hour later, the car arrived at the clubhouse.
Huo Tingrui told his assistant to take care of the dinner and claim it later. Then he went upstairs to the suite.
Fang Chen was already there.
"Sorry, I was delayed," said Huo Tingrui apologetically.
Fang Chen smiled casually and gestured to Huo Tingrui to take a seat. "It's fine. I just got here."
Huo Tingrui sat down and thanked Fang Chen as soon as he poured him a cup of tea.
Although they had not interacted much in the past, they did not feel awkward as they sat down and chatted.
"It's a pity that you are so capable." Fang Chen sighed softly as he talked about the Procuratorate.
Huo Tingrui sat quietly. His left hand was resting on his thigh and he rarely raised it. He took a sip of tea before he smiled modestly and said, "I just don't like the rules in the government."
Fang Chen looked at Huo Tingrui. Huo Tingrui's words reminded him of Huo Yao.
The child was not one who liked to be restrained.
Perhaps this was the nature of the Huo family.
Fang Chen composed his thoughts before he said, "That's true. Feel free to let me know if you need my help in the future."
Huo Tingrui replied politely. He paused and thought about something before he said, "I only have one younger sister. She's studying here all by herself, so I can't take care of her sometimes. If anything happens to her in the future, I hope you can help me out."
Although he might not need Huo Tingrui's help, Huo Tingrui knew better than anyone else that the more friends he had, the more options he could use.
Moreover, Fang Chen was in the government, so power was more useful than money.
Fang Chen went quiet. He was not sure if Huo Tingrui was aware of Huo Yao's relationship with Min Yu, but since Huo Tingrui brought it up, he nodded in agreement. "Miss Huo saved my life, so it's only right for me to take care of her."
Huo Tingrui thanked him.
Before long, the waiter came to serve the dishes.
Fang Chen had asked Huo Tingrui out for dinner not only to talk about the Procuratorate, but also to ask Huo Yao out. However, she had rejected him yesterday, so he was too embarrassed to ask.
Fang Chen did not ask about Huo Yao during dinner. Although he was worried about Huo Yao's health, he knew that he could not rush it.
Both of them had their own thoughts, so they parted ways after dinner.

When Huo Tingrui got home, Huo Yao was lying on the couch wrapped in a thick blanket. with a pile of tissues.
"Tingrui, you're home." Huo Yao sniffled and looked at Huo Tingrui. Her nasal voice was not as nasal as it had been in the morning.
"Uh huh," acknowledged Huo Tingrui. He sat down next to Huo Yao and raised his hand to touch her forehead. "Are you feeling better?"
"More or less." Huo Yao nodded. She pulled the blanket tighter around her.
Huo Tingrui's lips twitched. He would have believed her if she had not done that.
"Where's Brother Yulin?" asked Huo Tingrui casually as he looked up.
"Oh, he's upstairs, busy with something." Huo Yao's nose was not very sensitive today, but she could still smell the faint scent of ointment. She looked at Huo Tingrui and asked him. "Brother Tingrui, did you put on ointment?"
Huo Tingrui looked calm as he massaged his neck with his right hand. "It's just an occupational hazard."
"Why don't I give you a massage?" Huo Yao reached out to remove the blanket.
Huo Tingrui smiled and shook his head. He covered her up with the blanket again. "I don't pick on people who are sick."
"You look a little different today." Huo Yao tilted her head. It was not like him to behave like a dog all of a sudden.
