The air in the Elf Forest was refreshing and comfortable to breathe.

If the air in the human world was a stream with a vague fishy smell, the air in the Elf Forest would be the sweet spring water.

Standing at the edge of the lake, Roland watched the white-tailed fish swimming leisurely in the clear water.

Such an environment would've been relaxing, but Roland didn't appreciate it at all.

Next to him were Schuck and Margret, the dragoness.

Marguerite was very unhappy. Anse's words were like a knife that cut open a fact that she had deliberately ignored.

The dragons were strong, but they weren't the dominators of the world.

Margret, who had been proud of her identity since childhood and had lived for decades, felt that the world was collapsing.

Roland lowered his head and looked at the fish in the water for a while, before he asked, "What do you think of Ans?"

"He's a lunatic, but he should be a politician," Schuck said sadly. Schuck said in a melancholy tone, "In order to carry out his political views, he wants to kill his teacher and his compatriots, and he wants to borrow external forces. I think this man is very contradictory. But I'm not in a position to criticize him. After all, he's an elf, and I'm a human being. "

Roland nodded. "We're just outsiders. Besides, it's hard to say whether a political struggle is right or wrong. It's more about one's standpoint."

Sighing slightly, Schuck asked, "Then do you still want to do this quest?"

"Of course I have to." Roland recalled the tiny body in the bucket. "I don't care what Ans' purpose is. It's a fact that Nature's Wrath slaughtered the villages and towns. I don't want to consider too many reasons. They're too troublesome. Right now, I just want to sit on the human beings' side. "

The forest became quieter and quieter, except for the rustling of leaves in the wind.

Schuck looked at Margret in the light and shadow with a hint of gentleness in his eyes, and then he said softly, "I will also completely stand on the side of humans, but I feel that sometimes we have to consider the views and opinions of other races and try to find a balance. After all, seeking common ground while reserving differences is the mainstream ideology now."

Roland glanced back and forth between Schuck and Margret. As if he understood something, he slightly nodded.

Even the best of friends would have slightly different opinions on the same matter.

After a moment of silence, Roland finally asked, "Where's Betta? I didn't see him just now."

"He went out. I think he's looking for wild fruits, spices, or something." Recalling how his cousin ran out in excitement, Schuck smiled and said, "After all, he's been making his own food since he was a kid. Now that he's come to the Elf Forest, he has to explore it."

Roland also laughed.

After all, Betta was only eighteen years old and wasn't as sophisticated as the two of them. He is easily affected by sadness, but also easily shaken off. To put it bluntly, he was an optimist. When he should be happy, he would be happy. When he should be sad, he would be sad.

As Schuck expected, Betta returned to the stone building from the depths of the forest two hours later.

His body was covered with many branches, leaves, and some small fruits with barbed hooks.

Schuck walked over and patted the weeds and sticky seeds off his cousin's body. He asked, "How was the harvest?"

"A lot." Betta took out his harvest from his Backpack as if he were presenting a treasure. "Look, what a fat spider. This grass is very spicy. It can be used as a spice. Also, this grass is more fragrant. It smells like star anise. It can be used as a spice. This is a long-horned rabbit. I wonder if it tastes good. "

Everybody was lost for words as Betta took out the "toys" one after another. Are you trying all kinds of herbs like Shennong?

Margret subconsciously swallowed as she looked at the fat, white spider.

Roasted locusts were delicious enough. Such a big worm must be even more delicious.

For most humans, the Elf Forest was very dangerous. There were many large predators on the periphery, and further in, it was the range of the elves' patrols. Anyone who was seen would be hunted down, no matter who they were or what race they were.

However, for Betta, this was a treasure house with a lot of animal and plant ingredients that he had never seen before, as well as exotic spices. If it were possible, he would like to stay here for three to five years.

Then, Betta held a barbecue on the top of the building.

One had to admit that delicious food was one of the best ways to relieve one's depression. They chatted, drank fruit wine, and enjoyed the weird barbecue. Soon, they were in a better mood. Of course, it didn't mean that they had forgotten what they saw earlier. They just buried it in their hearts.

In the next few days, everybody rested in the stone building. At first, they were scared that the elves' patrols would come to the periphery of the forest and discover them, which would lead to unnecessary conflicts.

But after a few days, no elves other than Ans came out of the forest.

Also, Betta searched for food in the forest and ventured deeper into the forest every day, but he still didn't see any elves' patrols.

That became the question on everybody's mind.

Five days passed in the blink of an eye, and Ans finally came. His face was solemn, and his hair was slightly messy. He was no longer as meticulous as before. "Tomorrow night, my teacher and other leaders of Nature's Wrath will hold a bonfire party in this place. We will also discuss the plans of Nature's Wrath for the next twenty years.

The lifespan of the Elves was very long, so their plan was calculated in terms of ten years.

A big map was placed on the table, and Ans began to observe the stone building.

The magic power in the stone building had disappeared, but with his extraordinary magic talent, Ans could still tell that the stone building was a product of magic.

Mud to Stone?

Such precise control? Even he couldn't do it, but a human being could?

Ans glanced at the priest and Roland, before he focused his eyes on Roland.

Clerics usually wouldn't waste their magic slots on such fancy spells that didn't have much positive effect in battles. Only the Mages who didn't have to worry about magic slots would learn such special spells.

Did this human being have strong control over magic power?

He couldn't tell.

Roland was looking at the map on the table. He subconsciously sensed Ans' gaze and raised his head, only to find that Ans had moved his eyes away.

Roland was rather puzzled.

The place where Nature's Wrath would hold the party wasn't far away from them. Based on the scale of the map, it was only twenty kilometers away.

After reading the map, Betta nodded and said to Ans, "Got it. We'll set up an ambush near the party at least six hours in advance."

"Good luck." Ans glanced at the ten people in front of him and said in a solemn tone, "This is our only chance. I'm told that the Golden Sons can be resurrected in the Church of Life. I've set up a simple Church of the Life Goddess at the periphery of the party. I hope it'll be of help to you. "

Roland and the others were quite surprised to hear that.

Betta asked, "Don't the elves only believe in the Goddess of Forest?"

"The Goddess of Forest doesn't reject other faiths, nor does she force us to worship her. Also, I'm actually a true believer of the Goddess of Life." Ans smiled. "That's why I know about the Golden Sons."

So that was the case. No wonder Ans asked the players to complete the quest.

Ans slightly bowed and said sincerely, "I'll leave the rest to you. I have to go back and prepare for the party."

Everybody nodded.

After Ans left, Roland and the others began to make preparations.

Checking their weapons, the Priest and the Warlock began to check if the spells in their slots were suitable for the upcoming battle.

The Warlock, on the other hand, had even summoned a maggot.

However, as soon as the maggot appeared in front of everyone, it emitted a strange smell.

Everybody couldn't help but cover their noses.

Hawk shouted, "Put it away! Put it away! Do you want us to die from the stench?"

The Warlock shrugged and helplessly sent the maggot back to the summoning space. He said pitifully, "I'm afraid that the magic waves will alarm the elves if I summon it at the ambush site."

"You can't summon it until we're out of the house." Link said disgustedly, "Besides, why do you have to use maggots as magic pets? They're too disgusting."

The Warlock said matter-of-factly, "The maggot is strong. Only strength is eternal. Can beauty and handsomeness be eaten …"

At this point, everybody's eyes fell on Schuck and then on Xiao Longnu who was standing next to him.

"Fine, handsomeness really can be eaten." The Warlock gloomily hid in the corner of the room and went to draw circles.

Hawk exhaled and said, "Now that everybody is ready, I'll talk about the battle plan."

"Me, Link, Dorfer, and Solomon will be the attack echelon." Hawk pressed on the east side of the map and continued, "According to the mark on the map, there's a hill here that's very suitable as a strategic sniping point."

Dorfer was a Hunter, and Solomon was a Warlock. Both of them had remote attacks. That position was just enough to cover the entire party.

"Roland, Betta, Suel, and Rommel will be the second echelon. You'll be responsible for the buffs of auxiliary spells. Suel, remember, your priority is not to fight but to protect Roland and not let him be harassed by elven archers. Betta and you, Rommel, are both compound combat classes. After the battle, find your own opportunities to attack. "

Finally, Hawk looked at Schuck.

"Because the red dragon princess's dragon aura is too strong, the elves will definitely sense it if we approach the party, so Chairman Schuck, please stand by with the red dragon princess and wait for three minutes before we're ready to attack. We'll give you the signal to enter. You and the red dragon princess are our strongest fighters. After the druid turns into a dragon, you'll need to hold him back. "

Schuck nodded. "No problem."

"Because it's our first battle with the elves, we don't have any detailed plans. We can only take it one step at a time. When the time comes, it'll be up to everybody."

Everyone chuckled. Everyone seemed a little excited.
