Chapter 188
Words:679Update:22/06/26 14:08:07
There was a loud rumbling sound.
The entire station building began to shake violently as if there was an earthquake.
This was almost fatal in the desert.
But the shaking only lasted for a few seconds before it stopped.
Zhang Jue knew that this was definitely not an earthquake. It should be some kind of mechanism that was triggered.
He looked up and down, left and right, but nothing seemed to have changed in this room.
Then he ran to the corridor outside and looked out of the window.
He saw that a door had opened on the giant stone tablet outside with the words Site 237.
Sure enough.
Zhang Jue laughed.
He ran downstairs in a flash.
He came to the stone tablet and saw the iron door that appeared out of thin air. He guessed that this was probably the real entrance to Site 237.
The door seemed to be responsive. When he stood in front of the door, the door automatically opened to both sides. Inside was a metal bridge box, like an elevator.
But there was no button.
Zhang Jue walked in and the door closed automatically.
There was a rumbling sound.
Zhang Jue felt a little weightless as if he was moving down.
The elevator went down for nearly five minutes. Based on the speed of the elevator, he was at least 200 meters underground.
Above him was the yellow desert.
If he died here, he wouldn't even need to be buried.
After about a minute, the elevator finally began to slow down and finally stopped.
The elevator door opened.
A long corridor appeared in front of Zhang Jue, and he couldn't see the end of it.
The walls of the corridor were made of a special metal. Every few dozen meters, a door randomly appeared on both sides of the corridor.
If he guessed correctly, this should be Site 237 – the last antimeme containment room of the foundation.
Those dangerous antimeme projects were all contained here.
Zhang Jue walked forward.
He found that the numbers on all the containment rooms had been erased.
Some of the containment rooms had been opened, and the anomalies inside were nowhere to be found.
Most of the containment rooms were still closed.
Zhang Jue thought about it and didn't open the door.
If something bad was released by him, it would be a big problem.
He walked forward for about a kilometer before he finally reached the end.
It was a door that faced the corridor.
It was different from the containment rooms he had encountered before.
