Originally a believer of Markelo, the God of Harvest, Joey was later saved by the Players and left the God of Harvest's church at the cost of a third of his blood, becoming a believer of the God of Games (and always wanted to become Terry and Jom's godfather).
Unlike most other Players who were active on the Eastern Continent, he had always formed a three-man party with Zonyan Grayclaw and Vulcan Cherda to explore the Western Continent. Apart from the God of Games' activities, he would never go to the Eastern Continent.
Still, the quests in the Western Continent were rather monotonous, and the only thing he could do now was farm affinity with the Long Ears.
Joey and the others had joined the hill-folk's siege two days ago to join in the fun, but they didn't get much out of it. None of them managed to get a chance to change to a hidden class.
Of course, it wasn't as if they didn't gain anything — at least their contribution points were enough to exchange for some equipment.
Being the lowest-leveled member of the Western Continent exploration party, Joey naturally had to use the contribution points he earned from the event to exchange for a set of passable equipment so that he could better carry out his quests.
That was why he stayed behind in the Unnamed Town even after Zonyan and the others returned to the Western Continent. Though the Player forums were convenient, it was easier to bargain in person, and it was more convenient to trade for second-hand equipment in person while keeping it a secret.
Joey was naturally immeasurably surprised to see Rangka in the Unnamed Town.
"Mister Rangka, you've become a believer of the God of Games too?"
Since when did the Rabbitmen become believers of the God of Games?
Rangka, on the other hand, was beside himself with delight.
It was only natural that he would feel nervous and worried when he first arrived in an unfamiliar place, even if the unfamiliar place looked so beautiful.
The man-eating flower in the distance stuck out its tongue.
Well, it wasn't as beautiful as it looked.
Either way, Rangka felt much more relaxed to run into someone he knew.
Moreover, Rangka could tell from Joey's words that there was something off.
Since Joey was so certain that he was a believer of the God of Games, it meant that even if this place wasn't the God of Games' divine kingdom, it was definitely a place that only believers could come to!
Thus, he no longer hesitated and approached Joey, telling him everything that had happened to him in full detail.
Joey did a double take as well.
The general idea was that Rangka had been facing certain death, but by becoming a believer of the God of Games, he barely escaped death and was reborn at the Lifestone of the Unnamed Town.
In fact, the God of Games had even issued a quest so that Rangka would have enough EXP to resurrect himself.
"But isn't resurrection supposed to be locked in a small black room for three days …"
Joey mumbled in confusion.
"I heard that new believers seem to have a Resurrection Experience Voucher," a passing player casually replied.
"Resurrection?"
"Yeah. It should be, but but of Revival Ankof Ankof Of. of Resurrection of Resurrects, King in King of of Of Of King of King." The player replied, "I don't think it's very reliable, so I still plan to buy the Resurrection Ankh."
It was only then that Joey nodded. No wonder Junka would be resurrected in the Unnamed Town.
Strictly speaking, the Sky Horizon was the Players' main camp, but whether it was intentional or not, the God of Games' default resurrection point was still the Unnamed Town.
"What's going on now?"
Rangka, who was listening in beside them was still confused. He simply felt that the God of Games had a lot of things going on here. Resurrection of Resurrection, Ankof Ankof Ankof Resurrection, Resurrection Ankof Ankof Resurrection Points and even resurrection methods that were considered taboo in other churches were all over the place, and the believers of the God of Games had no intention of avoiding them at all …
Still, Joey didn't let Rangka directly go to the Player forums to read the posts that other Players had compiled for newbies. After all, the forums were a jumble of good and bad with all sorts of stimulating posts everywhere, and letting a newbie who wasn't mentally prepared in the slightest wouldn't mean that he would come out as an elite Player who knew everything about the System like the back of his hand, but an LSP …
It should be mentioned that Xi Wei would cut down every negative post he saw, but he believed that GHS was one of the driving forces of mankind. That was why he would turn a half-blind eye as long as it wasn't a real thing, or one that was secretly taking pictures or forcing someone to take pictures.
That was the truth. Generally speaking, it was rather troublesome for a native of a fantasy world to understand the various functions of an online forum. However, after the GHS posts, the speed at which new players assimilated into the forum increased significantly. Moreover, the discussion under the relevant posts was rather harmonious, and there were almost no arguments.
Anyway, after understanding that the believers of the God of Games could use EXP to resurrect, Rangka was so shocked that his ears were popping.
Still, he soon recovered and hoped that Joey could help him save his nephew. Even if he didn't have anything that Joey would be interested in right now, he would definitely return the favor in the future.
Joey had no objections to that, and the two promptly headed to the Long Ears' territory through the Lifestone in the Unnamed Town.
The Long Ears had gotten used to the Players appearing and disappearing around the Lifestone, and some of them who were closer to the Players were invited to the Players' banquets. Even so, some of them were shocked when Rangka suddenly popped out of the Lifestone.
Worried, Rangka told the Long Ears' leader about what happened on the way, and was ready to go to Laybit's aid.
"Actually, I don't think it's a big deal if you don't go." Unexpectedly, the Long Ears' leader said after some hesitation.
"What?" Rangka was taken aback, and exclaimed loudly, "I'm still a Long Ear even if I've joined the Church of Games! Don't you trust me now?! Laybit is your son, and he's in such danger because of our mistake! Shouldn't we do our best to save him?! "
"Calm down, Rangka. You've misunderstood me." The Long Ears' leader sighed and waved for Rangka to calm down. "What I mean is that the two believers of the God of Games who came to the Long Ears' territory before … it was actually Zonyan and the others who had already left."
"Wha … but how did they know …" Rangka did a double take. He had brought Laybit's condition back here at the cost of his life, so how did someone else know?
