After Harry left with the Death Eaters, the main hall of the Ministry of Magic returned to silence.
The only sound that could be heard in the stalls was the steady gurgling of the Golden Fountain, from the wands of the wizards and wizards, from the arrowheads of the centaurs, from the tips of the goblins' hats, and from the ears of the house-elves, into the round pool.
Suddenly, a golden light flashed, and Elwyn and Dumbledore appeared out of thin air.
They had just rushed over from Norway, leaving Keresis, Hermione and Elaine at the Vampire Castle.
"This is the Ministry of Magic?" Riddle floated out of the ring and looked around curiously. "What a big change."
Ignoring Riddle, Elwyn quickly asked, "Professor, is he here?"
"Yes, he's down there. We need to hurry." Dumbledore said solemnly as he took off the ring and passed it to Elwyn. "I'll leave this ring in your care for now. Don't let him see Riddle."
Lord Voldemort had not realized that they were destroying his Soul Vessel, nor would he know that a Soul Vessel had betrayed him.
Under Riddle's watchful eyes, Elwyn kept the ring.
"Kid, keep this ring safe. Don't lose it!" Riddle reminded him.
After what happened just now, his dissatisfaction and hostility towards Elwyn had reached an undisguised level.
"I don't need you to remind me. Come back now!" Elwyn ordered. "We don't have time to waste on you."
Riddle glared at him and disappeared into thin air.
Elwyn quickly followed Dumbledore through the hall and took the elevator to the Department of Mystery Affairs.
As for how to capture Lord Voldemort and the Death Eaters, he did not care.
That was Dumbledore's business. Elwyn wanted to get the time converter.
A minute later, they entered the first room of the Department of Mystery Affairs. The twelve doors on the wall began to spin.
Elwyn felt like he was surrounded by the blue light of the spinning candles. He did not know which door was the one he needed.
Dumbledore raised his wand and the spinning wall immediately stopped. A door opened.
Behind the door, bustling noises could be heard.
The members of the Order of the Phoenix were fighting with the Death Eaters, casting spells and cursing incessantly. Elwyn heard the shouts of Mad-Eye Moody and Lupin, who was not far from the gate, dueling with Lucius Malfoy.
But Elwyn did not see Harry, Sirius, or Lord Voldemort, nor did he hear their voices.
The room was in a mess. The hourglasses, clocks, and time converters that were originally placed on the display windows, shelves, and bookshelves were now strewn everywhere. Many of them had been smashed into pieces, causing time to distort within a certain space.
As soon as the two entered, a Death Eater discovered Dumbledore and shouted to inform the other Death Eaters.
Dumbledore waved his wand lightly, and the Death Eater was frozen in place, unable to speak.
"Albus, they're inside!" Mad-Eye shouted, pointing to the large clock at the end of the room.
It was a bell-shaped glass cover, the brightest object in the room.
It emitted a bright, diamond-like light, and the pocket-sized egg inside repeated the process of hatching a bird.
At the top of the clock, Elwyn saw the time converter.
It was part of the Titan of Time's power, the world's most powerful time converter, and it controlled the mysteries of time.
A thousand years ago, Ravenclaw had obtained it from the Titan of Time and left it in a secret room in the castle.
Four years ago, Elwyn had used it to return to the newly established Hogwarts and returned it to Ravenclaw.
After Ravenclaw's death, it had been kept in this room in the Department of Mysterious Affairs.
Obviously, in the long passage of time, the wizards had forgotten about this time converter, thinking that it was part of the bell-shaped glass cover. No one knew that it was actually the real core that affected time.
As long as he had it, Elwyn could once again return to the past to find Ravenclaw and obtain the key to her treasure …
Dumbledore moved quickly, knocking down the Death Eaters along the way. He did not stop, and his figure disappeared behind the large clock. Kingsley and Mad-Eye ran over to help, but Elwyn did not follow. He stayed in front of the crystal cover.
With Dumbledore around, there was no need to worry even if Lord Voldemort was inside. He would not be of much help even if he went in.
He was studying how to remove the time converter. Should he put his hand into the glass cover, or use magic to shatter it?
In the flickering light, there was a small egg that was as bright as a gem floating inside the large clock.
When it rose up in the glass cover, it cracked open and a hummingbird emerged. It rose straight to the top of the glass cover, but as the air flowed down, the bird's feathers were dirtied and wet again, until it landed at the bottom of the glass cover and was once again trapped in the egg.
Elwyn did not know much about time magic, but he looked at the unconscious Death Eater under the large clock.
His head was stuffed into the glass cover, constantly changing between an infant and an adult, giving off a creepy feeling.
Seeing him like this, Link knew that it was not a good idea to put his hand in.
As for destroying the object and taking away the time converter …
Elwyn looked around. It was a mess. Only Lupin and Malfoy were left in the room, fighting fiercely. The other Death Eaters had all been knocked down, and with Tonks joining the battle, Malfoy was losing ground. He could not hold on for long.
The remaining members of the Order of the Phoenix used ropes to tie the defeated Death Eaters together.
No one was paying attention to him. This was a good opportunity. If he wanted to make a move, he had to hurry …
Elwyn did not think that the Ministry of Magic would reward him with such an important magic item because of his participation in tonight's operation. Since that was the case, he had to get it himself. No matter what happened, it was the Death Eaters who destroyed it.
He raised his wand and moved the Death Eater on the ground to the side.
The next second, a dark blue light hit the clock, and the sound of glass shattering could be heard.
The hummingbird that flew to the top did not turn back into an egg. It flew directly out of the crystal glass cover.
It seemed that even it was confused and did not know what was going on.
Suddenly, the time converter that fell from the top glowed with a blue light, covering the hummingbird and Elwyn.
One could see that the needle was spinning clockwise at a very fast speed.
Elwyn, who had experienced it once, knew what this meant. The time converter was activated!
In front of him, the light blue pipe spun rapidly and finally converged into darkness.
