Without any communication, the battle began immediately. Spells flew everywhere, but it ended just as quickly.
In this narrow space, the ambushed Death Eaters had no advantage at all and were no match for the Order of the Phoenix.
Harry saw Malfoy dodge another spell. Altrix hid behind a tall Death Eater, allowing four spells to strike the human shield in front of her. The Death Eater was sent flying, and he fell backwards into the bell-shaped glass behind him.
Harry thought he would hit the sturdy glass with a clang and slide down the bell-shaped glass to the floor.
But no, his head sank through the glass as if it were just a soap bubble.
Then he became motionless, sprawled out on the table, his head sinking into the bell-shaped glass filled with flashing air.
Then, the head began to change.
For a moment, everyone stared with their mouths agape, trembling in fear as they stared at the head.
It quickly shrank, becoming bald, and the black hair and stubble retracted back into the head.
His cheeks became smooth, and his head was round and covered with a layer of fluff. As the Death Eater struggled to stand up again, a baby's head grew grotesquely on his thick, muscular neck.
Just as they stared in awe, the head began to swell to its previous size.
Thick black hair grew back from the top of his head and chin. The Death Eater shook his ugly head again, trying to wake himself up, but before he could do so, his head began to shrink back to its infantile state.
The cycle repeated itself. Time worked on his head, and he let out a pained sound.
Sirius waved his wand, and a red light knocked him out, ending his pain, but the magic did not stop.
"Throw away your wands, or I'll let you have a taste of this," Sirius shouted to the remaining five Death Eaters.
Altrix did not put down her wand. She slowly walked backwards into the darkness, looking for a suitable spot.
Above her head were rows of hourglasses.
"How did you know about our operation tonight?" Malfoy didn't move, but he didn't put down his wand either.
"I don't know about that thing in tonight's operation. This was originally a plan against you, a plan to lure you out of the nest, and you have failed! "Sirius said disdainfully," Now, put down your wand, and I will make you feel better. "
"We have not failed!" said Altrix fervently.
"My dear cousin, you need to learn to face reality," Sirius replied sarcastically.
"Fools, the Dark Lord's power is beyond your imagination. You can't possibly …"
"Is that so?" said Sirius. "And where is the mighty Lord Voldemort? He wouldn't dare to come here! "
"Do you really think so, Blake?" A cold voice said.
Harry jerked his head up. He saw a tall, thin, black masked face like a snake, pale and haggard, and scarlet eyes with slits of pupils staring at them. Lord Voldemort was standing at the door, his wand pointed at them.
"Master, you're here, Master!" Altrix said in ecstasy. She quickly threw herself at his feet.
Sirius waved his wand, but did not make a move. He pulled Harry and quickly retreated into the crowd.
The others did not use their wands either. They all stared at Lord Voldemort.
The sudden appearance of Lord Voldemort raised the spirits of the remaining Death Eaters, but the Order of the Phoenix members were all cautious.
They were no match for Lord Voldemort. Harry and Sirius retreated into the crowd. He saw Lupin, Moody, Tonks, and Kingsley. After stepping through the door, he could no longer see Lord Voldemort. He could only hear Altrix's cries and Lord Voldemort's bone-chilling voice.
"Silence, Bella!" Lord Voldemort said frighteningly. "I'll deal with you in a moment! Do you think I came to the Ministry of Magic just to listen to your cries and apologies? I cannot fail again. I must obtain the vital Orb of Prophecy. Before I make my final choice, I must know the prophecy, even if I have to do it myself … "
Harry could not hear the rest of the sentence. He was dragged into the room by Sirius.
The room was as tall as a church. It was filled with towering shelves filled with dusty glass orbs.
More candlesticks were set into the shelves at regular intervals, and a dim light shone from them, as from the first round black room. The flames were blue, and the little glass globes glowed faintly in the light. It was cold in the room.
"Harry, find the Orb of Prophecy. It's on the 97th row. Then take him out of here." Sirius said quickly. "We cannot let him get the orb. We must stall for time. Dumbledore will be here soon."
"Sirius, what's going on?" Harry asked.
"I'll explain later. They can't stop Lord Voldemort for long. There's another door here. Once we get the orb, we'll run out of it." Sirius said. "Row 85, 96, and 97 are here. Find your name, Harry. Hurry."
They walked down the long aisle between the shelves. It was almost pitch black in the distance.
Harry heard the sounds of fighting at the door. He focused on the yellowed labels on the shelves below each orb. Some glowed mysteriously, while others were blurry and dark, like extinguished lightbulbs.
Then, on the dusty shelf, he saw his own name.
It was a small orb. It was dirty, as if it had not been touched for years. But the faint light inside made it glow. In that light, he could see the yellowed label under the orb. It was marked with a date about sixteen years ago in delicate script. Then came the Dark Demon and Harry Potter.
"That's it, Harry!" Sirius said. "It's about your Orb of Prophecy. Pick it up."
Harry had many questions. He looked at Sirius, who still looked like a Death Eater.
He hesitated, then reached out and took the dirty orb. He had expected it to be cold, but instead it felt as if it had been in the sun for hours, as if it was warmed by its own light.
"Sirius, this …"
