After dinner, Su Ping said goodbye to his mother and went upstairs on his own.
Su Ping went to his room and threw himself on the bed. He was about to cultivate when he heard footsteps coming upstairs. He stopped and looked up.
The door was opened at that moment. Su Lingyue pushed it open and walked in.
She looked calm but her eyes were flickering. She didn't dare to look at Su Ping. She was not as calm as she appeared to be.
Su Ping had expected that she would come to see him. He wasn't surprised that she would break into his room. But he didn't say anything.
It was so quiet that they could hear each other's breathing. Su Lingyue spoke first. She never thought that she would feel nervous and stressed when she entered Su Ping's room.
She pretended to look up casually, but she quickly glanced at the guy on the bed. Su Ping was just looking at her quietly. Somehow, she felt panicked when she saw that he was looking at her quietly.
However, what followed was a wave of anger.
She pulled a long face and said, "Shouldn't you give me an explanation for what happened in the academy today?"
Su Ping looked at the stubborn girl. "What explanation do I have to give you?"
"You!" Su Lingyue felt that this guy had become despicable again. She clenched her teeth. "Shouldn't you give me a reasonable explanation for why you came to our academy to be an advanced teacher? Also, where did you get that Inferno Dragon? "
"Why should I give you an explanation?" Su Ping smiled. There was a hint of mockery in his voice.
Su Lingyue could tell from Su Ping's tone that he was condescending. She pulled a long face as she remembered Su Ping's demeanor in the academy. She bit her teeth. "You must have awakened a long time ago!"
That was the question she wanted to ask the most.
Su Ping didn't deny it.
Su Lingyue had gotten her answer from the look on Su Ping's face. Her chest heaved up and down. "Given the strength of your Little Skeleton, you should have been able to fight against me a long time ago, right?"
She felt her cheeks were burning up when she said "fight against me". Her Phantom Flame Beast was no match for that skeleton, not to mention the Inferno Dragon. Once the Inferno Dragon entered the growth stage, it would be able to crush her Phantom Flame Beast.
As a matter of fact, she knew that she was no match for Su Ping. Still, she found it hard to admit it in front of Su Ping.
Su Ping found the girl's reaction both annoying and adorable. What a troublesome sister.
"Yes." Su Ping had to admit that the Little Skeleton had been able to defeat her for a long time.
Even though she already knew the answer, Su Lingyue still felt complicated when she heard Su Ping admit it in person.
He could have defeated her a long time ago. So, why didn't he show it?
She had bullied him so many times, scared him every morning, and taunted him. Why didn't he fight back?
Su Lingyue couldn't think of an answer. Or, to put it another way, she had an answer, but she felt it was a bit dreamy and she refused to believe it.
Su Ping could not tell what was on her mind. He waited for a few minutes. Seeing that she didn't respond, he said grumpily, "If there's nothing else, get out. Don't disturb my cultivation."
Su Lingyue came back to her senses. She gazed into Su Ping's eyes and left without saying anything else.
Su Ping had thought that she would keep asking about the Inferno Dragon. He didn't expect that she would let it go just like that. Surprised, he was happy to relax and went back to his cultivation.
Time flew while he was cultivating. The night was over.
Su Ping got up early in the morning. He went downstairs and sat down at the dining table. It was then that he noticed that Su Lingyue was nowhere to be seen. Usually, she would get up earlier than him.
Did she run away from home because she was too upset?
Su Ping raised his eyebrows. He used his astral powers to sense upstairs. He was relieved to find that there were astral powers in Su Lingyue's room. She was sleeping in.
That was fine.
Su Ping wolfed down his breakfast quickly. He stuffed a bun into his mouth, said goodbye to his mom, and left on his bike.
Not long after he left, a person suddenly appeared at the stairs. It was Su Lingyue.
But she didn't get up late. She had put on a coat and was ready to go at any time.
Su Lingyue's eyes flickered as she watched Su Ping leave. She couldn't figure out Su Ping's strength and the origin of the Inferno Dragon. She knew that Su Ping wouldn't tell her anything even if she asked him in person.
She thought hard all night. Finally, she decided that it was the weekend and the academy was on holiday. She would become a private detective and solve this mystery.
"Mom, I'm going."
Su Lingyue quickly grabbed a bun from the basket on the table and ran out of the house.
"Slow down … Hey, aren't you on holiday today?"
When Li Qingru came back to her senses and walked out of the kitchen, Su Lingyue was nowhere to be seen.
Li Qingru found it strange. She murmured to herself and went back to the kitchen.
After all, Su Lingyue wasn't a kid anymore. She couldn't have lost herself.
Su Lingyue rode on the electric bike her mom used to buy groceries and dashed toward Su Ping's store. Along the way, she used her astral powers to detect Su Ping's scent. She was secretly pleased with herself.
"Let's see what secrets you're hiding!"
Half an hour later.
Su Ping arrived at the store.
When he was dozens of meters away from the store, Su Ping saw many people standing outside. All of them seemed to be young people.
Su Ping also saw many familiar faces; they were returning customers from the previous days.
Su Ping was surprised. There were too many people there. Was it because of the fame he gained from his lectures?
Some sharp-eyed students saw Su Ping. They came to greet him in surprise, not fearing that they would be hit by Su Ping's bike.
Su Ping was speechless. He braked at once.
"Mr. Su, you're finally here."
"I've been waiting for you. Mr. Su, do you still remember me?"
"Mr. Su, can you still train my pets today?"
The crowd swarmed over.
Su Ping was almost blocked. He had to say, "Make way. Let's stick to the old rules. Line up first."
Only after Su Ping said so did the crowd calm down and let Su Ping pass.
Su Ping locked up his bike in case someone stole it because there were too many people around.
If someone could read Su Ping's mind, they would vomit blood.
Su Ping took out his key and opened the door. Immediately, some nimble students squatted down and helped him push the door open. They didn't forget to grin at Su Ping, very attentive.
Su Ping went into the store and said to the crowd, "Line up. Come in order."
He glanced at the number of people. There were twenty or thirty of them. He quickly calculated the income. If he trained more middle-rank pets, he could earn ten or twenty thousand energy points.
He was in high spirits early in the morning. He asked the first person in line, "Name, phone number. Do you want training or what?"
"Sir, it's me, Zhang Baoxing. I want training," the young man in line said to Su Ping.
Su Ping remembered him. Zhang Baoxing had come to his store twice, both times with middle-rank pets. This time was the third time. Su Ping had earned three thousand energy points from Zhang Baoxing alone.
"Good. You're early," Su Ping said.
He remembered that Zhang Baoxing was also the first person in line last time. He didn't expect that he would be the first person in line again.
Zhang Baoxing grinned. "Sir, I got up at five o 'clock in the morning to line up."
Su Ping was surprised. Five o 'clock in the morning. The sun had just risen.
The people in line behind Zhang Baoxing were astonished. They had thought that they were early enough to arrive at seven o 'clock. It turned out that Zhang Baoxing had arrived at five o' clock.
Many people were stunned, but they also secretly remembered this time. Next time, if they woke up earlier, they would be ranked first.
"Pay up." Su Ping wrote down the young man's name and contact information and began to charge him.
Zhang Baoxing was familiar with the process. He immediately transferred one hundred thousand to Su Ping with a smile. Then, he summoned his Pyro Canine again.
