Report

At that moment, there were a few loud booms. The trucks had been smashed into a mess! Metal parts flew everywhere as glass splattered everywhere. There was a cacophony of sounds.

When Monkey saw this scene, he exchanged looks with Lu Xiaoya. They could see the shock and fear in each other's eyes! They were not shocked by the accident but by Fangzheng's words! Back then, Fangzheng had exhorted them to maintain a distance when they encountered the four trucks. Clearly, he had predicted everything! If not, he would not have said such a thing to them!

Thinking of the consequences if they did not listen to Fangzheng …

Lu Xiaoya said carefully, "Monkey, what would have happened if you had continued speeding up?"

Monkey gulped and said, "Don't say it. If not for Master, I would have definitely accelerated to overtake them and shake off Fatty and company. But if I had done that, I would definitely have been caught in the truck. Then … the both of us would have been meat patties. "

With this in mind, Lu Xiaoya's face turned pale.

Monkey suddenly jolted to his senses and shouted, "Quick, get off the truck. Don't stay in the truck. It's equally dangerous to stop on the highway. Go to the safety belt by the side. Quickly call the police! I'll put up a warning sign to prevent the truck behind from crashing into us … "

Lu Xiaoya obediently went to call the police. Monkey also began getting busy.

And at that moment, Fatty, Ruan Ying, and Jiang Ting were dumbfounded. When they saw the four trucks carrying coal and recalled Monkey's speed, they looked at each other as though they had seen a ghost. They said in unison, "Master, he's godly!"

Fatty slapped himself. "I'm really silly. Master is so godly. The temple must be even more efficacious! I should have made a wish. At the very least, I should have offered some incense and thrown some incense money. Sigh … "

"Achoo!" Fangzheng sneezed and mumbled, "Who's talking about me?"

"Ding! Congratulations, you have saved another two lives. Now, you have two chances at the draw. Do you want to begin? "

"Yes! It'll be a waste not to draw. I can't have children if I keep it, "said Fangzheng immediately.

"Ding! Congratulations on obtaining a White Lunar Monk Robe, "said the System.

"Monk robe? Oh my Buddha, System, do you also find my monk robes too tattered? Are you giving me some meat? "Fangzheng said with a smile. He could not leave the mountain, so changing his clothes was definitely a problem. Even if he had money, he would not be able to buy other clothes. Furthermore, the monastery only had worn-out clothes. To be honest, he did not fancy clothes that had been sewing and mending for three years.

After all, he was a young man, and he wanted to look prettier.

However, compared to clothes, Fangzheng was more interested in obtaining some impressive powers, such as the Heavenly Eye or the magical ability to communicate with animals. Such powers exceeded the mortal realm and appeared more impressive. Therefore, he felt a little disappointed.

As soon as he finished speaking, a monk's robe fell into his hand.

It was a white monastic robe made of an unknown material. It was neither thin nor thick, but it felt very nice to the touch. It even gave off a faint fragrance. The smell wasn't strong, and if one didn't pay attention, one would easily overlook it. However, if one were to carefully experience it, they would have a different feeling. It smelled a little like lamp oil, a little like books, and a little like sunlight. In short, it was very comfortable.

However, Fangzheng was still very curious. He had heard from One Finger that monk robes had different colors and seams. They were not meant to be worn casually! He had heard of brown, red, blackish-red, yellow, and gray monastic robes, but he had never seen a white monastic robe! Furthermore, shouldn't monastic robes avoid pure colors?

Fangzheng was puzzled as he asked, "System, are you sure you didn't take the wrong robe? Look at this robe. It's clearly not right! According to what I know, there are three types of monastic robes. One is a tiny robe sewn with five pieces of cloth. It's commonly known as the Five Robes. It's worn when cleaning.

The first is an inner robe sewn with seven pieces of cloth. It's commonly known as the Seven Robes. It's worn during ordinary times.

The second is an overcoat sewn with nine to twenty-five pieces of cloth. It's commonly known as the Ancestral Robe. It's worn when going out or meeting elders.

The three are collectively known as the Kasaya. Of course, the red one draped over it is also known as the Kasaya. However, this monk robe of yours is odd. It's not a tiny robe, nor is it a Seven Robe, nor is it an overcoat. It seems to be in between the Seven Robes and the overcoat.

Furthermore, the color isn't right either!

If I remember correctly, the Kasaya should be the name of a color. It's because Buddhist monks have to wear dyed robes. They avoid using the five main colors of green, yellow, red, white, and black. Instead, they use a mixed color, which is the color of the Kasaya. In our country, the color of the Kasaya is red. Southern Buddhist scriptures say that it's an orange-yellow color. It might be a mixture of red and yellow.

According to the records, after Buddhism was split into different sects in India, the colors of the various sects' robes were different. Some were red, some were yellow, and some were greenish-black magnolia. However, my family's old man once said that it was all nonsense. In the real India in the sixth century, the various sects' robes were actually red. The so-called greenish-black magnolia was only a tiny difference.

As for Myanmar, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Cambodia, Laos, India, and Nepal, their monastic robes were all yellow. The only difference was the shade.

The Kasaya of our country's Han monks is red. The Five Robes and Seven Robes are typically yellow.

The Mongolian and Tibetan monks' Kasaya is yellow. The undercoat they usually drape is red.

The northern climate is cold, and there aren't enough three robes for monks. Therefore, the monks on our side wear another kind of ordinary robe under the Kasaya. This kind of ordinary robe is slightly modified from the clothes of the ancient laymen. The Ming Emperor once set a rule for the color of the ordinary robes. The ordinary robes of Zen monks are brown, the preaching monks are blue, and the Vinaya monks are black. After the Qing Dynasty, there weren't any official rules. However, ever since the revival of the Vinaya monasteries in the early Qing Dynasty, the ordinary monk's ordinary robes are yellow.

Burmese Buddhists are especially afraid of wearing black. This is because in ancient Burma, there was a type of heretical monk who wore black and did many illegal things. Later on, it was strictly forbidden.

Mongolian and Tibetan believers are also afraid of wearing black.

In addition, of all the colors you gave me, you just had to give me white, and it's a pure color!

My family's old man once said that Buddhism has rules for monastic robes. First, the color is not allowed to be colored or pure. Second, all new clothes must have a spot that is dotted with another color. This is to destroy the neatness of the clothes and prevent greedy people from wearing it. This is called 'bad color' or 'dotting cleanliness'.

I've searched through all the relevant things in my mind, but I've never seen anyone use white as a monastic robe! "

It was true that Fangzheng's studies weren't good. However, when it came to the rules of Buddhism, he knew a lot. This was because Zen Master One Finger was a rule-abiding person. From a young age, Fangzheng had been nagged by Zen Master One Finger about all sorts of rules. Even a pig could recite them backwards.
