"Okay!" Lin Nuan looked at Tuan Tuan, who was looking up at her. She tightened her grip on her phone and tried to be polite. "What time are you coming over? I'll pack up Tuan Tuan's things."

Lin Nuan could vaguely hear Fu Huai 'an's assistant calling out to Mr. Fu, followed by the sound of a pen scratching against paper.

"If everything goes well, I'll be there at 10: 30." Fu Huai 'an's tone was calm.

Lin Nuan could tell that he was still busy, so she replied, "Okay."

Fu Huai 'an was always punctual, but he didn't call at 10: 40 that day.

She recalled that Fu Huai 'an said that if everything went smoothly, he would pick up the child at 10: 30. Lin Nuan frowned and wondered if something had gone wrong.

She wanted to call Fu Huai 'an to tell him that Tuan Tuan was asleep and ask him to pick him up the next day, but she wasn't his real mother and had no right to leave someone else's child with her.

On the sofa, Tuan Tuan was so sleepy that he had already closed his eyes. He was covered with a small blanket, and his head was resting next to Lin Nuan's legs, sleeping soundly. His fair little face was illuminated by the TV screen.

Song Yao and Bai Xiaonian had also fallen asleep.

Song Yao had been in a bad mood for the past few days and was sleepy. Bai Xiaonian had a live broadcast the next morning and had to wake up at 3, so she had to sleep early.

Lin Nuan hadn't washed up yet. She sat on the sofa absent-mindedly switching channels with the remote control.

At 10: 50, Lin Nuan finally received a call from Fu Huai 'an saying that he was downstairs.

Lin Nuan couldn't bear to wake Tuan Tuan up, so she wrapped the blanket around him and carried him up. His eyelashes fluttered a few times before he fell asleep again in Lin Nuan's arms.

Lin Nuan couldn't bear to call Fu Huai 'an and ask him to pick Tuan Tuan up the next day. However, she was afraid that Fu Huai' an would misunderstand that she had ulterior motives if she called him. After much deliberation, Lin Nuan wrapped Tuan Tuan in her sweater before heading downstairs.

At the entrance of the building, a black car was parked under a street light. Fu Huai 'an was standing in the front passenger seat with a cigarette in his mouth. He had one hand in his pocket and was looking through emails on his phone.

He was wearing a navy blue suit and a white shirt. He didn't wear a tie, and the collar of his crisp shirt was open. The light from the phone screen shone on his deep facial features and Adam's apple, making him look even more mature.

Even though Fu Huai 'an's tall and slender figure was just standing there casually, the powerful and noble aura around him couldn't be ignored.

Lin Nuan walked out of the elevator with the child in her arms. She saw Fu Huai 'an standing next to the car and paused in her steps. She took a deep breath and adjusted her emotions before walking towards him.

As if sensing something, Fu Huai 'an raised his head, his dark and deep gaze looking towards Lin Nuan.

Seeing that she was hugging Tuan Tuan, Fu Huai 'an locked his phone screen and put it in his trouser pocket. He strode up the stairs, put out the remaining half of his cigarette and threw it into the trash can. He then opened the door for Lin Nuan.

After getting closer, Lin Nuan could clearly see that there was some fatigue in Fu Huai 'an's deep-set eyes, but it didn't affect the intimidating aura he exuded.

Lin Nuan didn't see Fu Huai 'an's assistant. She was wondering how Fu Huai' an was going to bring the sleeping Tuan Tuan back by himself. She wondered if she should ask Tuan Tuan to stay for the night.

"How about …"

"You sit in the back with Tuan Tuan in your arms."

Without giving Lin Nuan a chance to speak, Fu Huai 'an's deep voice was firm.
