After washing up, Qiao Anhao came out of the bathroom just as Lu Jinnian pushed open the bedroom door.
The bathroom door was right next to the bedroom door. Qiao Anhao and Lu Jinnian bumped into each other. Her body trembled slightly. Instinctively, she wanted to raise her head to look at him, but she didn't have the courage to do so. In the end, she lowered her head and quickly walked into the bedroom.
Lu Jinnian glanced at Qiao Anhao's back, then reached his hand out to push open the bathroom door, and walked in.
Qiao Anhao was exhausted from the cold. She walked to the side of the bed and collapsed. Just as she was about to fall asleep, she heard the sound of water coming from the bathroom. That was when she suddenly remembered that Lu Jinnian had gone into the bathroom to wash up. He probably wanted to stay the night.
Qiao Anhao could only struggle up from the bed. She walked to the changing room and carried the big bear out.
She carried the bear, but before she could reach the bed, Lu Jinnian walked out of the bathroom in a bathrobe. He held a towel in his hands and dried his dripping hair with water.
When Lu Jinnian saw the big bear in Qiao Anhao's hands, he paused in the middle of drying his hair. With an indifferent expression, he walked to the vanity table and picked up the hairdryer to blow his hair.
Through the mirror, he saw that Qiao Anhao had placed the bear in the middle of the bed. She lifted the covers and laid down with her back facing the half of the bed.
Lu Jinnian's eyes turned cold, and he couldn't help but increase the speed of the hairdryer. After hastily drying his hair, he forcefully threw the hairdryer on the vanity table, turned around, and coldly swept his gaze over the large bed.
Even though there was a bear in the middle, splitting the bed into two, Qiao Anhao still laid on the outside, almost sticking to the side of the bed to sleep.
Her woman's intuition told her that Lu Jinnian was staring at her. Her body in the covers stiffened, and she couldn't help but bury her face into the pillow. To her surprise, she realized that the pillow was wet. She froze for a while, then remembered that she had been crying in her dreams for a long time before she fell asleep.
Qiao Anhao was well aware that he couldn't be bothered to notice what her pillow looked like, but she was still afraid that he would find out that she had cried, so she silently pulled the pillow under her blanket.
Her small movements fell into Lu Jinnian's eyes, as though she was trying her best to stay as far away from him as possible.
Lu Jinnian stared at Qiao Anhao silently for a long while. His brows flickered, then he turned and walked out of the bedroom.
Qiao Anhao waited until the bedroom door closed before she opened her eyes. She quickly flipped the pillow over and laid back down.
After about five minutes, the bedroom door was pushed open once more. He held a stack of papers in his hands as he walked to the bedside. He glanced down at Qiao Anhao, who had her eyes shut, before throwing the stack of papers onto the bedside table.
