Chapter 235
Words:860Update:22/06/25 07:48:47
Yesterday, I suddenly received a system notification and found out that my book could actually be published. I was really excited.
It has been less than half a year since November 29th last year. Although there is a big gap compared to those great gods, even some of the slightly famous authors are much better than me.
In fact, writing more than 700,000 words to be published is not a good result. I have seen many books in the bookstore that were signed with 200,000 words and published with 300,000 words. Compared to them, my work is much inferior.
When I wanted to start writing novels, I was also influenced by those great gods. On the other hand, it was also fulfilling a dream of mine. When I was studying, I wanted to write a book, but at that time, I could only copy a lot of the plot and scenes from Hong Kong martial arts novels.
When it came to work, the people around me were all busy, and very few people would calm down to write something. After experiencing a lot of things, I found that many of the situations around me were very similar to novels to some extent. It was because of this that I had the idea to stop and write something.
I think a lot of authors want to write and express themselves. They want to show another side of themselves to others. Or those similar dreams that they had in the past to express themselves from another perspective.
Until the appearance of the online novel platform, I found that there was a group of writers with dreams here. To be able to express what I want in a different way, isn't this what I want? Here, the readers don't care about your education, work experience, or setbacks. In this platform where I can't see the other party's face, I can have the opportunity to express myself to the fullest.
As a part-time writer, I can only write in my free time after work, so it is inevitable that there will be some omissions in the chapters. In this regard, I also started to take the time to edit.
Originally, after signing the contract, I wanted to lengthen the chapters and make a single chapter look like 6K +. But after I wrote a chapter, I found that it was really difficult to do that every day. After that, I tried to write two 4K + chapters a day, but I obviously felt that the writing wasn't very smooth.
In the end, I returned to the original way and arranged around 3K + words per chapter. Sometimes when the idea is strong, I can put a little more, and there is no need to create anything.
Actually, ideas, or inspiration, were things that flashed through one's mind. It was best to grab hold of it and write it down immediately. Deliberately trying to make up the word count would lose the original intention.
This small progress was all thanks to my perseverance. Actually, there were many times when I felt like I was going to give up. I felt that these things were too difficult. In fact, as long as he persevered through a period of pain, he would find that ideas and inspiration would suddenly flash into his mind.
In fact, the main motivation for me to continue writing is the support of my readers. Here, I would like to thank my loyal reader 'Dante'. Thank you for your godlike advice when I was stuck and lost in thought.
In addition, I would also like to thank my contract editor and editor for impatiently correcting my mistakes during the signing and publishing process.
I would also like to thank the readers who left me valuable comments and pointed out the logical mistakes and shortcomings in my writing.
As the most loyal reward for the readers, I will continue to work hard and make the story more grounded.
Thank you
Chu Feng Nan
