The Abyss.
Through the infinite levels and countless changes, the Abyss was a collection of ugliness, evil, and chaos. The countless levels spiraled downward, culminating in extreme brutality. Traditional knowledge believed that there were 666 levels in the Abyss, although the real number might be much higher. After all, in general, the Abyss was far more terrifying than what traditional knowledge could encompass.
It was an endless, suffocating, and terrifying place.
It was a place where the environment was extremely harsh and life was extremely dangerous.
It was a place where there was no morality or ethics, a place where killing never stopped.
It was an evil place where there was no friendship, family, or love, only betrayal, killing, and destruction.
The Abyss was one of the most terrifying lower planes. It was the home of demons dedicated to death and destruction, and also one of the destinations of chaotic and evil souls.
…
It was hard to describe Chen Feng's current feelings. One had to go back to a month ago. After summoning the Mind Reader, the Order had successfully obtained a batch of experimental subjects from the Abyss.
Demons.
Chen Feng's goal was to train these demons into warriors or battle pets that could be controlled.
Of course, these things were coordinated by the Biochemistry Department and other departments. Chen Feng did not have to do everything personally. Therefore, after this, a thought that had been dormant for a long time began to grow in his mind.
That was plane exploration.
This was a very mysterious, exciting, and dangerous activity.
In every plane, the lowest level of plane exploration required a Gold-rank, and the death rate of this level was as high as 70%. Except for some barren planes, such as the kobolds and goblins, where the majority of living creatures were, a Gold-rank could be considered a role. However, in a place like the Abyss, even a five-man Gold-rank team would be wiped out in minutes.
A Gold-rank participating in plane exploration was like a group of people who dared to climb a snowy mountain in a down jacket. Rather than calling it courage, it was more appropriate to call it stupidity!
With Chen Feng's cautiousness, he naturally would not rashly explore other planes when he was still a Gold-rank. It could be said that this was simply a gamble with no chance of winning. It was almost as if a small danger could cause him to fall into eternal damnation.
However, it was different now. Chen Feng had become a Legendary Master. More importantly, he had some Legendary Summoned Beasts by his side.
Saruman, the Lie Demons, the Fallen Angel, the Mind Reader, and a Legendary Tyrannical Dragon that went berserk.
A five-man Gold Party might still be lacking, but a Legendary-level Party already had the qualifications to explore and even hunt.
The job of [Order] had already been handed over. This was one of the benefits of being a leader. With a faction of several million people operating behind him, even without him, the faction would still be self-sufficient. Most of the time, Chen Feng would act as a spiritual leader.
Chen Feng had already made up his mind.
And its destination was its trump card, the bottomless abyss!
Chen Feng had already advanced to become a Legendary powerhouse, and when he traveled through some other planes, he would also face the obstruction of the Dimensional Wall. However, the Abyss was different. It was a world that he had always been able to communicate with, and it was also what he relied on after the apocalypse.
Under the situation of heavy losses, the Insect World would not be able to recover without more than ten years, so that land was no longer a concern. As for the more distant lands, they were still in the exploration stage. Chen Feng had already ordered the formation of a new exploration team to go to more distant areas to search for traces of humans.
In this vast world, apart from the Chinese, there were still a lot of other countries. Heroes were born of circumstances. In this world, Order was not the only city that had survived. As such, Chen Feng had never given up on exploring the outside world.
However, one thing that he had to admit was that Order was now invincible in the surrounding thousands of miles. Any monsters or forces that were enemies of Order had become nourishment for Order's daily growth. Without the invasion of Dimensional Masters, Order would pass a few years of stability.
Everything was ready except for the east wind.
Under such circumstances, Chen Feng used more than half a month to prepare some daily necessities. Just a few minutes ago, he had completed this exploration operation.
Chen Feng had a lot of choices. In general, there were four areas: the Bone Plain, Phra's Fortress, the Legendary Inferno Demon's Fortress, and the Underdark where Erwin was.
There was no need to consider the Bone Plain. After all, when Nara's clone was destroyed, he threatened to personally go to the Bone Plain for revenge. Even if Saruman was now a Legendary, it was still not enough to face the wrath of an evil god. Unless Chen Feng was tired of living, he would not go to such a place to seek a challenge.
As for the Demon's Fortress of Phra and the Legendary Inferno Demon, Chen Feng thought about it and chose to give up. After all, the demon's land indicated that it was desolate. Other than blindly exploring, the possibility of obtaining opportunities was almost zero.
After thinking about it, perhaps Erwin's Underdark was the only choice.
After making a choice, Chen Feng officially began the exploration of the plane. After a few minutes of dreamlike psychedelic experience, he finally came to this familiar yet strange plane.
Bottomless Abyss, Underdark.
In the whistling wind, a figure covered in a cloak appeared here. Chen Feng looked at the strange environment around him, his eyes full of curiosity and caution.
Underdark.
Deformed and evil creatures lived here to avoid the sun. The Underdark was filled with cities and countries of Derro Dwarves, Dark Elves, Grey Dwarves, and Mind Flayers. This was also the home of some rarer races, such as the Demonic Fish, Beholders, and Koutoans, as well as some intelligent humanoid slaves from the surface.
Capital: None
Population: Unknown
Races: Demonic Fish, Dormant Monsters, Dark Elves, Grey Dwarves, Spirit-Sucking Monsters, Swamp Bearmen, Subterranean Gnomes
Government: City States. Every city has different forms of government (Dictatorship, Matriarchy, Monarchy, Theocracy, and others)
Religion: Various. Usually, there are ancestral temples.
Imports: Armour, food, slaves, wood, weapons.
Exports: Armour, strange goods, magic, weapons.
Alignment: Neutral, Lawful Evil, Chaotic Evil
These evil races fought and traded with each other for resources, magic, and power. When their schemes were exposed or a better opportunity came, their alliances would fall apart. Gnomes, Subterranean Gnomes, Dwarves, and other neutral or good races had enclaves scattered between these hostile cities. They maintained isolation or resisted the invasion of their evil neighbors.
War, conquest, decline, and collapse formed a similar cycle for the countries of the Underdark. Cities fought with each other for wealth, resources, slaves, or generations of hatred. Stable empires gradually declined, or suffered from countless continuous small conflicts and exhausted their strength.
Failed empires fell apart, sometimes from within, sometimes from the enemy's weapons. Groups of survivors from ruined cities found a suitable environment, started from scratch, and eventually built a new city.
For surface adventurers, just entering the Underdark and being able to come back and talk about what happened was an achievement worth recording.
The Underdark was a barren world. There were two overriding principles here: survival and destruction. Most of the Underdark was eternal darkness, full of creatures that couldn't adapt to true light. To compensate, they have long since evolved to see with their own eyes, or enhanced senses. Glowstones, luminous crystals, and phosphorescent moss, lichen, and fungi dimly illuminated some places.
Strange plants were very common. If visitors didn't use magic or do potentially fatal experiments, it was almost impossible to identify which ones were hostile and which ones were poisonous. Because there was no rain in the Underdark, fresh water was the most precious resource. Residents had to rely on any filter from the surface. Those who found water would store it and protect it with their lives.
Because of the scarcity of reliable resources, every city would make a few specialties in peacetime to trade with neighboring cities. A typical caravan would include dozens of heavily armed merchants and soldiers, and two or three would be sent to patrol the front or back during the journey. Although the tunnel was usually silent, the echoes traveled far.
This huge plane, with countless monsters and races living in it, was just one level of the Abyss. It could be seen that the Abyss gave birth to many terrifying powerhouses!
The ruler of this land was Lolth, whom Chen Feng was familiar with.
A fallen elf of the past.
As the ruler of a plane, Lolth believed in her doctrine: the strong were respected, the survival of the fittest!
Therefore, this plane wasn't like the plane ruled by the Jackal Duke, where the Jackals were the rulers, and all other creatures were treated as slaves and food!
In the Underdark, other than the dark elves, there were cities of other races, such as the gray dwarves and some beholders, who also had the right to build cities here.
Lolth had a distorted understanding of power. In her view, if some dark elves were not strong enough and were captured, she wouldn't interfere.
This meant that in this territory that was originally ruled by Lolth, in some dark corners, there was even an underground trade of dark elven slaves.
Those ugly dwarves and even underground gnomes would buy some dark elves at a high price. There was no mercy in the Abyss. As slaves who had lost their freedom, those beautiful dark elves would be subjected to endless torture and ravages.
This was the Abyss.
This was the Underdark.
A world that only believed in the fist.
If you were strong enough, you could enjoy pleasure here that even heaven couldn't compare to. But if you were just a pitiful worm without much strength, then you would be coveted by some slave traders. Once you were captured, what awaited you would be countless times crueler than hell.
