The Bottomless Abyss was a collection of all ugliness, evil, and chaos through infinite levels and countless changes. As the countless levels spiraled downward, it was the ultimate brutality. Traditional knowledge believed that there were 666 levels in the Bottomless Abyss, although the real number might be much higher. After all, on the whole, the Bottomless Abyss was far more terrifying than what traditional knowledge could encompass.
The animals and plants in the Abyss were aggressive, and the main intelligent life forms were all kinds of demons.
There were many races of demons, and different Abyss Planes often had different unique demons. Their body structures were completely different, and they had different abilities, but most of them had better melee skills than humans, and could use various spells.
Demons were irritable, malicious, arbitrary, violent, without a sense of morality, and unpredictable. They were dedicated to destroying and destroying everything (including their own kind), and took it as their lifelong pleasure. They often invaded other planes, bringing destruction and fear. They resisted order, and even the Lords of the Abyss could not make them do things in an orderly manner. Unless they were controlled by magic, they could never be united, and they could not act in a planned way. Their ideas would be overturned in the next moment. They were powerful and evil lunatics.
Worms: the initial stage of demons, and the favorite food of demons.
Worms could not evolve, and then they could grow to the size of a dragon (provided that they were not eaten or killed before that).
If they evolved (larvae could evolve by killing and devouring each other), they would change into other demons according to the region and the individual situation, such as Lie Demons, Ross Worms, and other small demons.
Demons could choose whether to evolve or not. They could stay in their original demon form to strengthen themselves, or they could continue to evolve. The evolution process of demons was not unique.
Demons in the Bottomless Abyss saw visitors as a source of food or entertainment. Some demons saw powerful visitors as potential recruits (whether they were willing or not), and trapped them in the never-ending war between demons and devils (who lived in the Nine Hells) – the Blood War.
The Bottomless Abyss had more levels than anyone could imagine, whether mortals or gods. Some of the most famous levels were described below.
Except for the environmental conditions of some levels, vision in the Bottomless Abyss was normal. In addition, unless otherwise noted, hellish suns, phantom-like red lights, or similar uncomfortable lights shone on all levels of the Bottomless Abyss.
Each level of the Bottomless Abyss had its own unique and terrifying environment. Apart from their harsh and barren nature, it was impossible to use a single tone to cover all the diverse aspects. There might be lakes with corrosive acid, poisonous smoke, caves with razor-sharp spikes, and scorching lava in this place. There were also less deadly terrains, such as scorching salty deserts, poisonous breezes, and insect-infested plains.
As the first of these levels, the Ten Thousand Abyss Plains was undoubtedly the region with the largest population and the widest food chain.
Ten Thousand Abyss Plains.
At the top of countless levels of the Bottomless Abyss. This was a barren land that was devoid of life and covered in thick dust. It was roasted under the dark red sun that was like hell. There were three landforms in the dusty plains: a huge abyss on the surface, a huge steel fortress, and the River Styx.
The abysses on the top floor were entrances to deeper levels. By descending along certain Abysses, the traveler would soon arrive at the relevant level, though it was extremely dangerous to simply jump into an Abyssal Abyss that led to an unfamiliar plane. Most of the Abysses had two-way entrances, but some were one-way, abandoning the traveler who was trapped in the new level.
The steel fortresses here were usually inhabited by powerful demons and their minions. These fortresses were often used as gathering points for the demon army on their way to the never-ending bloody war. Some of the largest battles in that war took place in the deeper levels, as well as the nearby outer planes.
The River Styx meandered through this level. Some rivers flowed into the Abyssal Abyss, while other Abyssal Abyss spewed out sewage, acting as tributaries to the River Styx.
As a vast plane, many dark creatures made their living here. Apart from the demons unique to the Abyssal Abyss, skeleton warriors, liches, minotaurs, and shepherds also made their living here.
Although the environment was harsh, there were too many camps of various sizes scattered across the vast land. Due to the lack of both the environment and food, killing was a very common situation.
In such an environment, there was no such thing as meat. To a demon, other than its own kind, other shepherds and minotaurs could be tasted as food.
To the minotaurs, demons were also delicious food. Compared to the rotting corpses found in the wild, the flesh of a lustful demon was the most delicious delicacy.
Staying out of harm's way.
It wasn't suitable in such an environment. When faced with provocation, there were only two paths to take. One, defeat, cripple, or kill the opponent! Two, be defeated by the opponent, be crippled, or kill the opponent.
There was no morality or ethics, and it was a land of endless killing.
That was killing.
However, no matter where it was, there would always be some exceptions. Just like how even the most prestigious schools would have some criminals.
In the Abyssal Abyss, there would occasionally be some races that didn't live by killing.
The cat race.
They were a type of half-beastman.
Half-beastmen were irritable and gloomy. They would rather act than think. They would rather fight than argue. However, the successful half-beastmen had enough self-control to survive in civilized areas, unlike those crazy fellows. Half-beastmen liked simple pleasures, such as banquets, drinking, bragging, singing, wrestling, drumming, and wild dancing. Cultured pleasures such as poetry, elegant dancing, and philosophy were unattractive to them. In appropriate gatherings, half-beastmen were talents.
Beastmen liked scars. They saw scars from battle as a symbol of honor, and decorative scars as beautiful things. Any half-beastman living among or around the orcs had scars. They were either marks of humiliation that marked enslavement and the former halfling master's identity, or marks of glory that represented conquest and high status.
The half-beastmen that represented this character were lizardmen, gnolls, and some existence with ferocious beast genes.
The cat race was an anomaly among the orcs. They weren't bloodthirsty or cruel. Except when life was at stake, they rarely even attacked the enemy.
Perhaps it had something to do with their character. They loved peace, but in the Abyssal Abyss, this was obviously attributed to cowardice.
Unlike the cowardly Goblins, the cowardice of the Felines was manifested in hiding and concealing. When a disaster occurred, the first thing they thought about was not how to resist, but how to avoid the enemy's invasion as quickly as possible.
This was very passive.
As a result, when a battle broke out, once the cat race was caught by the enemy, it indicated that there was a possibility of extinction.
The cat race in the Abyssal Abyss was very rare. The harsh environment was one of the reasons, and the malice from the surrounding neighbors was also the main reason.
As the companion of the half-beastmen, the gnolls especially liked to invade this kind of cowardly race. They would kill strong men and weak children, then capture the female cat race as their slaves and abuse them day and night.
This was a kind of experience that couldn't be lived like this.
Very few captives could return to the camp alive. Not long after they were captured, their bodies were ravaged, and once the novelty wore off, it indicated that they might be killed alive.
There was very little food on this barren plain.
Occasionally, some animals could be seen, but they had all been demonized. Even a mouse had dark red pupils and sharp fangs.
A cat race's camp.
This was a tribe with only about six hundred people. In the Abyssal Abyss, this level of tribe was not even considered average. Among them, it was rare to see any older companions.
Where did they go?
The lack of food and the approaching battle were the reasons for the disappearance of those old people. Old meant that they lost the strength to pick up weapons, and this also led to the tragedy.
Abandoned and brought up the rear.
Of course, they would not be thrown outside for no reason. Only when the clansmen needed them would these abandoned people bring their own luggage and silently walk into the distance.
Hundreds of cat race members gathered together.
This was a very rare scene.
Phra stood in the crowd, as if waiting for something.
This boxing master, who could calmly twist the head of a berserk demon, seemed a little anxious at this moment. She looked left and right from time to time, and her pair of jade-like hands seemed to have nowhere to put. She did not know where to place them.
Everyone was waiting.
Waiting. That long-awaited promise.
Phra shared with her clansmen what she had seen and heard in the human world. In her imagination, it was a world full of sunshine and hope. Although there were many monsters, as long as they worked hard, even the lowest survivors could eat a mouthful of food. Just this point alone was like a place of heaven for the cat race.
Did it really exist?
Some people were full of curiosity.
"Look!"
Anxiously waiting, they received a reply. Just when everyone had been in this position for a certain period of time, a black thin crack suddenly appeared beside Phra.
This thin crack was like a ray of sunlight in the morning, slowly cutting through the darkness. In just a few seconds, a door appeared in front of everyone's eyes.
Then, some aid that had been packed long ago was sent to the ground. This was a whole bag of rice. After simple washing and steaming, it could be made into rice. Although the taste was not very good, as long as it could save lives, it was enough.
It was not just a bag. Under Truman's research, the production of rice greatly increased. The entire economic zone alone had as much as a hundred thousand catties of rice, and this did not include other vegetables, fruits, and insect meat.
With such a huge amount of food, Chen Feng would be able to support a war that would take a long time. That was because he had the ability to do so.
More than two hundred bags of rice were sent to this dimension filled with killing in a short period of time. After the rice was sent, bags of potatoes were also sent over.
Then, some snacks, drinks, warm supplies, and finally some guns, ammunition, and forged weapons were all sent over from this dimension.
In less than fifteen minutes, the entire square was filled with these supplies.
Phra bent down, cut open a bag, and took out a bag of snacks with biscuits. She gently tore it, and the bag was torn. Then, she took out a biscuit and waved at the little girl beside her.
The little girl did not look very old. The hair on the top of her head was orange. When she saw Phra, her ears stood up a little, and her tail hung obediently at the side.
An orphan.
Like her, this girl called Flower's parents died in a battle. Perhaps because they were in the same boat, Phra usually took care of her.
The little girl timidly took a few steps forward and looked at Phra. When she saw the other party's affirmative gaze, she picked up the biscuit and put it in her mouth.
The biscuit melted in her mouth.
The little girl suddenly widened her eyes. She felt like she was dreaming because she had never eaten such sweet food before.
In the past, when the camp lacked food, they did not hesitate to catch worms. The taste of a fat worm was imaginable.
Some people also smelled the biscuit's fragrance. They leaned forward and looked at Phra in confusion.
She did not care about the gazes of the tribesmen.
Phra's gaze was completely attracted by the aid in front of her. Master did not lie to her. In fact, the supplies in front of her had exceeded her initial expectations.
Food.
With this food, the tribesmen would no longer have to take the risk of hunting outside. The older tribesmen would no longer have to commit suicide to reduce the burden of the tribe.
Patting the little girl's head, Phra walked in front of a wooden box. She raised her fist and the box was opened, revealing dozens of strengthened guns.
"Bring it up!"
Phra ordered.
As the guardian of the tribe, she had absolute authority.
A short while later, a tied-up dog-headed man was brought up. This ugly creature with a rosacea nose was still somewhat unrestrained. Perhaps it was because he was certain that he would be able to defeat the felines, but his mouth was constantly clamoring, mostly about enslavement and revenge.
"Noisy!"
A trace of impatience flashed across Phra's face. She raised the gun, pointed it at the kobold, and pressed the trigger. Three actions were done in one go. Following that, there was a loud bang. The kobold's head was blown up, and he died instantly.
The feline tribesmen around them gasped. They were obviously shocked by what they saw!
Phra glanced at the people around her, then raised the gun high and said in an unquestionable tone, "Fight! We want to take back everything that belongs to us! "
