He had noticed a little eagle that had dug a hole to sneak into the kitchen!
There was sunlight above the ice cellar. The higher parts must be connected to the eagles' nests. The entrance must be guarded by powerful eagles. It seemed like the adult Frosty Ancient Eagles did not expect anyone to sneak into their kitchens. The children had dug a small tunnel in the kitchens to reach the eggs' nest.
Unlike the little eagles that had hatched, the eggs were placed neatly in a pool of water. The pool was covered in a thin layer of ice. The eggs were like pebbles frozen under the surface of a clear lake.
