Within a short span of time, Zi's barely orderly party had been annihilated. Of the four Heavenly Kings under her, two had perished and two had betrayed her. From being the party leader, she had become a loner, and had to face the vile predicament of being hunted down by her former subordinates.
In such a dismal situation, if it was anyone else, they would've long succumbed. Unfortunately, Zi's newly awakened ability was coincidentally suited for such a predicament! In her heart, there was only a single thought – to survive. To stubbornly and unyieldingly survive. The enmity of Archeaphill and Demondream was still waiting for her. As long as she was alive, then anything was possible!
The wind howled. Sable's hand was now gripping onto an exceedingly malevolent and mournful bone saber. This weapon was shaped like a wild beast's vertebrae. As it danced, it emitted black fumes. Because the vertebrae could rip apart the air, it would occasionally emit horrifying shrieks.
At present, he leapt up expressionlessly, before viciously chopping down towards Zi.
Due to Sable's exceedingly swift brandishing of his saber, the dreadful saber tore through the air and emitted a piercing shriek. It was as though the mournful wails of all the vengeful spirits that had perished by this weapon, could be described as gaining the upper hand by a show of strength.
Facing Sable's assault, Zi coldly pointed with her left hand. Her lips pursed tightly, as a transparent object congealed in mid-air and welcomed Sable.
'Force Barrier Wall'!
Sable's lips curled into a sneer of ridicule.
All of a sudden, two sharp curved fangs shot out from the hilt of his dreadful saber and bit into his palms.
Instantly, two cyan veins burst out from Sable's palms. Following that, one could observe Sable's flesh and life essence flowing into the vertebrae saber. The saber abruptly ignited with black flames, as it heavily smashed against the incoming 'Force Barrier Wall'!
When the 'Force Barrier Wall' collided with the vertebrae saber, the black flames instantly crept onto the 'Force Barrier Wall' and rapidly combusted.
Under the illumination of the flames, one could observe numerous intricate patterns on the 'Force Barrier Wall', which formed into a large mysterious symbol. It appeared to be the symbol of an empire in 'Star Wars'. Under the incessant burning of the flames, the large symbol rapidly materialized in mid-air, before tightly wrapping around the vertebrae saber! It wanted to forcefully sever the momentum of this slash!
Instead, Sable let out a loud roar, as two more fangs sprung out from the hilt of his vertebrae saber, biting deeply into the back of his hand. In a flash, the black flames on the saber's blade frantically surged out, directly igniting that bizarre large symbol! Boom! The symbol ignited into a black-blue blaze!
With such a delay, Zi had successfully retreated. Her eyes were the typical type of phoenix eyes, and her brows were slightly hooked upwards. Her exquisite countenance was enhanced with a hint of grace and baleful aura. When Zi glared at Sable, a surge of murderous intent flashed through her eyes. Yet just as Zi was about to flee into a nearby alley, several straight brown spikes abruptly pierced out from the ground without any warning!
The originally supple brown roots rapidly solidified in mid-air, before turning sharp and black. The pitch-black roots transformed into sharp thorns that pierced towards Zi's slender waist!
Although Zi didn't appear to have the slightest bit of defense, when those perfectly straight thorns were about to pierce into her body, time seemed to have frozen and slowed down. Like a slow-motion movie, one could distinctly observe those sharp thorns meeting with a tremendous obstruction in mid-air. Following that, a layer of translucent armour gradually surfaced around Zi's body, protecting her from the invasion of this mysterious sneak attack.
On the surface of the translucent armor, there were still many fine lines that were constantly moving about, forming the special symbol of the Emperor out of thin air!
'Force Spirit Barrier Wall'! Able to defend against an enemy's attack without the owner's knowledge. However, it would reappear for 45 seconds. When it was shattered, there was a fixed probability of inflicting damage to nearby enemies.

"Ai ….." A refined male wearing a pair of golden spectacles appeared. He gazed over from afar from the second floor of a distant building. He was wearing a white western suit with a swallowtail knot. It was indeed Yuan Zhan.
"Lord Zi, don't struggle. Every Poison Needle Cactus I nurture requires 3,000 utility points! Since we're going to die anyway, why not spare us some effort on account of our many battles together? After shattering Zi's protective glowing sphere, Sable's remaining momentum didn't diminish as he heavily chopped down against the steel door pillar of the nearby bar!
Ding! A resounding clang resounded. The vertebrae long saber collided with the steel door pillar, as dozens of resplendent sparks splashed out. That sharp and crisp sound lingered in the air unceasingly, as it pierced into one's heart; causing one to feel as though they were about to vomit blood. Following that, the steel door pillar was chopped into two diagonally. The already heavily damaged bar instantly collapsed with a loud rumble. Rocks and debris were sent flying as dust billowed up, sealing off Zi's escape route! (To be continued.)
