Evidently, Taitish's efforts weren't in vain. At this moment, the space ahead fluctuated violently, as though a water ripple effect was being born. Naturally, no pirate dared to approach.
Following that, the space was torn apart. Rocks transformed into a sandy beach, while seawater and sandy beach transformed into a forest of reefs. That incomparably violent undulation gave off an intense sense of danger.
Within a short span of time, a deep cave entrance emerged before their eyes. This cave was pitch-black, and for some unknown reason, it reminded them of the deep throat of a wild beast, or the digestive tract of a gigantic beast. It was as though one would be devoured by an unfathomable fate, and be digested along with their skin and bones; leaving not a single trace of them in this world.
Taitish's voice was hoarse and exhausted as she spoke.
"I used an unconventional method to open this door that is shielded by black magic. It is very likely that it will only exist for a short period of time. Therefore, if we wish to enter, we have to seize the moment."
Sheyan stared into her eyes and earnestly asked.
"How long can this temporarily opened door of space and time last? I hope your judgement is accurate, because if we don't have a way out by the time we return, then this joke will be too big. I believe you don't wish to be trapped here to your death right? "
Taitish pondered a little, before replying affirmatively.
"It definitely won't be less than 2 hours. But if it exceeds 2 hours, then that's hard to say."
Sheyan nodded and whispered a few words into Reef's ears. Then, Reef led the other two pirates towards the pitch-black cave entrance. Firstly, Reef possessed a trump card that could be awakened at any time. Secondly, one mustn't forget that Sheyan and Reef had acquired a mystical item in the Avatar world – the 'Unmodified Amniotank'. Hence, it definitely wouldn't pose any life-threatening danger. That was why Sheyan dared to let Reef charge forward bravely.

The cave was deep and dense.
Only the sound of dripping water reverberated in their ears.
When they first entered this cavern, the traces of natural erosion were rather obvious. However, as they ventured a few hundred metres deeper, and converged with the rest of the caverns, they could see rather distinct traces of hatchet chiseling. It should be the work of those cursed pirates of the Black Pearl who knew nothing of fatigue and death.
This discovery boosted the morale of the pirates around them. At least, they were on the right path. The pirate's nature was undoubtedly the only motivation for their adventure.
Along the way, Party Ace could be said to be on high alert. Surprisingly, nothing unexpected happened. Could it be that the mechanism set up by those fellows on the Black Pearl had failed? After turning a corner, they could clearly see a hall that could accommodate at least a few hundred people in front of them. This hall was filled with numerous stalactite pillars that obstructed their vision, brimming with a primitive and natural style. On the left and right sides of the hall were two massive stone water vats.
The vats were sculpted into the image of a freak with a large head and small body, raising its head and howling in agony. The freak's gaping mouth was the mouth of the water vats. Within the water vats, a wick as thick as a child's arm was ignited. The bright light illuminated the entire hall, and in this narrow and shady place, the stifling feeling in everyone's heart instantly dissipated. Everyone could feel their bodies relaxing.
Within the water vats, there was a liquid that appeared as clear as water, but was actually viscous like oil. The air was filled with an indescribable odour. At first, it smelled fragrant, but upon careful sniffing, it was rather stuffy, and carried a faint fishy smell.
Blacksail leaned in and sniffed carefully. Then, his face exposed a puzzled expression. After pondering, he dipped his finger into the liquid and tasted it.
"This should be the fats refined from the mermaid's body. This vat of oil can at least keep the lamp burning for 20 years or even longer."
After all, he was an alchemist apprentice for a period of time, and his judgement was acknowledged by others. After passing through this hall, everyone's vision became even brighter. This was because at the front of this hall, there was an even larger empty hall, where four massive oil vats were placed.
More crucially, a layer of dense radiance blended with the lamplight and shot into everyone's eyes. As for that radiance, it was the radiance emitted by an uncountable amount of treasures!
As the saying goes, 'The radiance of jewels and treasures'. Precious treasures would emit an even brighter and gentler radiance. Furthermore, the crew of the Black Pearl had been frantically searching for Aztec gold for so many years. Naturally, they wouldn't casually let go of any treasures they encountered. Hence, one could imagine the amount of gold and silver treasures within. With such an astonishing amount of wealth casually piled up, any one of them would be able to live without worries. Yet strangely, the trio simultaneously felt as though these treasures were like rubble, giving off a disorderly and disorderly feeling like a garbage dump …...
Of course, only contestants like Sheyan could view these treasures with such an aloof attitude. The pirates beside them definitely wouldn't think so. Pirates were ultimately pirates. One of them had already swallowed a huge mouthful of saliva, as he tossed away the cumbersome shield in his hand. Then, he roared wildly with incomparable joy as he sprinted towards the distant treasury.
Sheyan's eyes faintly squinted. At this moment, Blacksail called out.
"Careful."
Yet when Blacksail's voice faded, a flash of light abruptly flashed before their eyes. For that pirate to be able to tag along with Sheyan, his individual skills were rather decent. He subconsciously rolled to the side, while simultaneously raising his weapon to block. Yet in that instance, he felt as though he was struck by an empty void. Blood splattered everywhere as the greedy bastard was sliced into two along with the weapon he was holding!
The speed of this strike was so swift that even those with the best eyesight weren't able to discern it clearly. The only thing that could be discerned was that a gigantic hatchet had swung out from the cave walls, and instantly cleaved the intruder into two!
After the initial paralysis, the pirate who was chopped into two was tormented by the excruciating agony, as he howled frantically and mournfully. Big Beard Davies fished out a musket and blasted that unlucky pirate's head, finally ending his agony.
Yet though he was dead, his corpse was still present. Under the flickering illumination of the lantern, the copious amounts of blood gushing out from the corpse had turned into a viscous paste. Everyone glanced at each other in dismay, as they sunk into an unlucky predicament with no room to advance or retreat.
While everyone was anxiously trying to come up with a solution, an incomparably bizarre sound suddenly drifted into their ears. That sound was shockingly someone humming a tune. Moreover, it was a male's voice that was purposefully disguised as a female's voice. It was like the singing voice of an opera singer. Upon careful listening, the lyrics of the humming were actually – Dead men don't lie!
For such a sound to appear in such an atmosphere, it undoubtedly caused everyone's nerves to tense up. At this moment, Sheyan coldly uttered.
"Blacksail, I didn't make a sound when you sneaked behind that stalagmite. I purposely wanted to see what you were up to. But now, you've exposed yourself right?"
Everyone followed Sheyan's gaze, and indeed, they saw Blacksail hiding behind a stalagmite. They could only see his hunched back as though he was doing something. Moreover, that purposely shrill voice was transmitted from his direction.
Big Beard Davies cautiously pressed his greatsword as he inched forward. He cautiously asked.
"Blacksail, Blacksail?"
When Davies inched closer, Blacksail suddenly spun around. His pupils seemed to have strangely disappeared, leaving only the whites of his eyes. Two long streams of turbid saliva flowed down from his mouth. In this instance, that brat seemed to have recalled something. His expression abruptly turned as though he had seen a ghost, as he scanned his surroundings before yelling out in horror.
"They're here, they're here!! Those ghosts slain by the Black Pearl are here, they're guarding this place! "
As Blacksail yelled, he howled as he pounced onto Davies' body. Grabbing onto his icy greatsword, he proactively pushed his throat to the side, as he frantically urged.
"Don't wait any longer, hurry up and kill me, hurry up and kill me!"
Observing his flustered and trembling appearance, his eyes flickered with deep despair. What sort of immense pressure and terror, would cause an originally confident individual to suddenly seek death?
At this moment, Sheyan kicked Fu Fan to the ground and stepped on him to prevent him from moving. Then, he slowly said with a final word.
"His mind is in a mess, it seems like he was drugged with some sort of hallucinogenic drug. That's why his eyes are filled with illusions. Well, judging from the fact that we seem to be fine for the time being, it should be because he tasted the Mermaid's Oil earlier. Davis, knock him out, then pour your urine on this idiot! "
"Also, the smell of the Mermaid's Oil could possibly be used to create illusions. It's just that the effects are slower and more subtle. Therefore, ripping off your clothes and using water to cover your nose can effectively block off the poisonous fumes."
"My urine for him to drink?" Davies hesitated. "Boss, are you sure? I'm sure if I do that, Blacksail will definitely fight me to the death when he wakes up. " If you like this work, I welcome you to donate your recommendation votes or monthly votes to me. Your support, is my greatest motivation. "
