Great Wish?
Mengqi, who was hiding not far away from the weathered rock, heard the words of the former Crown Prince and suddenly had this thought.
This was similar to Buddhism's Great Wish to practice Sambhogakaya. They were all about proving something and doing something. However, Mengqi, who had once listened to Progenitor Doumu's explanation of Lanke Temple and Sambhogakaya, vaguely felt that something was wrong!
Normal practice of Sambhogakaya relied on one's behavior and temperament to get closer and closer to a certain Dao or certain operating rules of heaven and earth. Then one would get closer and finally become one of them. It was like a normal person punching a wall and receiving a punch from the wall. This was the so-called karma.
Therefore, making a Grand Wish was a gradual process. It depended on how close one was to a certain Great Dao or operating law. If the Grand Wish exceeded the degree of closeness by a lot, it would be considered as an empty wish, and there would be no return at all. For example, if there was a drum at the top of a mountain, if one wanted to beat it and obtain the sound of the drum, one would need to climb to the top of the mountain by himself or grow strong enough to throw a stone at it from afar. If not, blindly trying to beat the drum at the foot of the mountain or halfway up the mountain would be futile!
Taking Lanke Temple as an example, the orthodox successor, Hong Neng, also started his Great Wish from a young age. He started by building a Buddhist temple to shelter the travelers on the Immensity Sea. He did not always think about the unfulfilled Great Wishes of his predecessors and whether he could get ahead of them to obtain unimaginable power of wishes and directly attain the Golden Body of Buddha. This was because if the cultivation of Sambhogakaya was not enough, the Great Wish would be like bragging. How could there be returns?
Making Great Wish, practicing Sambhogakaya, and attaining a certain Dao was definitely not a shortcut to reach the sky in one step!
At this moment, in Mengqi's eyes, the former Crown Prince Zhao Qian seemed to have some kind of change in his aura by relying on empty talk. Solemn, sacred, vast, and transcendental feelings overflowed, causing the formation and the weathered rock formed by the nine Buddhist grandmasters to show a sense of peace and bliss. It was as if every grain of yellow sand and black gravel had turned into a blooming golden lotus. The barren land was like a pure land without any falsehood!
"A formation formed by nine Buddhist eminent monks and treasures?"
"Seems like it's not enough …"
"Could it be that the Sambhogakaya cultivation method that Progenitor said is not completely correct? After all, she is not a Buddhist …"
In doubt, Mengqi became more focused on sensing.
Suddenly, he exclaimed in his heart. He felt that the former Crown Prince Zhao Qian's body had a trace of power that seemed to be there and not there. It descended from the unseen sky and fell into Zhao Qian's Niwan Palace!
This power seemed solemn and unfathomable. It gave people a feeling of compassion, liberation, and bliss. Meng Qi had only sensed it slightly, but it was as if he had gotten rid of all his worries. He felt that everything in the world was just an illusion. He might as well go back to the Buddha's lamp!
Meng Qi forcefully restrained his spirit, not daring to pry any further. This was simply too terrifying!
Could Zhao Qian really be a Buddhist almighty who had descended into the world?
Using a formation to temporarily raise one's strength to sense one's own Pure Land, to receive power or to manifest the true meaning of Buddhism to attract the Buddha's Palm Primary Instruction?
For Zhao Qian to do such a thing at this time, Meng Qi could easily guess that it had something to do with the Primary Instruction of Buddha's Palm!
For some reason, Meng Qi suddenly felt a little nervous and expectant. Could Zhao Qian succeed?
As soon as he thought of this, he saw a half-withered and half-flourishing Bodhi suddenly appear, as if it had broken through the void. It was full of the meaning of detachment from life and death and tranquility. The trunk was indented, and the appearance of a monk first appeared. It seemed to exist but not exist, neither empty nor not empty!
"It's really here!"
The nine Buddhist eminent monks made a mudra. In front of them floated a green lamp, a scroll, and a wooden fish, emitting a faint glaze light. They smiled when they saw the Withering Bodhi.
The nine Buddhist eminent monks each made a mudra. In front of them floated a bluish-green lamp, a scroll, a wooden fish, and other objects, emitting a faint glaze light. Seeing the Withering Bodhi Tree coming to them, they all smiled subconsciously. It was either the gratification of old age or the hesitation of youth.
"As long as we can grasp it, we can leave before the Dharmakayas catch up!"
"As long as we can grasp it, we can leave before the Dharmakayas catch up!"
Since they dared to meddle in this, they were undoubtedly prepared to escape after they succeeded.
The solemnity on Zhao Qian's face faded. It was replaced by compassion and unconcealable joy. After plotting for a long time, he could finally see Buddha!
Eunuch Wei Gao looked at the nine eminent monks and resisted the urge to take the initiative to take it.
The Withering Bodhi Tree was half alive and half dead, half peaceful and intelligent, half dead and withered. It flew closer in an instant, growing bigger and clearer. Only when it was further away did the Dharmakayas react.
"It's here!" Zhao Qian was excited and could not maintain his Zen mind. If he did not have to stay in the core of the formation and maintain the connection with the pure land, he would have flown to meet it!
Suddenly, a goshawk appeared in the sky. It had a black beak and a green body. Its wings were more than ten feet long. It opened its mouth and grabbed the Withering Bodhi!
"Got it … got it …"
Zhao Qian and the others were stunned. They had been guarding against experts of the Exterior and did not pay attention to other creatures. But the goshawk was huge. How could it hide from a grandmaster?
"Where did this feathered animal come from?"
The goshawk was Mengqi. The opportunity was so good that he could not help but come out to pick it up!
The goshawk spread its wings as if it wanted to fly high. A door engraved with strange patterns appeared in the sky.
The door opened silently and a chaotic colored talisman flew out. It was filled with a simple and unadorned aura and was surrounded by dense air. Inside the talisman floated large talismans and seal characters that seemed to contain some Maxim of Heaven and Earth!
As soon as it appeared, thousands of auspicious Qi and rays of light rushed into the sky.
"Open the door and let Yunhe go!"
The Dharma and Logos within a radius of a hundred miles changed accordingly. Gods, Buddhas, Immortals, Saints, Demons, Ghosts, Golden Ravens, Jade Rabbits, and Chaotic Hole Stars appeared one after another, trapping the nine Buddhist grandmasters and the Crown Prince in the formation.
Yunhe took the opportunity and rolled up his sleeves, wrapping the Plenitude Gate. The auspicious cloud grew bigger and covered Mengqi. Golden light shone around him as he withdrew the talisman. It seemed like he was about to perform some powerful escape technique to escape from the Dharmakayas' pursuit by relying on many Taoist arts and celestial arts.
Compared to his nervous and expectant mood, Mengqi was much more confident. The Withering Bodhi Tree in his hand was so real. He had indeed obtained the Primary Instruction. Things would be much simpler after that!
If Yunhe could not get rid of it, he would let him hide in the Plenitude Gate and then crush the Reincarnation Talisman. He could wander in any world for two months and comprehend the Primary Instruction. Even if he did not become a monk, he could use the Eight Nine Mysteries to simulate the real Buddha's Palm, which would be a real killing weapon!
The other Dharmakayas did not know the magical effect of the Reincarnation Talisman. The one waiting for him was undoubtedly Chong He. If anything happened, he would have the Primogenitor to handle it. What was there to be afraid of?
Of course, more importantly, if the situation was not good, he could still throw out the Withering Bodhi Tree to divert the trouble and take the opportunity to escape!
"I'm so smart!"
The nine Buddhist monks, the former Crown Prince Zhao Qian, and the eunuch Wei Gao were disheveled by the sudden appearance of the formation. Even though the talisman was soon gone, the formation was layered and ready. It took them a breath's time to break it. They could only see a ray of golden light turning into the sunset glow, shooting into the distance and disappearing instantly.
"Go after him!" Zhao Qian's self-restraint and Zen heart cultivation had suddenly flown away. He could not help but lose his composure. His expression was gloomy.
As they chased into the distance, the Dharmakayas near the Fish Sea had already determined the direction and arrived in an instant. The fastest ones were not Chong He but Sword Maniac He Qi, Grand Asura Meng Nan, and the Dharma King of this World who had once again merged into the void.
The Buddha's relic and the Vajra transformed by the formation could not leave the line between the Fish Sea and Tan Han and could only disappear. The Dharma Kings chased after them with their Buddhist Commandment Blades and Buddha's relic. They were at the back, on par with the Abbess of Shui Yue Nunnery, the current Bodhisattva of Joy, and Taoist Shou Jing.
The formation dissipated. The lucky Exterior masters who had not been killed by the battle between the Dharmakayas and the Fish Sea were finally freed. They felt weak and dizzy, but they had to leave quickly. They repeatedly warned themselves not to be blinded by greed in the future.
Immortal Yunhe brought Mengqi away from Zhao Qian and the Buddhist monks. He let go of Mengqi and prepared to use Taoist arts to erase their traces and hide their breath to avoid being tracked.
Just then, he felt an inexplicable sense of tranquility and benevolence descend from above!
Mengqi's heart tightened. He felt that although this sense of benevolence did not have much power, it had cleverly changed some things. The surrounding heaven and earth turned into a pure land of Buddhism. All kinds of Dharma and Logos rejected him, making him unable to sense the Vital Qi sea between heaven and earth. He could no longer trigger the force of nature and his body lost the ability to travel through the void. He fell like a stone!
The Shang Qing Immortal Talisman of Primordial Unity Spirit floated in front of Immortal Yunhe. He managed to stabilize himself and wanted to catch Mengqi, but he was a step too late.
Mengqi turned in mid-air and dissolved the falling force. He then used Thousand Pounds Falling to accelerate his body and fell toward the Immensity Sea.
He held the Samsara Talisman in his left hand, ready to activate it the moment something went wrong.
If not for the fact that the sense of tranquility and benevolence could not directly attack him, he would have used the Samsara Talisman long ago. He would not have waited for Immortal Yunhe!
Strong breaths appeared in the distance. Mengqi suddenly had a thought. In Luoyang, even the Dominator had "retreated". He had waited for a few days before returning. With so many Dharmakayas here, would the Samsara Talisman still work?
He was drenched in sweat.
Bang! His feet landed on the ground, creating deep holes in the gravel.
Zhen Hui, who was helping Hong Neng carry the rock, stared at the familiar figure in front of him with his mouth agape. He saw the Withering Bodhi Tree that was unusually similar to the Smile of Flower-Picking that he had comprehended before.
It was not only the Primary Instruction that fell from the sky, but also his Senior Brother …
