Bones!
Although the body before Kieran's eyes was not badly mutilated, there was still some muscle, fat, and internal organs left. However, the hardest part of the body, the bones, were pitifully few.
Other than the half of the head that was bitten off, there were no other bones that could be seen with the naked eye that were relatively intact.
Had the bones been crushed?
Or could it be that ferocious beasts preferred bones over soft and delicious meat?
None of these were possible.
The former was easy to explain. Even if the beast had crushed the bones, there should have been some leftover bone around it, but Kieran had not found any.
The latter was even more obvious. Only half of the skull had been bitten off, which meant that the beast did not like bones.
In other words, before the ferocious beasts ate the corpses, the bones of these people had already been taken away!
"What does Sphendix want bones for?
Does this magic circle need bones as a medium?
Or …? "
Kieran guessed.
His [Mystical Knowledge] was not high enough, so Kieran could not get anything out of it.
More accurately, he could not get anything out of the mystical realm.
However, Kieran did get something out of it.
For example, the third victim, Paul, who had been eaten by the beast.
Unlike the other four victims whose heads had been found, Paul was the only one who had been left with an arm.
Kieran believed that it was not because the beast was a picky eater.
Judging from the carcass that had been chewed until only minced meat was left, the ferocious beast's appetite was quite good.
Likewise, it did not know how to clean up its tracks.
Kieran's [Tracking] vision allowed him to see the traces that the beast had left behind.
There was a bloody palm print.
It was thick and strong.
It was not something a human could have.
A bear?
Kieran was not sure.
He did not know much about animals.
However, Kieran knew where the beast had gone.
Following the bloody palm print, Kieran walked forward.
"You want to track the beast?
"We've tried, but we've failed every time!"
The scrawny man did not have high hopes for Kieran.
"That's because you didn't use the right method!"
Kieran said as he turned into another alleyway.
The bloody palm print had started to fade, but to Kieran, it wasn't a big deal. The white marks were very eye-catching.
Moreover, there was a pair of boot prints on the ground.
Obviously, this was the ferocious beast's prey.
Or rather, the tamer.
The tamer was very careful. After putting down the 'food' and removing the bones of the 'food', he had been waiting here for his' pet 'to have a full meal before leaving together.
Following the two tracks, Kieran turned left and right.
After five minutes … A busy street appeared in front of Kieran.
The beast's palm print had disappeared.
It had disappeared.
With the addition of the tamer's footprints, Kieran had a picture in his mind. The beast had finished its meal, and under the tamer's instructions, it had boarded a car that had been waiting for a long time.
Kieran looked at the tire prints that had blended into the countless tracks. He turned to the scrawny man and said, "I need a car and a driver!"
Although the tracks had blended into the road, they had not disappeared.
Kieran did not want to give up just like that.
The car might have gone straight to Sphendix's headquarters, but it might also have gone to another place that could provide Kieran with additional clues.
The scrawny man looked at Kieran and frowned.
However, when he remembered Mr. G's orders, he waved at one of his men.
After a while … The black MPV appeared in front of Kieran.
"I need to sit in the front passenger seat!"
Kieran shook his head as he watched the scrawny man open the back door.
"Don't go overboard!
Don't forget who you are! "
The scrawny man moved closer to Kieran and scolded him.
Mr. Pervert G's henchmen looked at Kieran in an unfriendly manner.
They had had enough of following Kieran around and watching Kieran do nothing.
If it had not been for Kent, they would have taught this arrogant young man a lesson.
Kieran looked at the scrawny man and then at the men around him. He could not help but laugh.
"Of course not!
"I'm Mr. Awesome G's collaborator!"
Kieran said word by word.
Of course, Kieran knew that if he told the scrawny man about his discovery, he would believe him. However, the scrawny man was not qualified enough.
Kieran needed to talk to Mr. G face to face.
He did not want to talk to one of his men.
Why had he done that?
When he saw the huge pentagram, he was stunned. Kieran had been wondering why the third dungeon had been so much harder than the fourth.
Kieran had been puzzled at first, but when he had checked the body, he had realized why. Mr. G's men had been following him while he had been following the trail. Kieran finally understood why he had felt that way.
This was because he had many helpers.
But he subconsciously thought of himself as a person.
Unlike the prison guards in Alcatraz who had been killed or injured, Kieran was facing a strong opponent like Sphendix Corporation in this dungeon. However, he also had a 'helper' in Mr. Awesome G.
He was not fighting alone.
Imagine the normal progression of the Main Mission.
If the player did not help Larry, they would have rushed to Lerner's house.
Then, they would have found out that Lerner was dead and the key items had been taken. Then, the fourth and fifth cases of beasts eating people would have happened. Because of the Main Mission, the player would have to investigate.
Then, the player would have naturally entered Mr. G.'s line of sight.
As long as the player displayed a certain level of strength, Mr. G. would not mind having a powerful subordinate.
In the end, the player could follow behind Mr. G. and complete the Main Mission.
Apart from the difficulty of displaying his strength in front of Mr. G. and the battle with Sphendix Corporation, the rest of the process was not difficult for Kieran at all.
Naturally, this was in line with the difficulty of the third dungeon.
However, that did not mean that Kieran would choose to do so.
"Not only do I have to complete the Main Mission, but I also have to complete the Side Mission and Title Mission as much as possible. Only then will I be able to gain more advantages in future dungeons!"
Kieran would not forget his goal every time he entered a dungeon.
Kieran didn't want to muddle along and complete the dungeon before him when there was still a chance for him to do something.
Admittedly, following Mr. Biggie G to complete the Main Mission was easy and enjoyable.
But what about the next dungeon? What about the next dungeon?
As the dungeon entries increased, the difficulty would increase, and such an easy and enjoyable time would become the sweetest moment before death.
Kieran did not want that.
Therefore, he would not follow Mr. G. to complete the Main Mission. Instead, he wanted to be on equal footing with him.
That was the only way he could reap the most benefits.
However, it would not be easy to do so.
Although Kieran had only met Mr. G. once, Mr. G.'s dominance, indifference, and condescension had left a deep impression on Kieran.
However, Mr. G. was not an arrogant person. The fact that he could look Sphendix in the eye was the best proof of that.
That was why Kieran understood that if he wanted his original plan to go according to plan, he would have to show his dominance.
He would have to be strong enough to make Mr. G. look him in the eye.
Only then would Mr. G. be considered a collaborator.
It would not be the disdain of a superior towards a subordinate.
Of course, the prerequisite to doing so was to have the strength to back it up.
Otherwise, he would be courting death.
Kieran had the strength to back it up.
Now, it seemed like it was the perfect opportunity for Kieran to show his strength.
"Collaborator?
Who do you think you are?
You don't know what's good for you! I'll tell you what kind of attitude you should have in front of Mr. G! "
The skinny man laughed coldly and threw a punch at Kieran.
Kieran stood still, as if he had been scared out of his wits.
Mr. G.'s henchmen looked like they were watching a good show.
They knew what Kent was capable of.
Being able to become Mr. G's right-hand man, Kent was not a simple guy.
Not only was he strong, but he was also one of the top three henchmen under Mr. G.'s command.
He was definitely more vicious and merciless than the other two who were stronger than him.
Coupled with his loyalty to Mr. G, Kent was able to achieve his current status.
Nothing good would come of offending a guy like Mr. G.
Many of Mr. G.'s henchmen, who were fierce and aggressive, were laughing at Kent's misfortune.
They were even guessing how Kieran would end up being beaten up.
Would his ribs be broken?
Or would his arms be broken?
Or would his legs be broken?
There were too many guesses, so many that they wanted to do it themselves.
Their malicious gazes were all focused on Kieran.
They were like a pack of hungry wolves!
Facing all this, Kieran just slightly bent his right index finger.
The ruby on the beautiful ring on Kieran's right index finger immediately shone with a mysterious luster under the sunlight.
It seemed to be telling the world its name: [Half-Dead's Gaze]!
PS: I went out for a while in the evening, so this chapter is too late!
