Chapter 64

Words:1408Update:22/02/09 16:05:14

Report

About an hour later, Vivian's party left the Adventurers Guild and arrived at a secluded corner of Lamegion, walking on a deserted, dilapidated path.

Vivian looked at the winding path and turned to Tierre.

"Are you sure it's here?"

Vivian asked Tierre for confirmation.

"If there's nothing wrong with the address on it."

Tierre gave a lukewarm reply.

"But … But this doesn't look like a place for people to stay."

Lumia said timidly.

"I've never heard of a place like this. If it's just a place to hide, it's a perfect place."

Melica seemed a little nervous as she held her staff in front of her.

Just like that, everyone in Vivian's party discussed cautiously.

Only Shien kept his mouth shut and followed behind the others, showing what it meant to stay out of this.

Ever since Tierre said she had clues about the target, Shien had been acting like this.

The party didn't notice anything strange, so they followed the address Tierre provided and arrived at the place.

But just as Lumia said, this place didn't look like a place suitable for living. Instead, it looked like a wasteland where beasts and monsters gathered. Perhaps even the slums were better than this place.

Shien was in disbelief. He didn't know why a town like this would have such a place. Was it an undeveloped area?

If it had been any other time, Sean would have consulted Vivian's team with such doubts in mind.

But today, Shien just wanted to shut up and be a weak, helpless, and pitiful baby.

Under such circumstances, Vivian gave an order.

"No matter what, let's go in and take a look," Vivian said softly. Vivian said softly, "Otherwise, in a situation where there are no clues, we can only use extreme methods to find him."

Vivian had originally planned to use money to solve this problem.

According to her, she knew a few intelligence merchants. As long as she could pay them, they would take action. It would just take a lot of time.

Now that Tierre had a clue, it couldn't be better.

"You … You're right."

"Then let's go in and take a look."

Both Lumia and Merica gave in as well.

And so, they walked in together.

But just in case, Vivian, as the vanguard tank, walked in front and took off her heavy tower shield. Lumia stayed by Melica's side to protect her. Only Shien and Tierre were in charge of bringing up the rear.

This gave Shien a chance to get close to Tierre.

"Um …" Shien said weakly. "Miss Tierre, can I ask you a question?"

Shien was finally ready to ask.

However, Tierre was unmoved.

"You want to ask me why I have that clue, right?"

"You're really observant."

Shien said humbly. Sean said humbly, "If you could explain something to me, I would be very grateful."

"Don't use those strange words. It makes people uncomfortable," Tierre said indifferently, "I just happened to pick it up."

"Don't use those strange words. It makes me uncomfortable," Tierre said indifferently. "I just happened to pick it up."

"Happened to pick it up?" Shien asked carefully. "Are you sure?" "Unless I tell you directly that I was there at that time, you will still doubt me no matter what I say, right?" Tierre said in an indifferent tone.

"Uh …" Sean had nothing to say, so he could only change the question. He asked in a low voice, "Then how did you confirm that the address recorded on that thing is the one the old demons are looking for, and also our target?"

"Um …" Shien was speechless. He could only ask another question. "Then how can you be sure that the person in the picture is the person that the Old Demons are looking for?"

"Um …" Shien didn't know what to say. He could only change his question. "Then how did you know that the person recorded on the item is the person the Old Demons are looking for, and that person is also our target?"

In the end, Vivian trusted Tierre unconditionally. That was why she brought everyone here without asking any questions. But how did Tierre connect the clue to the person in the portrait? Shien couldn't figure it out.

No, there was only one possibility.

But Shien didn't want it to be this possibility.

Unfortunately, there were too many things in this world that didn't go as one wished.

"When you were confronting each other, didn't that person admit that he was a fugitive who came to Lamygion?" Tierre said with a shocking tone. "If that's the case, it's very likely that the person is the person the Old Demons are looking for."

Her statement was reasonable.

Unfortunately, this was the last thing Shien wanted to see.

After all, it meant something.

"… So you've been watching from the side?"

Shien felt like all the mysteries had been solved.

Why did Tierre teach him the [Demon Sword] when she knew that his level and strength weren't high enough?

Because she had seen Shien's true strength.

Why did Tierre only express shock about Sean fulfilling the conditions to learn the [Demonic Sword] and the result of the earth-shattering phenomenon? Why didn't she express any doubts?

Because she knew Shien's uniqueness.

On the night when Sean returned to the camp under Mount Mangal, Vivian told him that Tierre had gone to patrol the surrounding area.

So, Tierre must have seen Shien outside the campsite and seen Shien's secret, right?

"Let me be clear. I didn't follow you on purpose," Tierre said. "At that time, you weren't in a good state. Vivian was worried that you would be in danger if you wandered outside alone, so she asked me to follow you and protect you in the dark."

"Vivian?" Shien was stunned. He quickly asked, "Does Vivian know about it?"

"I'm not sure. At least, I didn't tell her about it." Tierre said straightforwardly, "But judging from Vivian's reaction, even if she didn't notice it directly like I did, she must have noticed something special about you. Otherwise, she wouldn't have let you go even though she knew that you were the culprit behind the phenomenon."

These words made Shien feel uncomfortable.

In other words, the identity that he thought he had hidden well was already known by Vivian and Tierre?

More than that, there might be more people who knew about it?

Shien really wanted to curse.

Fortunately, Tierre told Shien about it.

"Don't worry. I didn't tell anyone about it, not even Lumia and Merica. Vivian definitely didn't tell anyone about it," Tierre said indifferently. Dieyer said indifferently, "Your identity is too sensitive in today's era and situation. If it is exposed, not to mention anything else, the old demons will definitely target you first, and then take the opportunity to destroy the rare peace. This is a serious matter, and we all know what to do."

"Is that so?" Shien heaved a sigh of relief, but he also sighed. "I'm sorry to trouble you."

"Don't worry about it," Tierre said indifferently. "This is also for our own good."

While Shien and Tierre were having this secret conversation, the three people in front of them suddenly stopped.

"It seems that we have found the right place."

Vivian stared ahead and made a decision.
