There is a kind of crow whose mother is kind and her son is filial, which is spread among the people. Therefore, it is called Ci Wu.
There was nothing wrong with this poem. It talked about a Ci Wu who lost its mother and often cried. It guarded the forest where its mother used to live and refused to leave. This Ci Wu would cry every day, as if it was lamenting that it had not fulfilled its filial duties. People who heard it would also cry. Why was Ci Wu so sad? Did other birds not have mothers? It should be that Ci Wu was extremely filial and could not bear the pain of its mother's death.
