"Once a Psychokinesis user leaves the Haunt World, his or her Psychokinesis will be greatly weakened.
??
Only a two-star wizard in the Haunt World can set up a Psychokinesis Barrier in the wizarding world, "Sunders spoke in a serious tone.
The Haunt World was also a world with a special power called "Psychokinesis". The power of Psychokinesis lay dormant in the bodies of all living beings in the Haunt World. It could only be awakened through a special training method to unleash its unique effects.
The Haunt World was a low-magic plane, and the strongest Psychokinesis was a three-star Psychokinesis. A three-star Psychokinesis user's Psychokinesis could be as destructive as a level-3 wizard. However, this was only the strength of a Psychokinesis user in the Haunt World. Once they left the Haunt World, their Psychokinesis would be greatly weakened. A three-star Psychokinesis user could only unleash the power of a level-1 wizard in the wizarding world.
This "Psychokinesis Barrier" was the same as a level-2 apprentice's Psychokinesis Barrier. However, the one who set it up was a two-star Psychokinesis user. This was the difference in power between different worlds. Wizards were able to roam freely across thousands of planes because they were not affected by the world's restrictions. A wizard who embarked on the path of truth would not be affected by the difference in the world at all. A wizard's power was simply the application of knowledge. As long as they could think, their power would not be weakened.
"You hired a two-star Psychic to ambush us?" Sunders looked at Sliv and asked.
"Ambush? Of course not. I just want to make a deal with you, Mister Sunders. "Sliv walked through the water barrier and stood on Becky's back. His long silver hair fluttered in the wind, giving him an outstanding look.
"A deal? Do you really need an otherworldly visitor if this is a normal deal? "Sunders mocked.
"Heehee. Are you still thinking about the Fragments of Eternity?" Flora suddenly spoke up.
"That's right. Lady Flora, you really know what I'm talking about. I just want to trade some Fragments of Eternity. "Sliv grinned.
"No way. You're —" Flora was about to mock Sliv when Sunders stopped her.
"A deal? Since it's a deal, why don't you tell me what you want? If it's to my liking, I don't mind giving you some. "
"Professor!" Flora grumbled. She felt a little uncomfortable. Sunders only waved his hand and made a secret gesture.
Stall for time, now is not the time to make a move!
Flora understood what Sunders meant. She shut her mouth and stepped behind Sunders.
"A bargaining chip?" Sliv grinned. A cold light flashed in his eyes. "How about both of your lives?"
Both Sunders and Flora's expressions darkened.
"You're courting death!" Flora yelled.
"Use our lives as a bargaining chip? Are you sure you can kill us? "Sunders scoffed.
Sliv was not afraid at all. "Of course I can't kill you, but the world's consciousness can. If you or I do, the consequences … Hehe, I don't have to tell you."
Flora thought Sliv had some kind of ultimate weapon. She rolled her eyes when she heard what Sliv said. "You're asking for it. No one here can escape no matter who it is. Do you really think you can survive?"
"Don't waste time. I know what you're thinking." Sliv clapped his hands and summoned several shadows. The leader of the shadows was a thin man with a strange aura. "They're from Haunt World's Yindick Clan. You know them, Mister Sunders?" Sliv spoke. "They're from Haunt World's Yindick Clan.
"Yindick?" Sunders looked at the skinny man in the front and was surprised. "You're Crow Yindick?"
The thin man chuckled and spoke with a foreign accent, "Yes, I am Crow Yindick."
Crow took off his hood and revealed Elder White. He looked like a human, but he had a pair of beast ears with black and white patterns on them. The pair of ears indicated that he was not a human. He was a humanoid intelligent creature.
Sunders' expression changed when he heard the man's name. He was one of the five three-star Psychics in Haunt World. His Psychic ability was called "origin".
This ability was extremely powerful in Haunt World. It could even affect the entire world. He could create an origin of an element and use it to expand. Fire could be used as the origin to create an endless sea of fire. Water could also be used as the origin to create a vast ocean. This ability was not limited to physical objects. It could even use time or space as the origin!
Crow had left Haunt World, so he could not do as much as he did in Haunt World. However, if he used his ability reasonably and used the "stable space" as the starting point to create a shelter, even if the space collapsed, they would still be safe and sound! No wonder Sliv said those words. With Crow here, they would not be affected by the world's consciousness.
"A good plan," Sunders said in a gloomy tone. Sunders' expression darkened. If he did something, he would attract the attention of the world's consciousness and bring trouble to everyone. Sliv, on the other hand, could survive with the help of the Raven. If other organizations found out about this, it would be Sunders' fault.
If Sunders did not make a move, Sliv could also use Crow to attack. A three-star Psychic like Crow was at least as strong as a level-1 wizard in the wizarding world. This was enough to deal with them since they could not use their full power.
Whether they made a move or not, they would not get anything good out of it.
Sunders was also trying to figure out Sliv's bottom line. As a matter of fact, Sliv could have used a spell from the very beginning to turn everyone present into specks of light and kill them all. He could then take all the benefits from the third stage of plane fusion. However, he did not do so for a reason.
Maybe Crow's Psychic ability was not enough to protect everyone in Song of the Deep. Or maybe Sliv had other plans and did not want to offend all the organizations here.
Still, Sunders was curious why Sliv dared to do this.
"So, what's your answer? Don't waste my time. I'll give you one more minute. If you don't answer me in one minute, I'll do it. Your lives, or give me the Fragment of Eternity. "
Sliv looked confident as if he already knew what Sunders would choose. To wizards, life was more important than anything else. Feelings? Virtues? Bravery? Those were only spiritual comforts for mortals. To wizards who tried their best to see through the nature of the world, nothing was more important than their own lives.
Suddenly, Sliv saw Flora taking out a leather scroll. Magic runes were flashing on the scroll, which was connected to the magic array under their feet.
"You want to leave using a teleportation array?" Sliv raised an eyebrow and smiled. "Oh, I almost forgot to tell you. The water curtain around us is covered by a layer of Psyche Barrier. Since we're in a different world, our Psychic abilities are weakened. But it can still hold you back for one or two minutes! "
Psyche Barrier?! Flora quickly looked at Sunders and saw him nodding.
Damn it! Flora cursed in a low voice. She looked frustrated, but anyone who knew her well would see that her eyes were clear and calm. There was no anger at all.
Due to the "Psyche Barrier", the place fell into silence.
"30 seconds left. I hope you make the right choice." Sliv took out a mini hourglass and watched the sand falling down bit by bit. The smile on his face grew wider and wider.
