Chapter 652

In the Nightmare Realm, time seemed to have stopped. Everything seemed to have a deeper meaning, even a blade of grass or a tree.

Greya also sensed the Nightmare Realm on this mountain, but it was much weaker than when she was in Witch's Town.

She had originally planned to explore all the areas first, and then look for areas that she was interested in to stroll around. She was most interested in Tree Nest and Monument Valley. The former was because of the gray beast in the sky, while the latter was because of some strange puzzles.

But now, Greya didn't care about those two places at all.

She focused all her attention on this Mystery Mountain.

Because not long ago, when she was sitting in the carriage, she felt an aura that made her heart beat faster.

It wasn't because of fear or being controlled by Angor. It was simply because of the aura. If Greya wasn't mistaken, she sensed something mysterious about this place.

Greya had sensed the Mystery aura before. The Butterfly Spirit in Felicia's hand was a Mystery item. Butterfly Spirit was in Felicia's hands right now, but Greya was the one who had it long ago.

However, Butterfly Spirit never showed its potential in Greya's hands. Instead, it was more suitable for Felicia, who had absorbed the bloodline of Radiant Butterfly. Therefore, Greya gave Butterfly Spirit to her.

Greya didn't have a Mystery item yet, but she was quite familiar with the aura of Mystery items.

Greya wouldn't be surprised if she sensed Mystery energy anywhere else. However, she didn't expect to sense it in Angor's illusion.

Moreover, she felt that this mysterious aura was somewhat familiar.

As a matter of fact, Greya had seen many Mystery items before. She even fought against wizards who had Mystery items, so she knew a thing or two about Mystery items.

Most Mystery items shared the same aura, which was filled with contradictions and harmony, unknowns, and chaos. However, there were still some differences in their attributes.

For example, when she and Sunders fought against Yorkshire in Sleepless City, Sunders used a Mystery item. According to Angor, the item was called the Cursing Doll.

Overall, the aura of the Resentment Cloth Puppet was similar to that of the other Mysterious items, allowing one to immediately identify it as a Mysterious item. However, Greya, who had fought the "Butterfly Spirit" before, knew that the puppet's aura was similar to Butterfly Spirit's. However, the puppet's aura was gloomy and scary, while Butterfly Spirit's aura was light and agile.

Therefore, every Mystery Object could be labeled based on the attributes that they sensed.

The reason why the wizards outside of Sleepless City believed that a new Mystery item was being born was because they had never sensed anything similar to this Mystery item before.

And now, Greya sensed the same Mystery aura.

She felt something familiar.

Back in Sleepless City, she was tied up in the teleportation hall by Fox. Back then, she sensed the Mystery aura almost 24 hours a day, whether it came from the string or the darkness.

The mysterious aura emitted from the silk thread originated from the harp in Fox's hand.

However, Greya had no idea what the other Mystery aura was, or where it came from. But she did remember the attribute of the Mystery aura. It was so powerful that it felt like all rivers flowing into the sea. When she sensed the aura, she felt as if she was facing an all-knowing and omnipotent god.

She didn't know how the origin world classified Mystery items into different levels. However, she believed that if there was such a thing, the Mystery item she was looking for would be much more powerful than the harp in Fox's hand.

But now, she sensed the same aura in Angor's illusion.

"That's not right." Greya frowned. There was still a difference. Although this aura also gave off a vast feeling, it was more than a thousand times thinner. Furthermore, it was extremely ethereal. It was far inferior to the mysterious harp of the Red Fox Fox.

Greya didn't know what was going on. Maybe it was the same Mystery item she had never seen before. Or maybe it was another Mystery item that was related to Fox's harp.

Either way, Greya believed that Angor must have found a Mystery item.

But why would Angor put the item in the illusion if he really had it? That didn't make sense.

If Greya found a Mystery item, she would treasure it as much as she could. Of course, she would never give it to someone else.

As an alchemist who once studied Mystery, Angor was not stupid enough to do such a thing. Was he really going to give her a mysterious item just for a meal of VIP level food? If everyone in the wizarding world had such a mindset, why would she open Barbie's Restaurant? She could just change the name to Barbie's Mystery Shop.

Or maybe the "Mystery item" Angor found was something that could merge Mystery energy into an illusion? But even if it was integrated into the illusion, what benefit would it bring?

Greya also wondered if Angor had learned the Mystery aura and merged it into the illusion. After all, Greya already knew what happened to the Nightmare Realm. But she didn't think that was possible. Angor needed at least a Mystery item to learn the Mystery aura, right? Besides, even if Angor could learn the Mystery aura, it would be the work of the Mystery alchemist. Angor was still far away from that.

Greya could wait for a hundred years to find the source of the mysterious aura, and she would know the answer soon enough.

Greya calmed herself down and began to search for the source of the Mystery aura on the barren mountain.

A week passed in the blink of an eye.

Greya spent all her time on the mountain. To her surprise, she couldn't find the source of the Mystery aura even though she sensed it from time to time.

Nothing existed without a reason. As long as something existed, it could be traced back.

But now, she couldn't find the source of the Mystery aura. Why was that?

Greya even considered breaking through the illusion with the help of an external force. But for some reason, when she was about to do that, her heart skipped a beat.

It was as if she sensed something ominous.

If she really destroyed this illusory realm, she might lose an opportunity.

That was her premonition.

Everyone, including mortals, would have strange premonitions from time to time. Some of these premonitions were real, while others were just wild guesses or self-deceptions.

A wizard's premonition was more accurate than a mortal's. Still, she wasn't a Prophet, so she couldn't say for sure.

But at least Greya preferred to believe in her premonition.

Of all the times, the Mystery aura showed up just before she was about to destroy the illusion. Greya didn't think it was a coincidence.

She gave up on using her own power to destroy the illusion. But she couldn't keep wasting her time trying to find the source of the Mystery aura. She had to think of something.

Greya considered for a moment and decided to cancel the illusion.

She couldn't find the source of the Mystery aura, but it didn't mean the creator of the illusion couldn't find it either. She could just ask Angor directly.

With that in mind, Greya left the hut.

Angor spent the next few days in Sunders' Castle as well. After building the Church of the Deceased for Freud, Angor gave Dave the alchemy items he was going to put up for auction.

Next, Angor entered a period of calming down.

During this time, he spent most of his time learning a cantrip called Narda's Vision. It was also known as Alchemy's Eye, which could be used to identify unknown materials, properties, and effects.

It was a cantrip that every alchemist had to learn.

Originally, Angor put Narda's Vision on his training list, but he didn't want to learn it. He would still focus on Illusionary cantrips and learn the necessary spell combinations.

However, because of Spotty's gift, he had to put Narda's Vision on his training list. More importantly, he didn't want to leave the crystal to someone else, so he had to do it himself.

Narda's Vision was a level-3 cantrip.

Angor assumed that Narda's Vision would be extremely difficult to learn. But in fact, the difficulty depended on one's own knowledge.

Moreover, at first, he thought that Narda's Eye was a kind of cantrip similar to the "Eye of Truth" that focused on refining one's "eyes". However, that was not the case. Narda's Vision looked like a visual cantrip, but it was only a facade. At its core, it was a magic formula algorithm.

The algorithm was similar to the sorting and induction of nonlinear systems, but it required a lot of knowledge as a foundation.

To learn Narda's Vision, one must first consider one's knowledge of alchemy substances. Moreover, one would also make reasonable deductions based on one's current knowledge.

Narda's algorithm was similar to some of the algorithms found in the hologram tablet. However, the magic formula used in Narda's Vision was completely different from the ones found in modern technology. Instead of deducing three things from one example, the result could be deduced from a hundred or even a thousand times.

Angor didn't know much about alchemy substances at the moment.

What he knew were basically things that he could use, such as unrated magic materials or low-grade magic materials. As for the more precious or unconventional materials, he didn't know much about them.

Narda's Vision, however, required a lot of personal knowledge. Many alchemists were too weak to learn it. It wasn't difficult. If one had a relatively good inheritance, they would only need to spend some time to understand and memorize the relevant magical materials, and they would be able to get the basics.

The more knowledge one had, the fewer blind spots Narda's Vision would have.

A master alchemist once hypothesized that if one could become omniscient, Narda's Vision could even see through the truth!

Of course, this was a false proposition. If someone was really omniscient, he or she would have already grasped the truth.
