Chapter 548

Words:2508Update:23/03/15 17:31:08

Report

When he left Nail Alchemy Shop, he already had a pyramid-shaped insect nest in his hand.

He couldn't see what was inside the nest from the outside, but when he used his spirit feelers, he could see an ant about the size of a finger curled up inside.

The ant's color was black and white, and the black and white were separated in the middle of its head.

It looked similar to the one Devildare gave him. However, after Shadow destroyed it, it had been piled up in the corner of the bracelet. Maybe he could try to fix it when he started learning alchemy.

Without a doubt, this strange ant was the Dream Weaver Ant he got from the trade.

While playing with the Dream Weaver Ant, Angor walked toward the end of Moshi Street.

Soon, he sensed that someone was following him. Frowning, he put the nest back into his bracelet and tapped on Toby's shoulder. The bird flew out of his chest pocket and circled around in the air before landing on Angor's shoulder.

"So there's someone …" Angor frowned. According to Toby, the one following him was a short young man.

His only distinguishing feature was a pair of protruding ears.

Angor had a good idea who was following him.

Using the reflective signboards on the street, Angor saw a short man. As expected, it was the apprentice alchemist named John Junior.

It wasn't Lantis who told Angor about his whereabouts. Lantis knew who he was and where he lived. There was no way Lantis would do something like this. Now that Lucien thought about it, it was probably John Junior who acted on his own initiative. He probably followed that shy apprentice and wanted to find out who had sold the core technology of the energy stabilizer.

It seemed that this John Junior wanted to follow him, find a hidden place, and force him to reveal his alchemy knowledge.

But as soon as he pretended to turn around, John Junior quickly covered his face and turned away. It was as if John Junior couldn't see him as long as he couldn't.

Angor didn't know what to say.

It seemed that he had overestimated the other party's intelligence to have such a clear and hidden method.

He quickly moved forward and activated Infinite Reticence when he passed through a crowded area.

When he walked out of the crowd, his figure had already disappeared from John Junior's eyes.

Little John stood where he was and lowered his head in disappointment. "Why did he suddenly disappear? I was going to ask him how to deal with the Starry Dragon Bone …"

It seemed like there was no hope. John Jr. turned around dejectedly and left slowly.

On the other hand, he activated Infinite Reticence and quickly left Moshi's Street. As for why John Jr. was following him, he could basically guess his purpose. However, he had no obligation to answer John Junior's question. Moreover, he couldn't answer John Junior's question with his current level of pharmaceutics.

After getting rid of John Junior, he quickly left the city.

By the time he returned to the Flourishing Flower Manor, the moon was already high in the sky.

Tonight, Floating Mech City drifted to a cloudless area. A lone moon hung in the sky. Under the moonlight, the quiet Flowery Manor looked as if it was covered with a white veil.

He returned to his room with his Moonlight Mask and Starlight Mask.

As soon as he entered his room, he heard some noises coming from next door. Using his spirit feelers, he saw Papaya and the Krakoks dancing around a bonfire in front of the building.

Angor was wondering why they were having a bonfire party in the middle of the night instead of sleeping.

But when he listened carefully, he realized that they were having a monthly ritual.

A monthly ritual? So the Month of Resuscitation has already turned to the next day?

The Month of Slumber (February) had arrived.

Time flew by quickly. While Angor was still thinking about the purification garden in the Month of Resuscitation, he had already arrived at the Month of Slumber.

Angor still remembered when Jon traveled through time and landed in Grue Town, it was the Month of Slumber. It had been 23 years since then.

Jon had been teaching Angor ever since he was born. Therefore, he clearly remembered that when he was a child, Jon would hold his hand and go to the place where they first landed during the Month of Soundly Sleep. They would hold the Alien Eye in their hands, hoping to return to Earth from there.

But his dream never came true until Jon abandoned the Alien Eye in a forest.

Until Jon was corroded by the world's consciousness and couldn't walk anymore.

Until time passed, and the years were no more.

Jon finally put out the fire of hope. He stayed in Padt Manor in low spirits and never left.

Angor couldn't help but touch the Alien Eye in front of his chest. Memories of his past flashed through his mind as if they were just yesterday.

The moonlight was so beautiful that it illuminated two neighboring houses at the same time. Yet, they were in two different extremes.

Only one wall separated the lively house and the quiet house.

Angor's emotions came and went as quickly as they came. Or rather, he didn't dare to let his emotions out completely. The five-year promise with Jon had set a gate for his emotions. Before the promise was fulfilled, he didn't dare to let his emotions flow freely.

Angor calmed down and prepared to open the parchment scroll given to him by the red-haired woman.

He was about to take out the scroll when he reached his spirit feeler into the bracelet and noticed something strange.

The pyramid-shaped hive was placed on top of a box filled with magic materials. But now, the hive had fallen to the ground.

Angor used his spirit feelers to check and found nothing inside. The Dream Weaver Ant was nowhere to be found.

Where did the Dream Weaver Ant go instead of staying in its nest? His bracelet contained a lot of valuable magic plants, as well as many dangerous items.

Soon, he found a location.

He saw a beehive-like sphere that was constantly moving.

There were no other living creatures inside since Angor took Toby and Freud out of his bracelet. This "beehive" must have something to do with the Dream Weaver Ant.

Angor took a closer look and saw that the "beehive-shaped" orb was a gift given to him by Kanter not long ago.

It was a Soft Larva Nest.

If Angor remembered correctly, there was a Soft Larva egg inside.

When Angor checked the orb with his spirit feelers, he saw the Dream Weaver Ant trying its best to lift the orb, which was dozens of times bigger than itself.

As Angor recalled, ants could move objects that were dozens of times heavier than themselves. Clearly, the Dream Weaver Ant was proof of that.

What's wrong with this Dream Weaver Ant? Why did it come to the nest of a Soft Larva instead of staying in its own nest? And why is it moving?

After making sure the egg was unharmed, Angor decided to observe the situation carefully.

He wanted to see what the Dream Weaver Ant was up to.

Angor soon found the Dream Weaver Ant's destination. It was a small glass bucket.

The inside of this glass barrel was bright red, and it was filled with fresh blood. This was Akeso's essence blood.

Akeso used his own blood to keep Dodoro alive for a thousand years. The entire coffin was filled with Akeso's blood essence. Ever since Dodoro woke up, Angor decided not to waste anything and collected all of the blood essence he got from Dodoro.

But now, the Dream Weaver Ant was pushing the Soft Larva Nest to Akeso's blood essence.

Angor waited for the Dream Weaver Ant's next move.

The Dream Weaver Ant climbed onto the bucket and dug out a small piece of the frozen blood essence. It then crawled back to the nest, found a comfortable spot, hugged the blood essence, and curled up … without moving.

Angor carefully sensed the Dream Weaver Ant and found that it was asleep.

Angor didn't understand why the Dream Weaver Ant was doing this. Was it trying to take over the nest? Didn't it have its own nest? Why didn't it kill the Soft Larva egg after taking over the nest?

Did the Dream Weaver Ant push the nest here just to get closer to Akeso's blood essence?

Akeso's blood essence was a great source of energy for the Dream Weaver Ant?

Angor didn't find any answers to these questions. But it didn't seem to be doing any harm.

Angor decided to let the Dream Weaver Ant do whatever it wanted and observe it for a while.

However, to prevent the Dream Weaver Ant from running around and damaging the other materials, Angor set up a small illusion to trap the Dream Weaver Ant inside.

Next, he took out the parchment scroll given to him by the red-haired woman.

As the sheepskin scroll was slowly opened, a bright red color leaped into his eyes.

Was this … a crown?

There was a painting in the middle of the scroll. It was a painting of a crown that looked extremely complicated and gorgeous.

The crown had an octagonal base, but strangely enough, it was carved out of the back of the crown.

Could it be that this was a queen's crown?

A baby's fist-sized pigeon-blood ruby was embedded in the center of the crown, which was connected by delicate mithril carvings. The crown beads on top of the crown were also made of pigeon-blood rubies, but they were as small as marbles. There were eight of them in total.

Apart from the gemstones, the most important thing about the crown was the faint magic runes engraved on it. Angor did a quick count and found that there were more than six runes.

Clearly, this was an enchantment, and it was a magic array enchantment.

Angor unrolled the scroll and saw nine pigeon-blood rubies at the end. One big and eight small, which corresponded to the number of gemstones on the crown.

The red-haired woman asked Angor to create something identical to the one on the scroll. She didn't ask for the same effect, just something similar.

Angor frowned. Since it looked similar, it wasn't hard to solve.

However, the magic array was a problem.
