Mara did not show up again in the following days. Aleen and Alan began to practice Triangle Channeling, while Angor immersed himself in the questions Jon gave him.

Mara said that knowledge was the most important thing for a wizard. Angor did not know if Professor Jon's knowledge was useful or not, but he knew it could enlighten him and help him look beyond the current situation.

Useful or not. Angor did not care.

He quickly wrote down the complicated formulas and figures on the paper, which soon became yesterday's draft. Every day, Angor had new ideas to solve the questions, from molecules and atoms to magnetic fields and wavebands. Different perspectives brought him different surprises.

As time went by, Angor knew he was getting closer to the correct answer.

One day, Angor put down his quill and rubbed his temples. Angor's brain had been working for half a month. He solved more and more questions and was getting closer to the final answer. He only needed to solve the last ten questions. However, continuously concentrating his mind was a little too much for his head. Especially this morning, he even felt tinnitus and black vision. This meant that his body was already sending him an alert.

Angor could not wait for the answer, but he still stopped. He was 14 years old this year, still in puberty. If his body's internal balance was broken because of a moment of radical action, and the most important period of his life was affected, he would have nowhere to cry.

Professor Jon once told him that his habit in puberty led to a serious illness. After that, his height stagnated at 165 cm. Angor did not know if the professor was telling the truth or just looking for an excuse. But he would rather believe the truth than not believe it, right?

Angor yawned, stretched his arms, and straightened his legs. He looked at the clock hanging on the wall. It was two o 'clock in the afternoon.

Clocks were not common on the Fringe Island, or the Old Earth. Even Padt Manor still used hourglasses. However, on the Fey Continent, clocks were already known to the general public.

Angor pushed open the round cover on the wooden wall and immediately smelled the smell of the ocean.

The round cover was the ship's window. The rooms on the middle floor of The Redbud had windows like this, but the rooms on the bottom floor did not have such a privilege.

The sun was shining brightly, and the ripples on the surface of the sea made their eyes swell. He did not mind the smell of blood. He closed his eyes lazily and enjoyed the gentle sea breeze. His thoughts began to wander.

He recalled the beautiful memories of his childhood, the love of his parents, the care of his elder brother, the teachings of his mentor, and the days when he was a young boy who was immersed in the sea of knowledge. Angor's memories always made him smile. When he left Padt Manor, he didn't take anything with him. Only this memory would stay with him for the rest of his life.

Angor decided to follow Mara to Fey Continent and become a wizard not only to save his teacher, but also to strengthen his family. In the Old Earth, even apprentices were treated much better than royalty and nobles.

Mara had once said that the lifespan of an official Sorcerer was at least five hundred years. If he were to break through, it would not be difficult for him to live for a thousand years. He did not wish to protect his family for a thousand years. At least, he would be satisfied if his family could flourish for less than three generations within a hundred years.

It was peaceful outside. Angor wanted to relax, so he took out a tea bag from his luggage.

The tea bag contained the morning dew after the rain. Back then, Angor divided all the Morning Dew in the manor into two. He gave one to Mara, and kept the rest for himself.

Angor did not like the slightly bitter tea, but he remembered Mara saying that it was a low-level magic plant. He was about to step into the mysterious world of wizards. Drinking some now and then should help him, right?

Angor sipped the tea with his eyes and lips curled up slightly. Even when there was no one around, his every movement, every detail, even the straightening of his back when he held the cup, looked very elegant. This aristocratic temperament had been buried deep in his bones. Coupled with Jon's years of reading and poetry, Angor's temperament had gained some gentleness. The combination of qualities gave him a charming charm.

Well, it would be better if he was older and had a more mature face. Angor looked at the mirror and mumbled to himself.

He finished the cup. As usual, the Morning Dew brought him only bitterness and the taste of grass. It was not bad, but it was not good either.

As for the magic plant effect Mara mentioned, it probably had nothing to do with him.

Chirp, chirp, chirp —

As Angor was thinking about the three flavors of the tea, he heard a bird chirping outside the window, followed by flapping wings.

Angor looked up and saw a strange seabird perched on the windowsill.

The seabird was about the size of two palms. It had grey-brown feathers, red claws, orange beak, and green eyes. All these were the basic characteristics of a seabird. However, Angor found it strange because there were decorations on its body.

It wore a tall white hat on its head and a blue and white bib around its neck. There was also a reflective pattern on the bib. What caught Angor's attention was a small blue bag hanging on the bird's body. It looked like a carrier pigeon in fairy tales.

The seabird chirped and stared at Angor with its green eyes. It seemed to be talking to Angor.

Angor laughed and rolled his eyes. Since there was no one else in the room, he decided to act like a teenager again. He pursed his lips and began to talk to the bird.

The bird chirped again.

Angor grinned. "You said your name is Jig Gu? Interesting. Who's your master? Why did he dress you up so nicely? "

The bird narrowed its eyes and chirped in disdain.

Angor reached out a long finger and tapped the bird's head. "I said you're cool, and your tail is sticking up."

The bird tilted its head and tried to fly away. However, it hesitated and stopped again. It kept chirping as if it wanted something.

Angor did not notice it at all. He kept playing with the bird. While playing with the bird, Angor noticed that the bird's blue satchel had the same pattern as its bib.

The pattern looked like a badge. In the center was a fat woman with purple curly hair who had several layers of fat on her face. The woman had flaming red lips, a small nose, seductive eye makeup, and a mole on her chin. If it was not for the fat on her face, she would be a beautiful woman. Unfortunately, white skin covered all ugliness, while fat ruined everything. On both sides of the pattern, there was a knife and a fork intersecting each other.

It looked strange. Angor wondered what it meant. Was it a family emblem? Angor chuckled. If it was a family emblem, this family was quite ambitious.

If it wasn't the clan emblem, what could it be? Angor did not know. He did not ask for an answer. He quickly threw the question to the back of his mind.

Curiosity was the first virtue of a learner. However, he preferred to use his curiosity to find the truth.

Angor also noticed that the bird's satchel was bulging. There must be something in it. However, Angor did not reach for it. He would not take it without permission in front of the owner, even if the owner of the bag was a sea bird.

The bird was still chirping, but Angor could not talk to it at all. The bird looked frustrated and anxiously paced back and forth by the window.

"Little Jigu, why did you come to my place? Are you hungry or thirsty? "

The bird almost rolled its eyes at Angor when it heard the name "Tweet". However, when it heard Angor's next question, the bird's eyes lit up and quickly nodded. Its little head was like pecking rice.

"So you're hungry. You're so smart. You know how to find your own food." Angor took out a food bag from the drawer and took out some bread. He crushed it and mumbled, "I wonder who your owner is. How did he train you to be so obedient? You can even speak human language and reply."

Angor looked outside the window and saw the endless sea. "I don't see any islands nearby … Is it the pet of a supernatural living on the top floor of The Redbud?"
