Luke went to the second floor of the building. It was a spacious room in the industrial LOFT style, and he could see the entire room clearly.
He walked to a single sofa in a corner and looked at the books and notes scattered around it. After flipping through them for a moment, he had a rough idea of what was going on.
Judging from the books and notes that Johnny Blaze was reading, it seemed that he was looking for information on demons, including religious knowledge, psychology, occultism, modern scientific analysis, and so on.
According to the notes, he clearly hadn't figured out much.
Luke quickly checked Johnny Blaze's place and left a hidden surveillance device before he left.
The results of the search just now basically proved that there was nothing wrong with Johnny.
There were no videos, photos, or written records of him killing or injuring people. He was just a stunt star who liked to court death.
If there was someone he really wanted to kill, the only possible target was himself.
Anyone who played high-risk extreme sports would be suspected of committing suicide.
Luke found a donut shop that was open 24 hours a day and ordered four boxes of donuts.
Blueberry cheesecake, pumpkin, applesauce, chocolate peanut butter, and maple cream were just the common flavors.
There were also unique doughnuts such as tiramisu, hibiscus ginger, and matcha chocolate, which couldn't be missed.
Just like that, Luke sat quietly in a corner and pondered what he had gained tonight.
Firstly, he had finally successfully tested it on a demon from Hell several times, and confirmed the power of one of his greatest trump cards.
On the list of abilities, Elementary Penetration (special mental ability) had impressively appeared next to it.
Elementary Annihilation: Prerequisites: Elementary Penetration and Elementary Telekinesis.
This was the second Elementary ability he had developed after Elementary Telekinesis that had been recognized by the system.
Similar to Elementary Telekinesis, which was a combination of Curve Shooting and Mental Communication, Elementary Annihilation was a combination of Elementary Penetration and Elementary Telekinesis.
Elementary Penetration (special mental ability) came from Mr. Smith, the hitman who had killed Henry Elsworth.
Thinking back, Luke felt that the hundreds of thousands of dollars he had given Mr. Smith back then had been too little.
If he had the chance, Luke wouldn't mind giving Mr. Smith a huge sum of money so that the hitman could live a carefree life.
However, as a down-and-out, middle-aged assassin, Mr. Smith only took a few days to earn a special psychotherapist, Miss Donna, as his wife. He also had the baby Oliver that he personally saved as his son. He even abducted a German Shepherd belonging to the chairman of the Hammerson Defense Company.
His life was quite perfect.
In Mr. Smith's hands, Elementary Penetration was a strange ability that could stab people to death with a carrot.
Luke still didn't know how it worked, but its function was very simple.
That was, in a short instant, when the mind was highly concentrated on an object, it would be bestowed with terrifying penetrative power.
Mr. Smith didn't use this ability to its fullest potential.
Perhaps it was because he did not know how to develop it, or perhaps his spirit was not strong enough, so he could only use things like carrots to stab people.
However, Mr. Smith's marksmanship was too good. Most of the time, he didn't have to use this ability.
Luke, on the other hand, had obtained Elementary Penetration. His Mental Strength had exceeded 20 points, and he practiced analyzing it almost every day.
The "Special Mental Ability" label had been automatically added by the system, and Luke hadn't asked for it.
Most people wouldn't even be recognized as a "Basic" ability by the system, not to mention being given a (Special) evaluation later on.
This also meant that the "Special Mental Ability" label had passed the system's judgment, and was definitely very "special."
That was indeed the case.
After Luke developed Elementary Telekinesis, he harassed the system in every way possible.
Daddy System finally added a small suffix to Elementary Telekinesis: (Mental Ability).
That allowed him to connect Elementary Telekinesis with Elementary Penetration.
After a lot of experiments, Luke finally applied Elementary Penetration to Curve Shooting.
Curve Shooting involved a little bit of telekinesis, and guns were his most common weapons, so it was the easiest for him to experiment with it.
The bullets from a pistol that had been "enhanced" by Elementary Penetration easily pierced through the bulletproof panel that could block bullets from a 7.62mm rifle. Luke was both surprised and delighted.
Wasn't this just an "armor-piercing" skill?
After repeated tests, he was even more certain that the power of Elementary Penetration depended on the ability itself.
For example, if the power of a pistol bullet was 1, and the power of Elementary Penetration was 10, the combined power of the two would be 11.
If the power of a rifle bullet was 5, with Elementary Penetration, the power would become 15.
Of course, this wasn't an accurate description.
Because the theory behind Elementary Penetration wasn't clear, there were often strange deviations during tests.
For example, when Luke casually fired a Glock, the penetrative power of the bullet was ridiculously high — the result was even more exaggerated than when he tested an M500 armor-piercing bullet.
But generally speaking, Elementary Penetration had a minimum value, and using a pistol bullet as a rifle bullet was just the beginning.
Luke had developed this ability, but he had never used it in public.
Because there was no need.
He had never had to use a pistol to pierce through an enemy's bulletproof vest, nor had he encountered an emergency situation where he had to use a rifle bullet to pierce through an armored vehicle.
Thus, he had kept this ability as a trump card, and had kept it hidden.
And this was only the first trump card that Elementary Penetration brought him.
After tinkering with the "armor-piercing enchantment," Luke had a clearer understanding of Elementary Telekinesis and Elementary Penetration.
Thinking in reverse and experimenting many times, he finally used some of Elementary Telekinesis's methods on Elementary Penetration.
At that point, one of Luke's greatest trump cards, "Elementary Annihilation," was officially out.
The armor-piercing enchantment gave bullets the ability to penetrate, and Elementary Annihilation used part of Elementary Penetration's ability to manipulate Telekinesis.
The armor-piercing enchantment only took a short moment for the bullet to penetrate, and it didn't require much of Luke's mental strength.
Elementary Annihilation, on the other hand, required him to use this special mental energy as if it were part of his body.
It could cut an opponent like a sharp blade, and it could also attach itself to him like armor for protection, but the latter was much more difficult than the former.
Elementary Annihilation's greatest characteristics were that it could be sustained and controllable.
It was also a "trump card" that Luke had used to intimidate a certain alien dog head.
Gold Nugget basically ignored ordinary physical attacks, but the first time it tried to form a symbiotic relationship with him, Luke had blasted it out of its body with Elementary Annihilation, which hadn't taken form yet, and forcibly ended the symbiotic process.
