Chapter 764

Words:1866Update:22/06/26 10:55:56

Report

They were Dylan Elsworth, the eldest son of the Elsworths, and Alex Montell, a second-generation European gangster.

Luke had noticed earlier that some of the people who had rescued Alex had appeared in the castle.

During the prison break last night, the car that he had installed a tracker on had indeed entered downtown Sacramento.

That way, he wouldn't have to make another trip to Sacramento.

He dragged the two young masters into the house and took turns beating them until they wailed and screamed. Blood splattered everywhere, and he successfully interrogated them for the information he needed.

Tossing the two young masters aside, he searched the castle again and found the things he was interested in, which he stored in his inventory.

These things weren't money, and there wasn't much in total.

He didn't touch any of the cash or gold in the castle.

Batman wasn't the Ghost Butcher, and he couldn't sweep everything clean, lest he be associated with his other aliases.

Once his righteous persona crumbled, his identity as Batman wouldn't be useful anymore.

Half an hour later, the search was over. He dragged out the two dying young masters and threw them to the two vampires, before he ordered, "Turn them into your slaves."

The two vampires were weak and didn't seem to be able to move.

Luke didn't waste any time. He simply took out a glass bottle and threw it into the mouth of one of the vampires, before he shut his jaw.

With a crack, the glass bottle shattered, and the liquid inside filled the vampire's mouth. The strong smell of garlic wafted out.

The vampire screamed and struggled on the ground for a moment, before his head exploded and he couldn't be more dead.

Taking out another bottle of concentrated garlic essence, Luke sneered. "Aliens, you're not human!"

He had just pulled the other vampire over. The lucky one who hadn't been picked earlier quickly gave in. "No, I'll do it. I'll do it right away."

Sneering, Luke tossed the vampire next to the two tycoons and watched as the vampire embraced Dylan and Alex.

A moment later, the two young masters showed the status of vampire slaves. He nodded in satisfaction and jumped to the top of the stone castle.

He took out a prepaid phone, sent a text message to the number on Phil's business card, and threw the phone on the ground.

After doing all that, Luke leaped away from this den of devils.

In the morning, Selina walked out of the training room. "You're back?"

"Well, what do you want to eat today?" asked Luke, who had just finished showering.

Gold Nugget answered quickly, "Woof."

Luke said, "Fine, let's make it simple. Let's have steamed seafood."

Selina glanced at him. "If you're busy, let it eat raw. There's still a lot of tuna."

Gold Nugget whimpered in dissatisfaction.

Luke shook his head with a smile. "No, I won't be too busy today."

Perhaps he wouldn't be busy for a few days. He muttered in his heart.

Twenty minutes later, Luke watched the news at home and asked with a smile, "How's it going?"

"The explosion at St. Post Hospital is on the news, and it's suspected to be a terrorist attack. Dustin's fine. SWAT and the Major Crimes Division are on their way, "said Selina.

Luke asked, "Where's Batman?"

Selina had a strange expression on her face. "There's only the image of him grabbing the two monsters. There's no image of him cutting off the monster's arm or the two helicopters taking over."

Luke didn't think much of it.

Last night, the pictures and article that Little Snail had posted on the Internet had disappeared without a trace, and had only existed for less than ten minutes.

But he had achieved his goal.

No one could be sure that Batman wouldn't see the relevant information in just a few minutes.

Or perhaps someone else had saved the pictures and information and sent them to Batman.

In any case, Luke knew that Batman had definitely seen the big news.

At nine in the morning, in Stark Industrial Park.

Two middle-aged men sat opposite each other in a secluded corner.

"This is all I can afford with my salary. Please don't mind," Phil said with a smile as he took a bite of his cheeseburger.

Flegg smiled and took a bite of his burger as well. "I didn't expect you to treat me to a 50-dollar special. We're not rich."

Phil nodded with a smile.

"You stayed up late? It's just a special target. There's no need for you to work so hard, right? "Flegg asked as he looked at the dark circles under Phil's eyes.

Phil continued to smile. "There's a lot of work. If I don't deal with this quickly, there'll be even more work later."

Of course, he wouldn't tell Flegg that he had received an unexpected message in the early hours of the morning, and had no choice but to work overtime overnight. He had mobilized all his team members, and had caught six vampires and over a hundred disabled people in one go.

If this wasn't handled well, it would cause a huge commotion.

SHIELD wasn't an American law enforcement agency. If they rashly touched an upper-class American like the Elsworth family, it would easily cause the US government to be displeased.

If Flegg was the one who went, it would be easier to deal with this matter.

Unfortunately, Phil couldn't give Flegg what he had.

He knew a lot about Flegg's organization.

If those vampires fell into the hands of that organization, they would be a great danger to society, and an even greater threat to SHIELD.

It was also for this reason that even though he was very busy and tired, he still came on time to chat with Flegg for half an hour in case the latter noticed anything unusual.

He was going to have breakfast anyway, and pack some food for his team members who were working overtime.

Flegg couldn't see through Phil, but he knew that it was useless to play bureaucratic games with Phil. This man was far better at talking than he was.

After the small talk, he went straight to the point. "We're interested in Batman. We hope you won't interfere."

Phil smiled. "Is that a warning?"

Flegg hesitated for a moment, then shook his head. "Just a reminder."

Phil nodded. "Got it."

After a brief hesitation, Flegg said, "What do you want? Name your conditions. "

Phil pondered for a moment, but finally shook his head. "Flegg, we're old friends. I don't want this to ruin our friendship. So, I can tell you clearly that we won't be recruiting Batman anytime soon. "

Stunned for a moment, Flegg frowned. "Do you want to arrest him?"

Phil shook his head again. "Not for the time being. We'll keep an eye on him at most. He's a very complicated person. We won't act rashly until we have a more accurate assessment. "

Flegg was starting to believe him.

Phil was very experienced. He handled everything steadily, didn't offend many people, and had a lot of good friends.

If it were anyone else, they would've agreed to Flegg's conditions without hesitation.

But Phil didn't take advantage of him, and spoke bluntly.

Flegg raised his Coke and said, "Okay, my treat next time."

Phil raised his black tea with a smile. "It's a deal."

That was what Flegg meant when he said he owed him a favor.
