Looking at Erica, who was pouting on the ground, Jessica's lips twitched. She didn't say anything, before she looked at Alexandra.
Alexandra's expression, however, didn't change at all. She was still smiling.
"Get down!" Matt suddenly roared.
Everybody subconsciously did as they were told.
Creak! There was the sound of brakes screeching at the door.
Bang! Bang! Bang!
A series of bullets were fired from the street, shattering the glass of the Chinese restaurant and sending debris flying everywhere inside.
Alexandra was still smiling casually as she stood in a corner, completely safe from being hit.
Matt and the others could only hide in the corner, not daring to stick their heads out.
Cage was the only one who wasn't afraid of bullets, but it wasn't comfortable to be hit, and his eyes were in mortal danger.
He wasn't an idiot. Naturally, he wouldn't stand up and take a bullet on his own.
A moment later, a dozen masked men with submachine guns and rifles charged in.
A short Asian man ran behind the gangsters with a cane. The smile on his face was like that of an auntie visiting her neighbor's house.
She looked at Alexandra, who was hiding in a corner. Receiving a nod from her, the old woman withdrew her gaze. "Arrest him."
Her calm tone was domineering, which formed a sharp contrast with her appearance.
After she said that, the criminals continued to open fire and suppress Matt and the others. At the same time, a few of them ran to Daniel's location.
In the midst of the chaos, the old woman with the cane vaguely sensed that something wasn't right out of the corner of her eye.
She subconsciously glanced at it, and her pupils constricted.
Alexandra, who was standing in a corner … was gone.
Her gaze lingered for a moment before she looked elsewhere, but she still didn't see Alexandra.
Could it be that I've been used as a weapon? The old woman was bewildered, but she didn't think it made sense.
Erica was here. Although she had just gotten up from a plate of mapo tofu, she was wiping her face with a tablecloth.
If this "secret weapon" was still here, how could Alexandra have slipped away?
Suddenly, she sensed a huge black mass out of the corner of her eye. She looked over, and her breath stopped.
A giant black hand lifted up and pointed its index finger at her. "All of you are guilty!"
The old woman's face changed greatly as she roared, "Open fire! Hit him!"
But it was too late.
The moment Luke said that, he swept his other hand across his waist, and several black shadows spun and flew out at the criminals in the restaurant.
A series of screams rang out. Most of the bandits curled up their bloody hands, and a few of them had lost two fingers.
Along with them were the guns in their hands.
Only the four criminals at the back stood in front of the old woman and subconsciously blocked a bat dart that flew at them.
Then, two of them felt a sharp pain in their thighs, and their bodies involuntarily fell to their knees. The two behind them, however, clutched the bat darts that had just been inserted into their abdomens, and fell to the ground, screaming in pain.
A huge black shadow with a cape whipped up a gust of wind in the narrow space and suddenly pounced in front of the old woman.
The old woman's face was as gloomy as water, and the walking stick in her right hand suddenly rose up.
A sharp Mitsubishi spike shot out from the originally flat end of the staff and stabbed at Luke's chest like a meteor.
Luke raised his hand, and with a clang, the sword-like alloy walking stick was knocked away as he continued to grip the old woman's neck.
The old woman, however, had already expected this. She abruptly twisted her body and pulled back her left hand, drawing a huge arc in the air as she shouted, "Break!"
Bang!
With a dull and explosive sound, the old woman's palm pressed against the bat armor's abdomen, and a faint yellow light flashed where the two touched.
A wave of air spread out from the armor and her palm, causing the clothes of the people around them to flutter.
Everyone was shocked; they hadn't expected her palm to be so powerful. The old woman's expression, however, instantly changed as she sensed that something wasn't right.
Her palm, which contained an extremely high amount of "qi," didn't directly break the armor. The "qi" that seeped in was like a clay ox disappearing into the ocean, and Batman didn't stop at all.
"Uh ~" The old woman's breathing stagnated as she was grabbed by the neck by a huge black hand and lifted up like an old hen.
His blood-red lenses flashed in front of her as he looked around at the other criminals in the shop. "The Hand, guilty."
As he spoke, he waved his hand, and the ten bat darts in the room suddenly flew back, including the ones that had been inserted into the criminals' bodies, as if they had been summoned.
His fingers spread out and, as if he was plucking the strings of a zither, he plucked at the bat darts that flew back one after another, causing them to spin at an even faster speed.
With the sound of a sharp blade cutting through the air, all the criminals' legs were crippled, and they all screamed.
Luke smiled inwardly. It turned out that they were just regular criminals and not resurrected ninjas. No wonder they all used guns and liked to scream so much.
He turned to look at Erica, who was holding a knife and on guard but didn't dare run at all. "You, guilty."
Erica's name was red in the system, and she was a pillar of evil.
Matt's heart skipped a beat when he heard that. "Wait, she's only being controlled by the Hand …"
The blind old man beside him interrupted him, "No, she is Ebon Noir, the strongest weapon of the Hand. Erica was just its vessel. She's already dead, and you buried her. "
Matt was surprised. "That's impossible. Didn't you say that the Hand's blood sacrifice didn't succeed, and Black Sky wasn't awakened? "
The blind old man sneered. "Because Alexandra used the last of her resources on her. The success rate isn't high, but she clearly succeeded. Naturally, there wasn't a need for a blood sacrifice. "
Hearing her name, Erica's eyes were blank for a moment, but she quickly regained her composure.
She raised her katana again, and her body was already in the most suitable posture for an attack. Her target … was naturally Batman.
In the next moment, several dark arcs of light cut through the air at Luke.
Luke pulled out a rope dart from his waist and threw it at her.
He was very interested in this "Black Sky" that Matt's ex-girlfriend had turned into. He just wanted to capture her alive.
Erica didn't dodge, but her body blurred for a moment, and the rope dart passed through her without touching anything.
Surprised, Luke raised his empty left hand to meet the black katana.
But the black katana also blurred for an instant and flashed past his hand. It wasn't stopped either, and continued to slash at him.
His blood-red lenses lit up, and all the scanning functions locked onto Erica in front of him. Luke's huge black hand quickly turned over and slapped down.
Clang!
The black katana was knocked away, and Erica rolled back to dodge Luke's kick to the groin before she resumed her vigilant posture.
Luke had a rough idea of what was going on.
