The fourth volume is the one I'm very satisfied with.
"Since ancient times, which one of the heroes wasn't a husband?"
When I wrote this poem, I didn't have a suitable image in my mind. In all the movies and novels I've seen, there's no image that fits perfectly.
When I started to think of the fourth volume of the Red Heart Survey and chose to name it Heroes, I wanted to write this image.
Thus, there was Yin Guan who turned the rugged path into a path to heaven and became a god in front of Yue Leng.
There was Guan Yan who saw the flower of bliss, never becoming a Buddha in this life.
There was a sword that broke the path of life and death, who in the world is worthy of me turning back?
Zhang Linchuan created the Lifeless Path, Miaoyu unified the Fragrance Restaurant.
Thus, there was Zhuang Gaoxian and Du Ruhui who planned for many years and fought with all their might. Du Yehu planted the flag at the Dragon Sealing Pass and returned the humiliation of a hundred years.
There was Han Xu who endured for a hundred years and asked the Zhenren to die. He took power and reformed the court, becoming the only representative of the Mohist Sect in the world.
There was Lin Zhengren who destroyed his own family to seek a better future, scheming against Zhu Weiwo.
There was Zhu Weiwo who fought to the death to repay the kindness of grooming him and betrayed the country to avenge the destruction of the city.
There was Dong Ali who fought to the death …
There was Li Jianqiu who couldn't protect his family and country, Fu Baosong who held the Dao.
There was Ye Xiaohua who wanted to soar to the sky, Song Hengjiang who sacrificed his whole life for the clan.
There was the White Bone God who set up a game every few hundred years. He didn't fight against those opponents, but the entire world.
There was Zhuang Chengqian who deceived the gods and played the heroes of the world in the palm of his hand. Lie Yong, Lianjing, Play Qin, and made the Qingjiang Water Clan loyal to him. He used the White Bone Path and overturned it. He used the gods to drive them away … His story was too exciting, but limited by the space, it couldn't be fully described.
Of course, there was also our Jiang Wang who never gave up.
He fell into despair again and again, stood up again and again, was knocked down again and again, but pulled out his sword again and again.
He faced the undefeated general, the hero who founded the country, and such a terrifying opponent.
He used his calmness, genius, determination, and tenacity to break all the impossibilities. His heart didn't change, and he killed the soul with one sword.
This was the act of a hero.
There was the four directions of the world, from ancient times to the present.
At the end of the paper, I was challenging myself with a new level of difficulty.
I wanted to use a series of reversals, in the midst of endless hope and despair, to write a truly desperate situation.
It was written to the point where even readers with a god's perspective could not see any hope and could not think of a solution. Only then would he be able to see the hero Jiang Wang.
In the turbulent seas, the true colors of a hero are revealed.
He was the greatest hero among heroes, the greatest hero among heroes!
However, this kind of constant reversal was easier said than written!
The continuous twists and turns at the end of the book had to be surprising and logical at the same time. The foreshadowing had to be followed up with the historical background of the entire Zhuang Country. The characters had to be established and the story had to be written brilliantly.
What increased the difficulty was that these reversals only existed between Zhuang Chengqian and Jiang Wang. This also meant that I needed to lay down enough foreshadowing in order to have room to maneuver later. At the same time, these twists and turns were all part of Zhuang Chengqian's plan. Zhuang Chengqian's plot was entangled with the White Bone God's plot. Jiang Wang had to constantly walk on the edge of life and death, seizing that undetectable sliver of light …
There had to be enough tension, enough pressure, logical, surprising, and enlightening. It had to be enough to make people feel as if their hearts were being scratched by a hundred claws. It had to be enough to make people feel deeply moved …
Reversing the situation wasn't difficult for me. The difficult part was that I had to take care of everything. The difficult part was that I had to do everything to the best of my ability.
Every word was painstaking effort.
At the end of the book, I also received very enthusiastic feedback.
I remembered that when I was discussing with the readers in the reader group, I saw that the chapter at that time had more than five hundred subscriptions, but there were more than a hundred comments. None of them were bad, and all of them were praising me.
Many of the lurking readers came out to praise me for the first time.
Based on this ratio, it could almost be said that this book moved all the readers.
That was enough. Writing was to find a soulmate. My efforts were not in vain.
Up until now, the most common problem raised by the readers was that there were not enough updates.
However, I was already writing every day. Every day, I would write a chapter in the morning, another chapter in the afternoon, and two chapters in the evening. If I had to go out to do something that day, I would have to stay up late.
This was not my first day writing like this. I had been writing like this for a year. If there were more updates, I would definitely not be able to guarantee the current quality. For a book like 'Heroes', if I was in a rush, it would be out of control. The dense plot lines intertwined within a small space. If I was distracted, it would be a mess. The novel would collapse.
If I could write more while ensuring the quality, why wouldn't I be willing? I could at least earn some money to supplement my living expenses. After all, online serializations were charged based on the number of words, not the quality.
If there was any regret in this book.
It might be because of Han Xu.
The Collapse of the Nine Dragons was actually a chapter that I liked very much. Although it was not as deep in my heart as the rainy night in Xin 'an City, it was still a very vivid picture.
I did not expect that so many readers did not trust me. As for the ending of that plot, I chose to leave it out. It did not reach the fullest and most mellow state.
But it was also very good.
So be it. It was inevitable that there would be regrets in life.
It was the same for people, literature, love, and ideals.
…
It had been a full year since I started writing the Red Heart Survey. At first, I said that I was prepared to not earn a single cent for two years and to finish writing this novel properly.
At that time, I had savings. I handed over two physical books to the editor. The script was to be made into a movie. I had just won an award and rejected it because I was indignant about the shady dealings. I was arrogant and thought that talent was enough.
I did not expect that I would be influenced by haters as soon as I started writing. Then there was the epidemic. I stopped filming the movie. The number of the physical book was still stuck …
I did not know how I wrote until now.
Perhaps the novel itself was healing me.
No matter how many troubles there were in the outside world, when I entered the world of the novel, I was free from all the joys and sorrows of the characters. I forgot about myself.
In the process of writing the novel, I received the highest praise and joy.
So, there was no need to say anything more.
I have done the best I could. The rest, I will leave to the readers and time.
I believe that a work of mine will not fade and will be able to withstand the erosion of time.
I do not want to write something that is purely for you to pass the time and read ten lines at a glance. As I said in the introduction to the first chapter of the book, --
I hope that this book can give you the courage to face life head-on. It can give you strength when you are in trouble. It can give you direction when you are lost. At the very least, it can give you companionship when you are lonely.
I hope that ten or twenty years later, it will still be worth reading. Many years later, you will come back to read this book again, just like how you flipped through your precious memories.
I hope that we can all love life and persevere in our dreams.
From the beginning to the end.
…
The name of the next volume was "Difficult to Walk."
I originally planned to call it "Wrong Path." It corresponded to a new magical power and represented a new beginning. But it was easy to create ambiguity. It seemed like our Jiang Wang was about to turn evil. So I changed it and named it "Difficult to Walk."
Jiang Wang's journey was not easy. The journey of writing this book was also very difficult.
But there were always people supporting me. I always had hope.
I wrote, "Difficult to Walk, Difficult to Walk, This body will only go to higher places."
And the name of this volume was because of Li Bai's "Difficult to Walk, Difficult to Walk, Many Wrong Paths. There will be times when the wind and waves will break, and the sail will sail straight to the vast sea! "
Life is full of setbacks, but it does not diminish the charm of a poet immortal.
The world is full of difficulties, but I am born with talent!
I encourage you together.
