Wu Xie could not see the man's face in the darkness, but she could clearly hear the crisp sound of the chains hitting against each other.
This man, was he chained up? In the depths of the cave?
The moment the man opened his mouth, the little black cat turned into smoke and entered Wu Xie's body. This man made it feel very dangerous.
"You're chained up?" Wu Xie ignored the teasing words, her mind was filled with only one thought, this man may be able to help her, provided that ….. he could move freely.
"Huh? Are you talking about these little things? " The man in the dark pulled on the chains, his voice echoing in the dark cave. "Sort of."
"I'll let you go, you save me." Wu Xie gritted her teeth, her whole body was shivering. As a doctor, she estimated that she would not be able to hold on for much longer. The loss of heat and the deterioration of her body was constantly dragging her towards the abyss of death.
The man in the dark did not speak, he seemed to be surprised that this half-dead little guy would actually say such a thing.
The man's silence was taken as a tacit agreement by Wu Xie, regardless of whether the man agreed or not, she had to try.
She used her hands to support herself as she approached the man in the darkness. Wu Xie fumbled with her hair and pulled out a thin hairpin. She was a Miracle Doctor, not a Godly Thief. She was not proficient in picking locks, and she only knew a little about it. Some idiot who had died for her had once shown her how to do it, and she did not know if she could still use it now.
In the dark, Wu Xie's little hands touched the man's body, in terms of a doctor's "touch", his physical fitness was definitely top notch.
Struggling to feel the chains that bound the man's limbs, Wu Xie calmly learned the skills that a certain someone had used before.
Wu Xie had never felt so clumsy before.
After struggling for a long time, she had only managed to free one lock, and this one lock had already exhausted all her strength.
"As you wish." The man who had been silent for a long time spoke again, with a low smile, his voice echoed throughout the cave.
Before Wu Xie could react to what the man was saying, she heard a series of cracking sounds. The man who had one of the shackles released suddenly exerted his strength and broke the other three shackles. Wu Xie was directly pulled into a pair of strong arms.
The man broke free from the shackles and rushed out of the cave with Wu Xie in his arms.
Outside the cave, the rain continued to fall, and the light illuminated everything.
Under the light, the mysterious man's appearance was revealed in front of her.
His chiseled face was as handsome as if he was born. His long black satin hair casually draped over his shoulders. Crystal clear rainwater flowed down the perfect curve of his neck and onto his chest. It was as if he was the most outstanding work of heaven.
The man who was looking up at the sky seemed to sense a certain little fellow's gaze. He lowered his head slightly, his violet eyes narrowed slightly, and the corners of his lips curled up slightly.
Wu Xie looked indifferently at that pair of devilish purple eyes, without a trace of expression.
The pitter-patter of rain fell on her pale cheeks and wet her long eyelashes. She just calmly and almost emotionlessly looked at the evildoer in front of her.
The purple-eyed man raised his eyebrows at the little fellow's unusual reaction.
She was the first person who didn't scream when she saw his eyes.
"Aren't you afraid?" A low, husky voice rang in Wu Xie's ears with a seductive power.
"I'm going to die." Jun Wu Xie reminded him of the promise she had made with him. Her dark and calm eyes looked straight into the pair of purple eyes. There was no pleading, no fear. There was only calmness like the surface of water. It was as if the death she was talking about was not her.
