Jun Wu Xie's days in the Spirit Jade Palace were carefree and easy. After the farce the last time, it was not known how the Spirit Jade Palace Lord had explained it to the "shocked" girls, but the disciples had just accepted the devilishly handsome man and the cold and arrogant youth that occasionally appeared in Jun Wu Xie's room.
With that acceptance, the disciples who came to deliver food to Jun Wu Xie's room daily began to change. After they delivered the food, they did not immediately run away shyly, but would hold the food boxes in their hands and wait till the door opened before they handed the food over with their faces flushed red. The person who received the food boxes, was never Jun Wu Xie, or Poppy, or Drunk Lotus. Sometimes, it was even a petite and adorable little cutie.
Every three meals, the girls who delivered the food were always different …..
Granny Yue often stood at the door to Jun Wu Xie's courtyard, to look at the young girls who were covering their faces with their hands as they took small, quick steps, and she sighed heavily.
"My Lord, are the two girls in Young Master Jun's room the same as the one you have?" Granny Yue came to the Spirit Jade Palace Lord's room and asked sincerely.
The Spirit Jade Palace Lord was lying on his side upon the soft couch, his head propped up with one hand, his other hand holding an ancient tome as he flipped through it. When he heard Granny Yue's question, he did not even lift his eyelids but merely gave a lazy grunt of acknowledgment.
"Should we inform the others in the palace about this?" Granny Yue asked worriedly.
"No need." The Spirit Jade Palace Lord replied lazily.
Granny Yue saw her Palace Lord's leisurely reaction and her heart was already filled with unspeakable bitterness. She stared at the girls' faces filled with peach blossoms and she was really feeling rather worried.
When the Spirit Jade Palace Lord saw that Granny Yue had not left, he put down the tome in his hand and sat up.
"There's still two more days before the Battle of Deities Grand Meet begins. He won't be able to stay here for much longer so there's no need to trouble yourself." A plant type ring spirit to people like them, was a blessing and a curse. Even for his Tenacious Snow Plum Blossom, the people who knew about it were only the few trusted aides who had always been by his side and the other disciples of the Spirit Jade Palace did not know about it.
The Spirit Jade Palace Lord did not intend for Jun Wu Xie's ring spirit attribute to be exposed.
"Yes." Granny Yue nodded. It wasn't that she was displeased with Jun Xie, but on the contrary, she highly admired the quiet and composed youth. Jun Xie gave her a sense of security, and he would not be as rude and impetuous as the other youths. When Jun Xie had agreed not to wander about, ever since Jun Xie had moved into that courtyard, he had not taken a single step out of it, and he had not even stepped out of the courtyard often.
Two days passed in the blink of an eye and Jun Wu Xie packed up her things a day before the Battle of Deities Grand Meet started, preparing to set off from the Spirit Jade Palace.
Before she left, the Spirit Jade Palace Lord personally sent her off in the Outer Palace.
When he saw Jun Wu Xie, the Spirit Jade Palace Lord's eyes trembled slightly.
"I have troubled you for the past few days." Jun Wu Xie looked at the Spirit Jade Palace Lord and nodded her head politely.
The Spirit Jade Palace Lord's gaze rested upon the figure of Jun Wu Xie. After a moment, he suddenly gave a light laugh as he crossed his arms over his chest and tilted his head slightly, the corners of his mouth curling up into a lazy smile. "You don't have to thank me. I was just making things convenient for you. You, on the other hand, have not wasted this period of time."
Jun Wu Xie nodded her head slightly and turned around, intending to leave.
The Spirit Jade Palace Lord seemed to have thought of something and he suddenly said: "Could it be that the people in the Lower Realm are all like you, gifted with extraordinary gifts?"
Jun Wu Xie's steps paused slightly but she did not say a word as she walked out through the main doors.
Within the main hall, Zi Jin hid behind a pillar as she stared at the departing back.
