And after the Dark Regions had gone into seclusion, this place had become a land divided between the Twelve Palaces and the Nine Temples.

On Mount Fu Yao, besides the Battle of Deities Grand Meet that was held once every ten years, there was also a highly unique academy. That academy was jointly built by the Twelve Palaces and the Nine Temples, with the sole purpose of making it easier for them to groom more outstanding members. And in order to be admitted into that academy, the only criterion was that one must receive an invitation from any one of the Nine Temples or the Twelve Palaces.

Looking at the academy as a whole, its purpose was to nurture more talents for the Nine Temples and the Twelve Palaces, and use the Battle of Deities Grand Meet to unearth more resources.

That was the reason why so many people in the Middle Realm wanted to rack their brains, just to show their faces in the Battle of Deities Grand Meet.

Jun Wu Xie retracted her gaze. Back when she was in the Clear Breeze City, she had still been able to handle the Flame Demons Palace's Elders with ease. But Jun Wu Yao had told her that she was still a distance away from the Palace Lords of the Twelve Palaces. Mount Fu Yao was a place highly suitable for her to cultivate and if she could, she would not mind using this time to make herself even stronger!

The Twelve Palaces and the Nine Temples were all extremely stringent in their admission requirements and even those who were victorious in the Battle of Deities Grand Meet would need to cultivate for a period of time upon Mount Fu Yao before they would be qualified to become one of them.

And Jun Wu Xie's objective for coming here this time was very simple. She had already arranged for Qiao Chu and the others to go out and fight for a place in the Battle of Deities Grand Meet. With their current powers, it would not be difficult for them to display their prowess in the Battle of Deities Grand Meet and when anyone from the Twelve Palaces extended an olive branch to them, they would then follow suit and sneak in.

These were the Soul Chasing Nails that Jun Wu Xie had planted within the Twelve Palaces!

As for herself, Jun Wu Xie didn't mind playing around with the people from the Twelve Palaces a little. Unfortunately, her ring spirit was unique and it was hard to guarantee that no one from the Twelve Palaces would discover that she was the owner of a plant ring spirit. Hence, Jun Wu Xie decided to temporarily be a manipulator behind the scenes and observe the powers in the Middle Realm before making any further plans.

The figure of Jun Wu Xie quietly disappeared into the crowd, bypassing the crowd, to slip into the forest which was difficult to traverse.

Evading the line of sight of others, Jun Wu Xie's figure had already turned into a streak of purple spirit light, moving swiftly up Mount Fu Yao!

If she had climbed with just her two legs, to reach the top of the mountain, she would need at least a day's time. But Jun Wu Xie had only used one hour and she had already reached the middle of the mountain.

Compared to the spiritual energy at the foot of the mountain, the spiritual energy here was much denser. Jun Wu Xie stopped in her tracks within a dense forest, to enjoy the fresh air in the wilderness.

Suddenly, a burnt smell wafted over from not too far away. Jun Wu Xie's eyes turned and she walked towards the source of the smell.

Amidst the green hills, a stream passed through the dense forest and flowed down slowly. Beside the clear stream, Jun Wu Xie could faintly see a small figure standing on the grass and beside his feet was a pile of scorched black grass.

"Ahhh!! Why is it wrong again? " A pitiful scream suddenly sounded. Standing at the side of the stream was a little old man who looked to be over fifty years of age. His back was hunched, his frame small and skinny, looking just like a ten year old child at first glance. But that long white beard and the wrinkles all over his face betrayed his age.

The little old man held a walking stick in one hand as he stared mournfully at the pile of scorched black grass. He stared at the patch of grass before him for a long while before he turned around dejectedly and pulled out a large bunch of herbs from the basket he carried on his back.
