Science and engineering was the most popular major in Tsing University. It ranked first among all the major universities in the country.
Huo Yao randomly searched for a book on bioinformatics before returning to her seat.
Bioinformatics used computers to analyze a series of data links such as genomics and systems biology to sift out unusual genetic data.
Data analysis was as difficult as the other majors in the Biology Faculty. Moreover, it was difficult to find a job after graduation, so relatively few people chose this major.
However, this was the information age, and it was the trend to rely on computers to analyze data. Therefore, Huo Yao did not mind being assigned to this major.
Since she had some basic knowledge in medicine, she could make up for her lack of knowledge by studying information and data analysis.
It was very quiet in the library, and few people were talking. The only sound that could be heard was the rustling of pages being flipped.
Huo Yao finished reading a third of the book in her hands within ten minutes. She lowered her head and did not pay attention to her surroundings.
Jiang Mingyue brought her juniors to the library to look for some information.
She walked over to the bookshelf in the science and engineering section and ran her fair fingers through the rows of books. She looked around but only found one book. There was another one that she did not see.
She frowned. "That's weird. Has the book on data analysis been borrowed?" murmured Jiang Mingyue.
The junior next to her glanced at her. As Jiang Mingyue's voice was rather soft, she did not hear it clearly. "Senior, what did you say?"
Jiang Mingyue's eyes landed on the bookshelf. She scanned it again and said regretfully, "I think the book I'm looking for has been borrowed."
"Why don't you go ask when it was borrowed?" asked the junior softly. Hacking
Jiang Mingyue smiled and shook her head. She looked very gentle and said, "It's fine. I'll look for some information on this book first."
She paused before she said to the junior, "Go find the book you want and reserve a seat. I'll look through the other books and come back later."
"Okay." The junior nodded and turned to leave.
Jiang Mingyue went over to the librarian to ask if the book she was looking for had been borrowed.
The librarian was quite familiar with Jiang Mingyue because this girl came to the library to read books every day. She was famous for her good attitude towards learning. He flipped through the register. "It hasn't been borrowed. It should be another student reading it."
When Jiang Mingyue heard this, she nodded politely. "Thank you, teacher. I'll borrow it after I'm done."
"You're welcome." The administrator smiled.
Jiang Mingyue didn't disturb the librarian's work. Soon, she walked away, grabbed a book in her hand, and walked over to her seat.
The freshman had already found a place. When she saw Jiang Mingyue walking over, she stood up and waved at her.
Her seat happened to be right in front of Huo Yao's. When Jiang Mingyue looked up, Huo Yao did not notice her because her head was lowered and she was reading.
After approaching, Jiang Mingyue was just about to sit down when her gaze inadvertently swept over the seat behind her. When she saw the somewhat familiar silhouette, she was slightly startled.
Why did he bump into this girl in the library?
Jiang Mingyue's eyes landed on the top of Huo Yao's head for a few seconds before she narrowed her eyes and looked at the book Huo Yao was reading.
