Min Yu went to the fridge and took out a bottle of water. He opened the cap and handed it to Huo Yao. "They have their own things to do."

His voice sounded rather calm at the mention of Zhuo Yun.

"Oh," acknowledged Huo Yao. She took the water and took a sip.

Min Yu sat down on the couch and leaned back lazily. "You don't have to feel restrained at my place. Just treat it like your own home and do whatever you want."

Huo Yao glanced at him sideways and commented sincerely. "Boss, you are so generous."

Min Yu's lips twitched. He changed the topic. "You don't seem like the type of person to stay away from home. Did something happen at home?"

Huo Yao picked up a pillow and placed it in front of her chest. She rested her chin on the pillow lazily and snuggled into the couch softly. She said softly, "We have a guest."

Min Yu smiled ambiguously. "It seems like your guest is quite important."

Huo Yao waved her hand and did not want to talk about it. "Let me take a nap in peace."

She closed her eyes. Her exquisite face looked peaceful and harmless, and she did not seem to be on guard.

Min Yu's eyes glanced at her calmly. He smiled but did not say a word. Instead, he picked up a book on the coffee table and started reading.

Apart from the occasional sound of pages being flipped, the entire living room was peaceful and serene. It was wonderful yet not out of place.

Min Yu's phone beeped once during the process. He took a look at it and switched his phone to silent mode before placing it on the coffee table.

So much so that he missed Old Master Min's call.

Time ticked by. Huo Yao had only wanted to take a nap, but she ended up falling asleep for real. If the phone in her pocket had not woken her up, she would have slept for a longer time.

She took out her phone with sleepy eyes. She looked at the caller ID and paused for two seconds before she picked up the call. "Hello, Old Man..."

Min Yu had just come downstairs with a blanket when he heard Huo Yao calling him 'Old Man'. He was slightly stunned. He walked forward unhurriedly until he stopped by the sofa armrest next to Huo Yao.

Huo Yao did not say much to Old Master Min and quickly hung up.

Min Yu looked up. Just as he was about to speak, his eyes inadvertently landed on the phone in her hand.

The backlight on the phone screen was still on, and the screen showed the recent calls page.

The phone number at the top … Min Yu had a strange expression on his face. He put the blanket aside and asked, "Is someone looking for you?"

Huo Yao put her phone away and got up from the couch. She stretched her arms and said, "I'm going home."

"Why are you leaving so soon? Don't you want to stay a little longer?" Min Yu looked at her and asked softly.

Huo Yao adjusted her jacket and said lazily, "Nah. I'm going back to do my homework."

Seeing this, Min Yu didn't try to persuade him to stay.

He walked Huo Yao to the iron gates of the villa and watched as Huo Yao walked away. After she went in, he turned around and returned to the living room.

Min Yu narrowed his eyes as he recalled the phone number he had seen on the kid's phone. He picked up his phone from the coffee table.

Opening it, there were several messages and two missed calls.

They were all from his grandfather who 'ran away from home'.

Min Yu did not call Old Master Min back after he read the messages. Instead, he ran his long fingers across the screen and pondered for a moment before he replied.

[You are at the Huo residence.]

His tone was positive.
