Huo Yao sat in the front passenger seat. She was not playing with her phone. Instead, she rested her hands on her knees. A few stray strands of hair fell down her cheeks, and she looked elegant and peaceful.
Huo Yulin leaned his head against the seat and glanced at the rearview mirror from time to time.
His biological sister was different from what he had imagined. She was casual, calm, and had a languid aura about her. She did not have the arrogance of a typical girl.
Huo Yulin cleared his throat and broke the silence in the car. "How long will the competition last?"
Huo Yao glanced sideways at him and said unhurriedly, "Two days."
After two seconds of silence, Huo Yulin said slowly, "Uh huh. I'll arrange for someone to show you around when I have time," said Huo Yulin slowly.
Huo Yao raised her hand and tucked a stray strand of hair behind her ear. She did not take it to heart when Huo Yulin said that he would arrange for someone to take him around instead of him. She replied calmly. "It's fine. The teachers should have other arrangements."
On the way here, Second Brother had told her about Third Brother's personality.
He was eccentric and had a cold temperament. He disliked people getting close to him and even more disliked coming into contact with others. He had always been slightly autistic.
If it weren't for the pressure from his family, he probably wouldn't have appeared at the airport today.
Huo Yulin glanced at Huo Yao's nonchalant expression in the rearview mirror and opened his mouth. After some time, he explained slowly. "I'm not used to crowded places."
Huo Yao acknowledged softly. "It's fine. Brother Yulin, go on with your work. I will explain it to Mom and Dad."
Huo Yulin heaved a sigh of relief.
Silence returned to the car. Huo Yao took out her phone and lowered her head. Her slender fingers tapped on the screen gently. Before long, she sent her parents a WeChat message to inform them that she had arrived safely.
Huo Yulin glanced at his little sister from the corner of his eye. In his heart, he labeled her as a considerate person.
Before long, the car arrived at the hotel the school had booked.
Huo Yao opened the door and got out of the car. She automatically went to the trunk to take out her luggage. Huo Yulin wanted to help her, but there was nothing there.
