Half an hour later, Huo Yao arrived at the address Zhuo Yun had sent her. The moment she got out of the taxi, Zhuo Yun saw her at the estate entrance.
Zhuo Yun walked over and watched the taxi drive off. There was no one behind her, so he was a little disappointed. However, he quickly forced a smile. "Miss Huo, is the incense maker... not here yet?"
Huo Yao glanced at Zhuo Yun. "Not yet."
Zhuo Yun mistakenly assumed that the incense maker would be late, so he nodded. "Oh... I'll take you in first. I'll come out when the incense maker is here."
Huo Yao acknowledged him softly without explaining.
Zhuo Yun's car was parked by the road since they were in the estate. He opened the door for Huo Yao and waited for her to get in before closing the door and getting into the driver's seat.
Soon, the gate of the residential area opened after the card was swiped. Zhuo Yun drove into the residential area.
A few minutes later, Huo Yao got out of the car. She glanced at the villa calmly before she followed Zhuo Yun inside.
There were a few people standing in the huge villa, and the atmosphere was very solemn.
Huo Yao raised her eyes to glance at them. Apart from Old Mr. Pei, there was another person standing next to him. She was stunned for a moment, but she quickly composed herself.
Min Yu was leaning against the couch. His face was so pale that even his lips were drained of blood. He was visibly stunned when he saw Huo Yao walking in.
He turned to look at Zhuo Yun and instantly realized that he was the one who had called Huo Yao.
Min Yu straightened his back slightly. However, the movement caused the blood in his chest to churn, and he coughed violently. Blood trickled down the corner of his lips, but he picked up a tissue unhurriedly to wipe it off.
"You're here." His voice was as clear and cold as usual.
Huo Yao's eyes dimmed slightly as she acknowledged him softly.
The moment she appeared, everyone in the living room turned to look at her. Old Mr. Pei was thinking about Min Yu's injury, so he greeted her when he saw Huo Yao. "Huo Yao."
The moment Huo Yao called out to Yang Yi, he instantly realized who Zhuo Yun was talking about. He frowned and glanced sharply at Huo Yao before veering his eyes away.
Before long, Yang Yi raised his head. This time, he looked at Zhuo Yun instead of Huo Yao and asked in a deep voice. "Didn't you say you were going to pick up the highly-skilled doctor?"
What was the use of picking up an ordinary person who didn't know anything?
What's more, the relapse of his master's old illness was all thanks to the person in front of him. If she hadn't invited him to the night market, his master wouldn't have been injured.
Yang Yi's expression turned even colder at this thought.
Zhuo Yun scratched his head. He knew that Yang Yi was biased against Huo Yao, so he automatically ignored his cold expression and replied in a muffled voice. "Miss Huo's friend will be here soon."
Yang Yi sneered and glanced at Huo Yao. "I can't wait to see."
Only someone as stubborn as Zhuo Yun would think that a miracle doctor would come. If there really was a miracle doctor, why would Miss Huo be the only one here?
Huo Yao's expression was calm. She did not care about his hostility and walked over unhurriedly. She frowned slightly when she saw Min Yu's expression.
His old illness had relapsed, and his breathing was in a mess. His injury could no longer be described as a minor one.
She glanced at the nerve-soothing incense burning by the side before she walked over and put it out.
Yang Yi's eyes widened abruptly and he roared. "What are you doing?"
