Huo Yao returned to the living room. Before Song Ning and Huo Jinyan could speak, she asked first. "Mom, what's our address? A friend of mine wants to send me something."
She was already taking out her phone to jot down the address.
Song Ning hurriedly gave her an address. After giving it to her, Song Ning thought for a moment before she asked softly. "Your friend? Is she your friend who used to live with Lu Xia's grandmother? "
Huo Yao was texting someone. Her fingers paused when she heard Song Ning's question. Then she raised her eyes to glance at Song Ning before she casually acknowledged her.
Just as Song Ning was about to ask further, Huo Jinyan tugged at her arm and shook his head.
Their daughter had just come back, so it was not wise to interfere.
Huo Yao put her phone in her pocket after she sent the text. Then she raised her head and looked at Song Ning. "Did you have a question for me?"
Song Ning hesitated for a moment before she smiled gently and shook her head. "Nope."
She glanced at No.1 Middle School's acceptance letter and contemplated for a few seconds before she said, "Oh, I almost forgot. Xiaxia is studying at No.1 Middle School too. I'll give her a call and ask her to take care of you. Although both of you were switched at birth, she has a gentle personality. You should get along well."
Even though Xiaxia's words last night were unpleasant, Song Ning knew her through and through. She felt at ease having someone to take care of her daughter in an unfamiliar environment.
Huo Yao recalled how Lu Xia acted like a slut when she first met her last night. She smiled playfully and replied calmly, "Oh."
"Oh yes. Xiaxia is taking part in a variety show. What's it called?" Song Ning could not recall the show's name and could not help patting her head.
"It's called Star Training Camp," said Huo Jinyan.
"Yeah, it's called Star Training Camp. Yaoyao, have you watched it? It seems pretty popular. "Song Ning felt that young people would like the show.
Huo Yao shook her head uninterestedly. "No, I haven't watched it."
Song Ning wanted to say that she could vote for Xiaxia, but she changed her mind. "Huh? You don't watch it?" "Uh huh.
"Uh huh. It's a waste of time," replied Huo Yao lazily before she added. "It'll affect my studies."
The corners of Song Ning's mouth twitched. She was rendered speechless.
Huo Yao did not want to continue this pointless topic, so she changed the topic. "Oh yes. Don't you guys live at home?"
Song Ning nodded. "They have their own things to do, so they don't stay at home anymore."
After a few seconds, Song Ning was afraid that her daughter would misunderstand, so she said, "You came back too suddenly. Other than Eldest, Second, Third, and Fourth Brothers are still out of town. You will be able to see them when they are done with their work."
Huo Yao raised her brow when she heard Song Ning say that they all had their own things to do. She contemplated for a few seconds before she asked. "Do they all have jobs?"
Song Ning was stunned. Even though she didn't understand why her daughter had asked her this question, she still nodded her head.
Huo Yao did not probe further. Instead, she said obediently, "I'm going back to my room."

Huo Yao's eyes landed on the laptop on the desk when she went back to her room. She contemplated for a few seconds before she walked over and turned it on.
The laptop was brand new, and the desktop was very clean. There were no software installed.
