Report

"Uh huh," acknowledged the assistant before he walked out of the conference room.

Vice President Qin turned around and was about to sit down at the conference table when his phone rang in his pocket.

He paused and took out his phone. When he saw the unfamiliar number, he hung up without hesitation.

But the moment he hung up, a message popped up on his screen. There were only two words on it.

[Prescription.]

Vice Chairman Qin's pupils contracted. The first person that came to mind when he saw this name was Huo Yao.

He looked at the number and realized that it was the same number he had hung up on earlier.

Qin Zheng stood motionlessly on the spot with his phone in his hand. There were still 20 minutes before the official meeting. He tapped the screen twice and dialed the number.

Before long, the call went through and a cold female voice said, "I'm waiting for you in your office."

"I'll wait for you in your office."

Qin Zheng heard the familiar voice and realized that it was indeed that girl.

He opened his mouth and was about to speak when he heard the beeping sound of the line being disconnected.

The other party had hung up on him.

Qin Zheng was used to being flattered, so it was rare for someone to hang up on him so rudely. However, when he recalled the prescription in Huo Yao's hands, he quickly suppressed his unhappiness.

The other party was probably looking for her not only to get the medicine from her to save Min Yu, but more importantly, to ruin the re-election of the Guild President.

Qin Zheng knew what she was up to. His lips twitched as he raised his head to look at the people around the conference table. Then he strode out of the conference room.

He wanted the prescription, so he could only be the President.

The assistant standing at the door saw Vice President Qin and asked him in surprise. "Where are you going?"

Qin Zheng raised his hand. "I'm going back to my office. Keep an eye on things here. Call me if anything happens. I'll be down in a bit."

The assistant hurriedly nodded and agreed.

Qin Zheng took the lift to the third floor.

The second last room in the corridor was his office. The door was closed. Qin Zheng took out his card and was about to swipe it when his hand paused. He recalled what Huo Yao said over the phone.

In his office?

Qin Zheng narrowed his eyes. Then he pressed his card on the door.

Unlocking the door, he pushed it open and went in.

As soon as he entered, he saw a tall and slender figure standing in front of the floor-to-ceiling glass window with his back facing the door. He was wearing a long black coat and had a cold aura around him.

Qin Zheng looked at that person's back and said in a deep voice, "How did you get in?"

Half a minute later, she finally turned around nonchalantly. Huo Yao's charming features entered Qin Zheng's vision.

"If I want to enter, I can naturally enter." Huo Yao smiled innocently. She took a few steps forward and sat down casually on the couch.

Qin Zheng frowned slightly when he saw how brazen she was. He thought about it and decided not to waste his breath. "Where's the prescription?"

Huo Yao crossed her legs and looked inexplicably languid. She tilted her head and looked at Qin Zheng. Instead of answering his question, she asked him a question. "I'm curious. Why didn't your boss give you any prescriptions?"

Qin Zheng's frown deepened. Judging from Huo Yao's attitude, it was clearly different from what he had expected.

It was as though... she was not here to ask for the prescription or to sabotage the election.
