The six warships were so easy to recognize that Roland could see them from the city wall without flying to the sky.
Although he trusted Brenda's words, he was still cautious. He flew above the battleship with Human Cannonball and cast Detect Evil on the ground.
All the warships were glowing in red.
He cast Evil Detection on another warship, only to see a whole warship glowing in red again.
He flew around in midair, only to discover that all the warships were so red that they were almost black.
Without any hesitation, he smashed the warships with fireballs.
The fireballs didn't need to be too big, only about one meter in diameter.
Perhaps because they had never encountered Mages before, those warships didn't take any measures against flying Mages. Although a lot of archers shot arrows at Roland, they weren't powerful enough. Occasionally, one or two arrows hit Roland, only to be deflected by the Magic Shield.
Roland's fireball, on the other hand, hit the middle of the warship and blew it into halves. The warship sank to the bottom.
After Roland blew up three warships in a row, the remaining three warships grew anxious and began to raise their sails.
However, it took time to start a behemoth like a warship. Just because you raised your sails didn't mean that you could run at full speed. You had to accelerate slowly.
Besides, what could you do even if you ran at full speed?
Could you be faster than Human Cannonball?
A minute later, three blue fireballs sent the remaining three warships to the bottom of the ocean. Then, Roland flew back to the gate of the city hall.
Then, as soon as he entered the door, he saw Vincent coming out with a simple green cloth hat. He pretended to put it on his head and said unhappily, "Who asked you to learn from Guan Yu? Who asked you to pretend? Do you want to be cuckolded so badly?"
Roland was speechless. He gently slapped the green hat aside.
Liz and Brenda watched the show with smiles on their faces.
Andonara didn't know much about the players' culture. She watched the interaction between the three of them in bewilderment. She found it strange that Roland hated being cuckolded so much when there was nothing wrong with it.
Vincent was quite familiar with Luo Si. That was why he was joking.
After arguing for a while, Brenda stood up and said, "It's the patrol team's job now. Roland, thank you. We played tricks on you. I'll treat you to a feast as an apology after you return from the dungeon."
Roland estimated that White-haired Kempfer would be desperate now that he had lost his warship. He asked, "You don't need our help?"
"That's enough." Brenda stood up and said, "This is the responsibility of the Bluewater Harbor Security Patrol. If we let outsiders do everything, what's the point of our existence?"
"People might die," Vincent said.
Brenda stood up. Her eyes were bright. "Being a member of the patrol team and earning a much higher salary than ordinary civilians means that there's bound to be such danger."
Roland asked curiously, "What's your profession in reality?"
"Special police."
No wonder! Roland nodded inwardly.
After that, Roland and the others watched a good show.
Without a warship and a way out, White-haired Kempfer led a hundred subordinates and charged at the mayor's residence in desperation.
However, Brenda was prepared. A thousand heavy infantry ambushed the hundred pirates on the road from the port to the mayor's residence and surrounded them.
Even though Kempfer had a dozen professionals under his command, they weren't strong enough to change the outcome of a battle on land.
Besides, Brenda was a commanding player. She had three command auras. To put it simply, they were the aura of courage, the aura of attack speed, and the aura of defense.
It was a very unscientific skill, but it could at least double the combat power of the entire army.
Their combat ability was almost as good as that of the lowest-level professionals.
White-haired Kempfer couldn't possibly defeat them. He was only good at sea battles.
The battle was over in an hour. Except for a few people, the other hundred pirates were all executed.
Roland and the others watched when White-haired Kempfer was captured.
A few soldiers brought Kempfer, who was too weak to move and covered in blood, to Brenda.
He was a strong old man. If it weren't for his silver hair and wrinkles on his face, it wouldn't be an exaggeration to say that he was a young man in terms of his body and his muscles.
The man looked at Brenda arrogantly and glanced at Roland and the others. In the end, he fixed his eyes on Roland with hatred.
"It's you! It's you!" Kempfer struggled crazily and bulged his eyes. "I have no grudge against you. Why did you blow up my warships? Why?"
Vincent was wearing a gray robe, and Roland was wearing a blue robe. Kempfer, on the other hand, watched a blue shadow blow up six of his warships in the sky in a tavern on the port.
He had blown up all of his assets, blown up his escape route, and blown up his future.
He had been living a carefree and arrogant life in the Bluewater Port. He didn't expect that the world would change so drastically.
Looking at the old man who was struggling crazily and roaring, Roland subconsciously cast Evil Detection on him.
It was so red that it was glowing.
He shook his head and ignored the man, turning around and leaving.
Andonara and the others followed him.
Brenda acted quickly. Half a day later, Kempfer was publicly tried and hanged in the square.
Ten thousand people attended the public trial in the square. After Kempfer was hanged, everybody in the city cheered.
Kempfer had suffered in the Bluewater Port for a long time.
That night, the mayor, who hadn't shown up, showed up at the celebration party with his son, Theodore.
Theodore was not interested in the Golden Sons. He tried to approach Andonara, but Andonara simply ignored him.
After several failures, the little guy hid in a corner gloomily.
On the second day of the celebration party, Roland and the others received a boat provided by the mayor. Even the sailors were assigned to it.
The island wasn't far from the port. It could be seen on the horizon from a higher place in the city.
Roland could fly there on his own, but he wasn't confident that he could conquer the dungeon on his own.
The ocean was very different from a river. Most importantly, the waves on the ocean were much higher than those on a river when the wind wasn't strong.
Many people thought that as long as it was a boat, it would be able to go into the sea. However, this was wrong. Boats that traveled on rivers usually had flat bottoms, so they would be easily capsized by larger waves.
The bottom of a boat was rounder, and its center of gravity was steadier.
But even so, the small boat rocked violently on the way.
Vincent's face was pale, and he vomited many times.
Andonara and Liz, who had better physiques, were fine.
Roland, on the other hand, felt much more dizziness from Long-Distance Teleportation. It wasn't a problem for him at all.
Although the journey wasn't far, it took the boat almost four hours to reach its destination.
It was already three in the afternoon.
Stepping on the soft, silver beach, Roland took out the map that Hawk gave him and estimated the distance. He said, "We'll walk for two hours first. When we're almost there, when it's almost dark, we'll rest for the night to conserve our strength."
"Okay, no problem."
Everybody agreed with the proposal.
Few people came to this island. Weeds and thorns were everywhere. It was quite difficult to walk on.
Roland cleared the way in the front. He pushed aside the weeds with his enormous Hands of Magic, and two shield-holding puppets explored the way.
Because it was an island, there were no large animals, but there were a lot of colorful vipers.
After walking for two hours, Roland and his companions found a relatively flat place and built a two-story building with Mud to Stone, leaving only a few holes on the roof. Then, the four of them took a rest in it.
To be honest, the vipers everywhere were quite disgusting. Thankfully, Roland could build a safe place of rest with his spells.
The four of them sat on the clean and cool second floor, eating and resting at the same time.
But late at night, Andonara suddenly covered her chest and looked at the center of the island in discomfort.
"What's wrong?" asked Roland.
"Something seems to be calling me from that place," Andonara frowned. Andonara's beautiful eyebrows furrowed. "But there's also a force that makes me feel rather uncomfortable. It's telling me to get out of here."
Everybody looked at her weirdly.
"Will it affect your combat ability?"
Andonara shook her head.
"Then you take a rest first." Roland thought for a moment and said, "We'll see what happens tomorrow."
Early the next morning, the four of them casually ate some food and set off. They walked until noon before they found the cave according to the map.
Looking at the dark cave, Roland said, "This place is really hard to find. How did Hawk and his companions find this place?"
"Maybe it's the players' instinct to explore," Liz explained. "Mages like you study the nature of magic every day, but for us who don't need to study magic, we have to explore the map every day when we have nothing to do."
That did make sense.
The butcher classes had nothing to do if they didn't fight. It was indeed boring.
At this point, Andonara looked even more uncomfortable when she looked at the cave.
Roland had been observing her face. Seeing her reaction, he said, "Why don't we just forget it?"
"It's not uncomfortable." Andonara shook her head. She thought for a moment and explained, "It's just a kind of palpitation. My intuition tells me that this place is dangerous and we shouldn't come here. But my instincts tell me that I should go in and take a look. So, I'm in a dilemma. "
Even a Quasi-Legend had such a feeling?
Roland thought for a moment and said, "Why don't you go in and let the three of us who can be resurrected go in and take a look?"
Andonara shook her head. "I'm going with you."
Roland thought for a moment and said, "Then remember to run if there's any danger. We can't be resurrected by Gold Power. You can't."
Andonara nodded.
The four of them walked into the cave together.
Liz, who was fully armed, led the way. After about three minutes, with the help of the illumination ball, Roland and his companions saw an enormous hollow.
It wasn't natural, but it had been dug out by someone.
The cave was high and spacious. Many blue firebirds were flying around. There were about a hundred of them. They shrieked and swooped at the intruders when they saw them.
According to their rehearsal, they were supposed to shoot down the firebirds.
At this point, Andonara suddenly said, "Don't attack!"
Everybody looked at her weirdly.
Andonara stepped forward and extended her right hand. A blue flame was burning on the tip of her finger.
The firebirds immediately stopped and flew to the center at the same time, before they swooped at a sword that was stabbed into the ground.
At this moment, Roland and his companions finally noticed the longsword that was stabbed into the ground.
After all the firebirds swooped at the sword, the sword was ablaze in blue flames. It was impossible to tell what it looked like, but the shadow of the sword could be seen in the flames.
Also, the flames spread down the sword and soon reached the ground.
Then, blue stripes glittered, and an enormous blue magic array that looked like a spider web appeared in front of everybody.
The cave glowed brightly.
Blue magic light filled every corner of the cave.
Vincent heaved a sigh. "Hawk said that those firebirds are quite troublesome. They're not afraid of physical attacks and can only be destroyed by magic. They can also regenerate. I didn't expect that they could be killed by the plot. "
As he talked, he glanced at Andonara.
Then, he looked at Roland enviously.
Bringing a plot NPC could be used for other purposes, such as warming the bed. That was really … enviable.
Roland squatted and threw a stone into the magic array. There was no reaction at all.
He turned around and looked at Andonara. "How do you feel?"
"Not as bad as before." Andonara nodded. "I'll go and draw the sword now."
"Wait." Roland stopped Andonara. "We don't know what this magic array is for. It won't be good if it's a trap. I'll try it first."
After that, he asked two shield-holding puppets to modify the sword.
However, the moment the shield-holding puppets touched the blue flames on the sword, they were burnt into elementary elemental particles.
"It's so powerful."
Roland thought for a moment and said, "It seems that we have to resort to brute force. Liz, you're a Priest of the Water God. Do you have spells that can irrigate water? "
"No," Liz said helplessly. "I'm a Battle Priest. All I know are battle skills and divine powers."
"Then let me do it," said Roland. "I'll turn this place into a swamp with Stone to Mud, sink the sword, and destroy the magic array. That should be enough to put out the flames on the sword."
At this moment, Andonara said, "That's unnecessary. I'll draw the sword."
"But …"
Andonara said with a smile, "The blue flames can't hurt me. After all, it's a unique ability of my family. "
After a brief silence, Roland said, "Remember, run away if anything goes wrong."
"Got it."
Andonara couldn't have been more delighted to see that Roland cared about her so much.
If nobody else were here, Andonara would've jumped into Roland's arms and made out with him.
Taking a deep breath, she walked into the magic array and grasped the hilt of the sword.
Her movement seemed to have triggered some sort of mechanism. The blue flames were condensed and melted into the longsword.
The blue light of the magic array gradually disappeared.
The sword appeared in everybody's eyes too.
The hilt of the sword was bright gold, and the blade was blue. Fluorescence was flowing on the blade.
The entire sword had only those two colors. It was rather plain, but it gave the feeling that it was something extraordinary.
Andonara pulled the longsword out with a little effort.
Then, flames surged in Andonara's blue eyes.
Five seconds later, Andonara said, "I've obtained a memory. Roland, get out of the cave and prepare for battle. It's coming out."
